it's not a troll; MBR is currently waiting on Regional Leaders to go through the applications from their region and offer their opinions on those people before the final decision is made on each.
i dun believe it's real for whatever that's worth.

Lol. Right. Because not having an MBR to talk about tier lists and rule sets for like a month and a half has killed Melee. Drama queen.
On a serious note: We currently have members selected for EC, WC, and are still making progress on South. MW leaders have been selected and will be informed/accepted today. As soon as they get in and make their decisions, we should be good to go on the first round of new members.
For the record, I'm fairly certain I ran the 5th or 6th largest Melee tournament of this year 2 weeks ago (48 entrants). And I'm the only one with access to info from the MLG days via my email inbox now that they archived everything pre-2007. While not confirmed yet, my next Melee tournament will likely be May 21st (right now it is Brawl only but we are acquiring equipment and will announce if it is Brawl/Melee).
Given that, any chance you could fill in some of the spaces on my results tracking spreadsheet I just put up? It'd be nice to have a public record of old MLG results...I spent about a half-hour on the website before I got frustrated and gave up with little gleaned.

considering MLG's qualifiers were pretty rough, it was impressive to be in the amateur bracket at all.

if i remember correctly, the amateur bracket was basically the bracket of non-seeded players, which filled a few spots in the pro bracket. At MLG Chicago Azen had to go through the amateur pools, then the amateur bracket, and then finally the pro bracket.

So the MBR is having dead projects and we don't like that, so we make a project of reviving the MBR, and that also dies. I sense a positive feedback loop nearby.Ohhhhhhhh, it's taking too long. For shame. I'll get right on that.

you get infracted for talking to people off topic? i seriously have never gotten infracted or even warned for that.
Man, back in my day, things were so much better. Posts that were "fun" or "made jokes" were laughed at and enjoyed by all. Mods smacked down not the people who created fun and joy, but those that interfered with it by being jerks and negative Nancies (or Nancys, as your preference goes). Now, apparently this is all serious business.
