So, what combos do/did you use? In the beginning, I used Toad on the Magikruiser (It was my first Mario Kart game and I had no idea about character stat boosts). It then switched to Yoshi on the Sneakster on Automatic. Now, I alternate between my heavy Mii on the Flame Runner/Flyer and Baby Luigi on the Bullet Bike. I also use Rosalina on the Runner and Bowser Jr. on either the Mach Bike or Wild Wing.

Time for a hack attack story! *clapping*

On a balloon battle, I met Silveria. He used his Mii on the bike on battle. On SNES Battle Course 4, I noticed a couple blue shells within the first 30 seconds, so I became suspicious. Silveria was following me without a starman while I (rather conveniently) had a bob-omb. When I dropped it behind me, I found a horde of red shells racing to me to get revenge. Down to my last balloon, I wheelie-danced to stop the madness. It worked, but another racer hit me with a shell since I was vulnerable. Most everyone left except him, me, and one other guy.
On N64 Skyscraper for coin runners, it was me and the other guy vs. Silveria. While Silveria and I continued to wheelie, my teammate collected half the coins. After awhile, Silveria collected all but the last coin, making the score 15-15. He would continuously bomb the last coin to make the match a tie.

That was a great night. I was using my Little Mac Mii (mid-weight) on the bike. If you have an epic hacker story, share it!

He he. I use Dry Bowser, Bowser, and the occasional Funky. Dry Bowser is actually low tier.

On The Move....
Spear is much harder when turning a tight turn, and mini boost and turbo isn't higher than the Flame Runner, also the speed isn't too noticeably high when comparing the Spear the Flame Runner.

I haven't played this game in such a long time. All I remember was how annoying it was to get 3 stars on all grand prix's. I also spent like 5 hours shaving off half a second to get a top ten record in the world on SNES mario circuit 3. I got 5th or something and it stood for like 2 days before all the japanese people beat me again. :(

standstill miniturbo totally kills the disadvantage that Flame Runner should have over bikes like Mach Bike or Bullet Bike

Spear is faster but Flame's drift is better suited for tight situations and has advantadge on like 23/32 tracks over Spear because of tight turns

I've tried it like once on time trial , did it on lap 1 , got greedy and wanted to do it on lap 2 and failed miserably XD

@Dikastis Shok : meh , even FTL hackers become dull after a while , I mean its same ol' same ol' and I reached a level where I race in WWs just for kicks and dont care their 35000 VR giving +200 out of the blue

same green shells on bridge , mega+star on tight roads , blue shell stalking , occasional shock , TC glitch on DH etc...

grows old after a while...

but thats just me.

the only cool thing about hacking is the REAL hacking like modifying the game to get **** like custom tracks and stuff just like Brawl+ ,THAT is the good stuff about hacking

I hate doing time trials that involve a glitch it feels boring trying to get a WR for that lol.

He he. I know exactly what you mean. I just thought you were referring to FTWs. :p

Actually, I talk a lot to the people who have been making those texture tracks.

The most recent tracks being Space Road, Bowser's Castle 2, and Cheep Cheep Island.

What karts or bikes do you use? I always use the standart ones, but I dont know if I should change or stay.
Use the mach bike, bullet bike, or flame runner/bowser bike.

I also use funky kong, but with the standart bike. Are heavy characters better? Because I dont see any difference between toad and bowser at 150cc
If you look here: http://ark42.com/mariokart/Mario Kart Wii.png

You see the hidden stats for every character. Don't take them too seriously, since the speed boosts are only nticable in TT. IMO heavies are better since their overall TS is higher, and their low acceleration is nullified since everyone does the standing MT to restart. Plus, heavies don't go flying 5,000 feet when someone rams them.

I need to start playing this game again, why did I ever stop playing? =/
I know, I stopped too, I guess I like brawl more, and it feels a little more competitive to me.

So the best combination is a heavy character with flame runner?

^ Replace heavy character with Funky Kong and you're correct. However, Funky Kong is just the best character in terms of speed. Other characters such as Toadette and the Magik Cruiser e xcel the most in offroad, while Toad and the Quaker are the best in acceleration, and so on. You'll find that almost everyone uses the Flame Runner, Mach Bike, and Bullet Bike.

http://mkwcomparator.lozi.org/ you can use that to compare multiple characters and different bikes/karts.

Ninja'd
But yeah, Funky Kong is the best overall.
