Well E3 last year screwed up showing off all those veterans. Why can't Meta Knight just be shown if gameplay without actually having much focus like the veterans in the direct?

Did you hear anyone go "Wow Pit is back!!" or did you hear "Wow Megaman is here!!" a little more often? Every veteran after E3 seems to have gotten a focus, it would be kinda strange to drop em meaninglessly now. But I can't say it's impossible!

I don't see why there couldn't just be a presentation like a shorter Smash direct at E3. I'm guessing that would be were the customisation is going to be explained.

IIRC Golden Week is a week in Japan were there are a bunch of holidays so Sakurai might be taking the week off.

I think this discussion is better off in the E3 speculation thread.

Because at E3 you have to compete with many other...well pretty much every other game announcement starting off with a bang. Usually a trailer to get the hype going right off the bat. I also think customization will be explained at a panel or talk after the trailers. Among other modes and things. I think it's on topic because I'm arguing why I think we'll see Meta Knight this friday :3 I've been wrong before, and we'll see, but until then I'm ganna make my points. I really think the logical (and best from a marketing standpoint) thing to do is reveal Meta Knight this Friday.

Yeah it's this week, although technically it starts on the 29th which is tomorrow. If there's no manga or PotDs I wont know what to do with my life.

Also, I'm sure we'll get some character reveals in May. Or at least one to even it out. 30 playable characters for the demo.

30-character demo? Didn't the brawl demo have, like, 8 or 10 characters? Or am I thinking of something else?

It would be kind of disappointing to start the week with "sorry, no pics for a week", but I guess that wouldn't be out of the question... especially when it comes to Sakurai haha! Hopefully we do get pics though.

I'm not expecting anything major this week though. For character reveals, I don't see MetaKnight being revealed for the US release of Triple Deluxe, we've missed many more obvious choices before. IF we get a character before E3, I'd guess we'll gave to wait further into May for that.

We've seen only her Tennis Racket, AND she has a new animation for it, that actually looks like she uses a Racket. So it would appear she no longer has the Club or Pan, sadly.

Last time he took off he gave us an empty picture of battlefield, and we were talking about that nonstop, so I think he'll do the same this time (if he does take the week off that is).
