idk if this is the right place to put this, but do people do tech/land option selects with people who have zero/low landing lag attacks?

what i mean is like, ie with spacies if you aren't sure if you'll be out of stun by the time you hit the ground, hit

b > direction to tech > r/l trigger

really quickly in succession right before landing so that if you aren't in stun you land with zero landing lag (in this case from laser) but if you are in stun you'll end up teching. you'll have to release r/l really fast with zero lag attacks if you don't want to be in shield (unless you want to land with immediate shield or something)

just a thought <.<

edit nvm you can just wiggle until right before you land and tech ignore this post

For no reason did he have to format his card? Then whjy'd he do it? If you ask me you can't blame smash for not forcing you to do something :troll:'

Read through to the bottom after all the abshing about how boring melee is and he says " I give a 1/5 for no sonic, or else it would be a perfect score"
I love this kid, he's got spunk.

Has there ever been an idea for a circuit type thing besides the whole MLG scene? I'll do my best to explain. I'm talking about having tournaments throughout the year that you get points based on your placings and the information is stored on the site and keeps accumulating as you play in tournaments. There would be seeds obviously. Little more things to cover, but I think you get the point.

I don't have a problem with the way current tournaments are ran, but just wondering if this has been talked about. Would it take away from the whole pool play entertainment we see today or just straight up fine the way it is?

Thats sort of like the Road to Apex thing?

They had select tournaments where depending on your placement you received points and the point winners at the end given like X amount of dollars or something like that.

Well what he's talking about is that but for league placings, not just for one tourney.

We have ELO, kind of...so that's kind of like placings which could be used for seeding in the future.

Doubt it. Maybe they'll make it better than brawl but they probably won't look at competitive melee and see that people enjoy a certain deepness to the game.

Sakurai's not in charge, Smash 4 might actually be playable now!
Series creator Masahiro Sakurai will still be heading up the project, which is normally developed by his HAL Laboratory team.
Missed a line there. :d

I have a tiny bit more faith that this next Smash won't be as disastrously disappointing as the third Smash game, mostly because there's this director involved to keep Sakurai on his Kirby-****ing leash. But I'm still not convinced.
