yeah pink reaper, it's not the harshness of the moderation i'm concerned with necessarily (the infraction system is pretty lenient tbh) but the inconsistency. you guys seem to play favorites a lot.

i'm pretty sure this happens when posts are deleted. the forum software probably thinks the posts are still there when it returns the corresponding amount of "total pages"... but displays the latest posts on an earlier page. once the next page of posts is near the bottom, you will see the invisible page again.

just a guess, not sure if this is actually the case.

I know two, they both resigned. lol. I also know Scabe, a mod, I like him. But, he doesn't "care" that he's a mod. It's the ones that care and take it so seriously.

As for the admins, I dunno if there's any decent ones.
M2K suggested (after I joked) I should buy the site.
Could you imagine how many suicidal people we'd have when I revoke almost every mod and admin's power if I did that?

It isn't really unknown that moderation is really inconsistent on this website. That's my biggest thing. You break the rules and get in trouble? Fine. But everyone who breaks the rules better be treated equally.

How is it inconstant? It's very consistent in every sense of the word. You don't see moderation that happens to other users, I'm not sure how someone could even come to this conclusion with so little information about others infractions.

I'm not sure why people seem to think that breaking the rules once constitutes never being forgiven.

Forgiveness isn't a recent thing.

When has this happened? We actually have a policy for permbans and you can find right now several users that have been permbanned in the past that are active users today, such as Mango for an example. The users who abide by the policy are given a chance to post again while the users who break the policy aren't, it's pretty simple.

I mean...it's more work for you than us. Whatever floats your boat though. I would say you don't know much about most of the staff if you think they all suck at the game/are distant from the scene. You got banned for posting pornography(which can get this website in serious trouble) just like anyone else who has posted pornography. You were told the same policy as everyone else and you seemed to want to post on the boards again normally but I guess you would rather have the hard way. I think it's awesome that you donated so much to melee, but that doesn't have anything to do with smashboards and doesn't put you above the rules.

All I gave was the funny story where we said wait 'till June, and then June comes and you pop off and tell us to go ahead and keep you banned 'cause you'll keep massing alts and proxies. o_o I don't know why you're retelling this, though, on Facebook you told me it's just a waste of your time.

You are more distant from the scene, almost every good player I've spoken to hates the admins on this site, and as for "an account being hard to make", read my accounts name, the grammar may be off, but quite often as was the case back then, you admins didn't honor your word, you could ask the Australian board when they bombarded the forum support saying stuff like "Stop banning Nova when he's only posting tourney info", I know there were at least 20 of them lol.

As for now, I don't care, you never had any intention of unbanning the Nova account, it was a way of keeping me quiet, so I simply started posting through your easy to get around bans, and guess what, it ain't hard, it don't take long, and you end up with more users hating you in the end (which is already very high), I'd put it at 90% of the "really good" users (trust me I've talked to a lot of them lately) hating the admins on this site.

And whoever it was that contacted me on Facebook was clueless, they had no idea and honestly thought I would fall for the same crap again? I could tell as soon as he posted he was gonna go the way of "we can work something out if you work with us", sorry, I don't work that way, especially when I know I always was right. They didn't even know M2K had already spoken to Bionic about me, which at that stage, I told M2K, if you can do that (get the ban lifted, talk to Bionic), he did, and M2K came back to me with a lot of swear words about what you admins are. <3

Also, how is one supposed to differentiate what a "perma-ban" is when the ban I first got was for "9" points, that was set to "never" expire? Answer? Your system is dumb and flawed. But of course we have the admin come in here and lie saying I broke out and did this and that, when I was originally banned for the most hilarious reason and even several mods thought it. It doesn't bother me everytime you ban an account, if I want to post something, it'll get posted, 'kay? But let's not lie and say I didn't wait the full period, 'cause I did, I can change around html and print screen as well to make it look like I did (which is what I suspect that junk is in those images).

Oh yeah, ban away, I know what joy you guys get from it (ps: I've done more for this scene with the ban on, I just had to used accounts that were already created, but not activated, but I'm sure you figured that one out by now lol).

Because in their insane eyes, Nova posted, as the admin on the previous page said I posted "pornography", a pair of uneven breasts (from a medical website) at someone who was saying tiers don't exist, in my way of showing them "the top one is Sheik, the bottom one is Pichu" or something similar.
We now had the admin "Bionic" who found this extremely offensive and gave a lifetime ban for it.

Careful of those uneven breasts people...they're very offensive.

Then you have another admin (Crimson, who I assume has changed names) saying the ban was going to be reversed, but Bionic said he never had ANY intention of reversing it, so that's where I think our wires are getting crossed.

So the point is, I think Bionic is a higher up admin or some crap, thus what he says goes, but I could be wrong, I am the user that afterall posted the most offensive picture in the history of the Internet, forget Tubgirl, forget Goatse, hell, even forget Kids in a Sandbox, uneven breasts are far FAR worse than all of these combined!

Offensive to you or not, breasts are considered pornography. This site is for kids 13+, not 18+. What you might not find offensive, might be extremely offensive to others. If you start posting porn here, regardless of your reason, you can get yourself, and the entire site in a lot of trouble. You do understand that right? Hopefully you do, and can understand that they had to take action because we can't have people do that.

I honestly don't see why you're making a big fuss over your account anyways. From what I've gathered, you were offered your account back and you said "no" over your own pride or a misunderstanding on your part. Not entirely sure because you play it off like it's some conspiracy to keep you off the site.

Honestly, if you really wanted to be on here, you'd just calmly comply with the admins and you'd be back on in no time. But instead you're making this big scene that isn't necessary at all. :/

Banning for pornography has always been an indefinite ban. I followed up to several reports that were sent to my email, as all reported posts do. When you made your appeal, I said nothing and agreed with your unban, knowing you were a prominent TO. I'm not even sure what I was doing on June 2nd, 2011 (I don't exactly recall what I was doing on a random day 1.5 years ago), but I'm pretty sure I said that someone should reverse it because I couldn't do it at that moment.

As for me being high-up, no, never was. I am not as involved in the moderation aspect anymore. I quit back in October, came back temporarily to develop for the new Smashboards (and I still stream with vgbootcamp when gimr needs a hand) and push for things like getting the word out about the BCRD, and I'm pretty sure after Genesis 3 I'm done entirely.

Well dude, whoever you told, they failed to unban me (hence the alternate accounts being made, I needed to get out information to my scene about the tournament where I flew at least 14 people from other states to my state and boosted the pots substantially, I'll never apologize for promoting my tournaments) I think we've established that is "now" what happened. Maybe I've been too hard on you, maybe I haven't who knows, it's not like it's gonna change anything as it's been made very clear I'll never get my account back by a few admins.
