And arguably the green tunicMajora Mask is literally the next icon from the series most marketed after the triforce, hylian shield and master sword.
I think the obvious answers are Midna and Ghirahim. Maybe Vaati, I’ve been seeing more and more support building up.So after Skull Kid who do you think is next in line for a Zelda rep?
I'd say Impa or Tingle really they're both pretty iconic to Zelda as a whole to the point were they would feel just right.
Possibly Pig Gannon given of how iconic he is to top down Zelda's.
I think those are fairly realistic.
I want to say all of nothing is next, but Impa and Ganon do feel like logical next steps, if said steps are taken. So after Skull Kid who do you think is next in line for a Zelda rep?

What is this theory about? And the sakurai hates Zelda theory
I believe the theory is that half of the Zelda characters are clones or semi-clones like Ganondorf, Young Link, Toon Link and the only unique Zelda characters we have are Link, Zelda, and Sheik. Zelda hasn't gotten a unique newcomer since Melee, so that's why some people think Sakurai has a dislike biased for Zelda's representation in the roster. What is this theory about?
After Skull Kid, Ganon and Impa would be my next wanted Zelda reps as well. I also don't want Tingle in, especially over Skull Kid, Ganon, Impa, Midna, and Tetra. They all deserve to get in over him. After Skull Kid I'd like:
Impa
Pig Ganon
Midna
A Goron (Darunia perhaps?)
A Zora ( Princess Ruto?)
Hero's Shade echo
I don't really want Tingle lol.
The idea doesn't need much explaining; people think that Sakurai doesn't like Zelda, which leads to it not getting any proper newcomers since Melee. (and even then, the series' villain was made into a clone of an unrelated character and only recently started feeling like himself)What is this theory about?
I seem to remember a Skull Kid quote (can't remember if fan-made or from the game since I haven't yet beat MM or finished an LP) that fits this well:I know, right?
But, Skull Kid is only famous because of the ... mask, they say.
I think Majora's Mask on Skull Kid is the most iconic, and the one who grants more moveset potential, but I like Skull Kid with or without the mask.
You're thinking of the Bane quote in TDKR, which fits him very well, so no surprise people would use it for him.I seem to remember a Skull Kid quote (can't remember if fan-made or from the game since I haven't yet beat MM or finished an LP) that fits this well:
"No one cared about me until I put on the mask."
"No one cared who i was until I put on the mask."
I blame twilight princess for sucking, the named goron characters are oldThere's a very real reason Zelda hasn't gotten newcomers after Melee:
Brawl was focused on getting many of the last big A-list Nintendo characters into Smash. Midna was a one-shot character, and Sakurai wanted to represent Toon Link in some form and thought that was good enough. Majora's Mask was 7 years old at the time, so even if Skull Kid was wanted by people at the time, I can understand why an almost decade old character wasn't considered back then.
Smash U: By now the last 3D Zelda game was 3 years old, and Skyward Sword was the lowest selling 3D Zelda. Even in the pre-Smash U speculation I knew Giraghim was never going to get in, I wasn't surprised he was an Assist. Other choices like Vaati, Tingle, etc. were highly unlikely for different reasons.
The difference with Ultimate is not only did Majora's Mask 3D come out in 2015 at the right time, but now Majora's Mask had enduring popularity for 18 years. Skull Kid managed to transcend "one-shot character" status, and he's remained the second most popular villain of the franchise after Ganondorf. It's true he may not get in this time either, but at least it's the best chance he ever had.
Lastly there is Impa, and remember prior to Ultimate the whole concept of echoes was barely established yet. Impa would make a fine Shiek echo, but I just don't think there's as much demand as other possible echo characters so it probably won't happen
I did like Queen Rutela though because of her design which, I think she's beautiful.I blame twilight princess for sucking, the named goron characters are old
And our main zora character was a sick little boy
And that's what I get for not having seen The Dark Knight Rises, lol. It does fit Skull Kid a lot though! You're thinking of the Bane quote in TDKR, which fits him very well, so no surprise people would use it for him.
Why not both in one trailer? Since they're puppets and had a thing with lost forests. My Skull Kid hype is blown out the window. Halloween seems to be more in Geno's favor since his design is undeniably Halloweeny if you think about it. Skull Kid was so discussed, hyped and promoted next to Reggie's desk and to possibly see it all ignored? I don't know.
He has to be in.
This is highly influenced by the fact that BOTW is only the second Zelda game I played; but I'd like to see the four champions in the style of Pokemon Trainer. So after Skull Kid who do you think is next in line for a Zelda rep?

Sakurai has consistently shown ignorance and apathy when it comes to Zelda stuff. What is this theory about?
Skull Kid is a scarecrow looking prankster with a mask though.Halloween seems to be more in Geno's favor since his design is undeniably Halloweeny if you think about it.
This is what I hope happens now.Why not both in one trailer? Since they're puppets and had a thing with lost forests.
I know Skull Kid looks Halloween. I was stating Geno looks to be the likeliest if him and Skull Kid aren't debuting in the same trailer.Skull Kid is a scarecrow looking prankster with a mask though.
That or using the transformation masks, would be the best way to represent the different fantasy races of Zelda. I feel that is what the Zelda series is really missing character wise in Smash. They have these unique fantasy races that have cool designs and could have interesting movesets, but we don't get any of that. This is highly influenced by the fact that BOTW is only the second Zelda game I played; but I'd like to see the four champions in the style of Pokemon Trainer.
Huh? Link didn’t have a bow in 64.Sakurai has consistently shown ignorance and apathy when it comes to Zelda stuff.
-Never knew until after Smash 64 released that adult Link got his boomerang replaced with a bow.
-ReDead's trophy description in Melee says they're made out of magic and in Smash 4 it says they're made out of clay. Both of these are wrong. They're zombies.
-"There are actually multiple different Ganons. I know my Ganon Canon!"
Well I wasn't stating my most wanted zelda reps, I was trying to think who made the most sense realistically, I came to the conclusion of tingle given that he's a recurring character which helps him out, and well he was given his own spinoff game so yeah.I believe the theory is that half of the Zelda characters are clones or semi-clones like Ganondorf, Young Link, Toon Link and the only unique Zelda characters we have are Link, Zelda, and Sheik. A skull specifically.Come on, throw Zelda a bone.
Ha ha, good one!A skull specifically.
Be sure to share it here when you're done, I'd love to see how it turns out.Ha ha, good one!
Also I'm doing a Skull Kid tribute video for the anniversary of Majora's Mask in the US (October 26th), so having a reveal trailer before then would help give more clip variety, lol.
Ooooh! Good Luck!Ha ha, good one!

I actually have a preview video! The full one will probably be on my other channel because 1. that one has more subs and 2. a friend of mine is going to do some Majora dialogue for this part in the middle of the song where there's no lyrics, she like jumped at the chance when I asked her.Be sure to share it here when you're done, I'd love to see how it turns out.
Very nice. My depiction of Majora (not Skull Kid) is a God (or Goddess) of Space who has a sense of humor and hates the three goddesses but has some respect for Hylia. Considering how space-y her final battle is in terms of the color scheme of the environment, and Termina is a parallel world to Hyrule basically, I like that idea that she's a counterpart to the Goddesses of Hyrule.Very nice. If there is a goddess of time. There is always a God or Goddess of Space that is my logic. Also, find it interesting you are interpreting Majora as a Goddess. I'm curious to seeing how that goes.Considering how space-y her final battle is in terms of the color scheme of the environment, and Termina is a parallel world to Hyrule basically, I like that idea that she's a counterpart to the Goddesses of Hyrule.
I'm thinking October 16th. That seems to be the most popular date for this smash direct I keep hearing about.Wait Majora's Mask's anniversary is October 26? The circumstances are perfect for a reveal what the hell.
I don't think they've ever really based a reveal on an anniversary, much as the fans seem to want them to. It could happen though!Wait Majora's Mask's anniversary is October 26? The circumstances are perfect for a reveal what the hell.
Edit: Wait, that's for the American release. Do they even celebrate that? Was it already celebrated this year.
Looks like it’ll l be great, I’m sure you know this already, but make sure the video isn’t copyrighted.I actually have a preview video! To be honest, initially I just interpreted Majora as whatever, but the Majora Opera sold me on the idea of Majora being female. Also I found out recently there was this ancient culture in Brazil that made masks, the culture was called the Marajora, and they saw the moon as being associated with the female gender so females were most present in their iconography. So yeah.If there is a goddess of time. There is always a God or Goddess of Space that is my logic. Also, find it interesting you are interpreting Majora as a Goddess. I don't think they have either, but it would be awesomely fitting to reveal Skull Kid this month. What with the creepiness and Halloween-ness.I don't think they've ever really based a reveal on an anniversary, much as the fans seem to want them to. It could happen though!
Ever heard of Gremory from the Ars Goetia? To be honest, initially I just interpreted Majora as whatever, but the Majora Opera sold me on the idea of Majora being female.
