Marth's Best Teammate

I will try this thread making thing one more time. If this is another failure of a thread in your eyes please just do not answer and I will leave this forum.

What character do you think can bring out the best in a Marth in doubles,
and what techs would he be able to do effectively with said character.
How would this character support Marth in a fight and vice versa...
I myself am not completely sure of a good teammate for Marth, let alone the best.
Please reply if this thread is okay...

Because they're top tier.

They do big damage.

They kill people.

They're top tier.

Hence a Captain Falcon and MK team will be better than nearly any other Captain Falcon + other character team.

Because they're top tier.

marth has a unique combination of speed and power that is easy to use.

any character that also has these traits go well with marth.

notice, most of them are top tier.

actually different characters have higher tiers when it comes to doubles for example shiek is higher tier in a team because of her ability to tilt lock and combo

G&W is the best teams character lol. He has the best kill moves and the bucket and can combo. Yea, all 3 in one.

I think it would be more useful to talk about low/mid tiers who surprisingly do well with Marth. Cause every high/top tier works.

Lucas comes to mind.

^That should be a fairly decent team. Marth is good at building up damage but has no safe kill moves. Ike sucks at building up damage(well, he's not that great), but half is repertoire is kill moves. The biggest thing I'd say about that team is do your best to get platformed stages >>

At my school we have a little tourny comming up and my friend is gunna be Marth. I can't decide who I should be lol. I main Marth but seeing two on the screen might get me a bit confused. I have MK as secondary but I don't want the tourny to be a real easy win either lol cause my friend and I usually kill everyone anyway at my school. My third guy is Ike but I can't really rely on my friend to get people away from me as I try to get back on the stage. Plus I might kill him because the team attack is going to be on.

So my question is can someone help me decide who to be for this? The rules are No items, only neutral stages, team attack on and 5 stock (idk why 5).

Ike and Marth is pretty good, their fighting styles are like opposite, which is pretty good in teams, let me just tell you double Marth is pretty bad from my experience, but does your friend who you'll be teaming with play any characters other than Marth?

By the way the people in my school for this tourny arent really good at all. So they don't really know anything lol .They dont know chain grabs or good counterpicks or anthing.

Spam roll lol. See if they know how to punish it with good D-smashes and anticipation. If not, it helps more than spot-dodging. I.e., only if they suck.

Sounds like a scrub fight.
If you want my honest opinion, if you really want to win both you and your partner go mk and plank it. If One of you on each side of the stage.
If they threaten to ban, then you can fight it out normally and still win cause it's mk and they're scrubs.

Like pika, G&W, and MK (obviously). Ike is ok imo, Falco would be interesting. D3 would be good, as his anti-camp and strong grab strategy would be useful to make Marth's kill moves more safe, plus his ability to get opponents onto the edge would compliment marth's edgeguarding ability.
