1. Welcome to the community and enjoy your stay

2. Acting like an a** towards another community is a way for us to lose so stop it already. If you have nothing nice to say about SG, don't say anything. There is no point. Either discuss melee or donate.

3. Smash was never insulted by Skullgirls in the slightest outside of that one joke twitter post in which case 50,000 people responded and were buthurt. If you want to represent smash as that type of game when we clearly are not, go do so and ruin our community. They have supported us in fact in many ways through some of their other twitter posts.

4. Just because a community is small doesn't mean the game is less technical or a worse fighter. I mean, hey, compare VF5 or Tekken to MVC tournaments where the latter is much more popular regardless of balance. You can see this in smash with 64 having 1/100th the competitive scene of brawl but being twice as fast and twice as balanced.

I mean, to bring up another series, the most popular shooter series is COD. There, I'll end the post with that.

I firmly understand that Skullgirls is a bad game. Games that don't sell well can be good, but SG is not one of those games. It sells poorly because it is a bad game period. That's why there's no support or real community behind it. Why would I play SG when I can play Marvel or SF which are infinitely better in every way SG tried to be?

The few people that bought the game clearly did so because of sex appeal and fetishes. If you don't believe this you are delusional.

Two things.

1. Many people bought the game for one simple reason. It was due tot the designers. They were comp fighters making a comp fighting game. Look at the infinite break system or the design of the engine.

My single issue with the game was that it was simply too short. There isn't enough to do as there really is barely any extra content. There aren't enough characters to keep people interested.

On another note, if people were buying a game for "physics" they would play DOA, Mortal Kombat potentially, or just play Ivy in SC.

In terms of COD, I was partially kidding but otherwise, compare the general responses of people of COD to the original competitive shooters like Quake or similar. The massive outrage was due to balance issues and unchanging game mechanics and those issues people have far exceeds any small thing that nitwits like you are saying about a small indie game, aka Skullgirls.
