Yeah I remember you talking about the new training mode, super-stoked. On emore thing, will the rule set have a default 4-stocks, 8 min? That'd be nice.

4 stocks for sure, timer will be optional, but on by default.Yeah I remember you talking about the new training mode, super-stoked. On emore thing, will the rule set have a default 4-stocks, 8 min? That'd be nice.
Spectating is definitely something we're aiming for, but how many spectators you can have with P2P is going to be limited to the connection of whoever is serving the game.I really hope theres capabilities to spectate matches in player lobbies while waiting for your turn. I mean the only thing that will keep me busy is voice chatting with my friends while we wait. Or maybe training mode. But spectating would definitely be the most favorable option.
Leaderboards and ranked match would be interesting as well but I wouldn't mind doing without it. XD
Online ELO would be completely separate from tournament ELO, so no worries about ELO farming and such. And yeah, along with ranked matches would be the ability to report hackers, though I doubt that would come up very frequently at all, and most reports would probably be from salty gamers, haha.lets not have ranked matches until were sure that hacking is not an option????
also taht would be mad elo farming. unless its for only tournies
sounds like you thought of everything, but it will be annoying when complete scrubs report people who know how to play and just 4 stock themOnline ELO would be completely separate from tournament ELO, so no worries about ELO farming and such. We are planning to have replay ability, yes. I was planning on making it similar to the ssf4 recording, where basically every match is recorded and you choose to save it or not.Oh that's right, considering recording, will there be an option to record matches in within the emulator? That is, not record a video, but button presses and stuff so that you can replay the game afterward and record while recording with Fraps this time. This is what is used with Project64k and mupen.
Massive and I are in discussion about having video clips play in the background of the main menu. There won't be any idle demos, it's an annoying "feature" left over from old arcade machines. That's why they should TAS some amazing combos into the DEMO when the games starts, so that it's the first thing players see when the game starts instead of those *******s free for all clips.
[Massive] the only song you can hear at tournaments is dreamland 64
[Massive] and the ****ing menu
this is awesomeNot to sound too much like a rapist.
I'm 20, gonna be a junior at Rutgers doing IT and Computer Science. I run a freelance PC repair business on the side. Still got plenty of time for Smash. :DSo I'm just curious, how old are you guys and what do y'all do for a living. This question is aimed at IE and Massive. Not to sound too much like a rapist. Just really curious. SSBMO would be asdgfasdfasdf amazing
I just turned 27 last Friday, and I'm a Software Engineer for a medical transcription company in Kansas City. I went to school in Rolla, Missouri, where I got a B.S. in C.S. and did a bunch of math and stuff. So I'm just curious, how old are you guys and what do y'all do for a living. SSBMO will patch whatever version you have to 1.02 for you, which is the version we support. Also what about game versions? Is this going to support all versions?
I can see a very big comeback from mango if there's ranked melee online matches. I mean the guy only plays pc games these days but melee's always fun.Online ELO would be completely separate from tournament ELO, so no worries about ELO farming and such. I run weekly smashfests out of my basement because I am sometimes considered a grown up and also own a house for some reason.
Please don't **** me.
Unless 007-jake is actually a very odd girl's name, in which case:
I am among the most eligible of smashing bachelors, COME AT ME BRO-DETTE.
Delay habits? Wat.Well, that would be nice for consistency but bad for habits wouldn't it? Unless one plans to play online mostly. Perhaps this will work so well that online tournaments become a legitimate thing.
Morino = FAKE SMASHERMelee online will soon be plagued by the divide in 64 that is "console smash" and "fake online smash" as dubbed my malva00/ISAI. But who cares, Melee online is gonna be sick.
Sorry, but that would actually be a surprisingly large amount of work. I can think of how I would do it, but I'd rather not put in the effort to ADD input lag into Melee, lol. This is probably dumb, but could you guys make an AR code that delays input to match the average connection speed you would expect? Like if you expect 3 frames of lag on average, have every input delayed by that amount. For practice reasons, obviously. >.>
Yeah, that probably wouldn't be too difficult but it would also require editing the actual stage itself, meaning it wouldn't be as simple as an AR code. Not something I personally have interest in investigating.Sorry for off-topic, but since you seem to be quite skilled with programming and AR, would it be possible to extend the home-run contest field somehow? =)
