That's just a Mario match-up thing. A lot of Marios will drop down, cape away, then DJ bair to get back on the stage from the ledge.

Normally, it's a viable option, but if they're waiting for it, its dangerous. Boss used to wait for it, then jab -> ftilt me before my bair came out...

Then grab the ledge....

Heh, I actually asked them to demod me like 2 months ago. Ironically, I said it because I didn't think I'd be online much and I've been online more since XD. Won't last though, so it's best this way. Hope they find a new mod soon though.

You also whooped my *** when I did that.
I noticed how many people (on AiB) DON'T see the B-Air from the ledge coming.

I don't do the cape away -> DJ bair anymore, it's too slow. I just ledgedrop walljump -> up-air or bair

It works if they're not expecting it...but it's really a gimmick, lol. Like you guys said, it's very slow, and Mario doesn't really have the priority or shield pushback to make something like that safe...anyone could just wait and Fsmash you as you try to bair them.

But if you just drop down -> cape away -> double jump Bair -> land back on the ledge, it can be a decent harassment tool...especially if you mix in doing bairs and fireballs.

Can't wifi right this minute. Definitely in the next hour or so, though.

Besides ledgehop fireballing n whatnot, I don't know any fireball stuffs that aren't already obvious, lol. Whenever I'm on the ledge, I just mix between ledgehop fireballing, drop->cape->bair, planking (the way Monk and Kanzaki plank. Uair->upB over and over), and just normal capestalling on the ledge.

I normally don't even wanna be there very long, lol. Just trying to find a way back on in a way that RCO lag won't cause me problems.

Last I heard, he was on a gaming hiatus. That was a month or so ago when I last talked to him though. He was talking about going to Brainshock Beta in Iowa.... But I don't know anything more about his life right now.

I'll try to keep you fellow Mario's updated as I find out more, since I go to college in the same town that he lives in, and will most likely be visiting there this summer quite a bit. I will try to talk to him in the near future.

I see. Thanks for the information steep. I was just curious as to why he hasn't been around lately, for I used to see him here often when I first joined Smashboards.

Megaman is one of the most popular characters in capcom imo.
So he'll be the "All-n-All" best pick character in the next smash.

Yeah, Mega Man will definitely be in it if they can get anything worked out with Capcom.

Yet V. Joe was right behind him on IGN's polls, so I can only hope...



Actually what I really hope is that Capcom and Nintendo work out a deal so that Nintendo makes a new Smash with some Capcom characters and Capcom makes a Nintendo Vs Capcom.



If they only do get 1-2 Capcom characters, I really hope it's not Ryu again...

Unless the style of fighting is somewhat like smash then, that'll be something to be VERY HYPE
about. Hype to the point to make ken start playing smash all over again.

Well, that's the thing. Both sides have talked about wanting to do a game with the other's characters, but you know neither of them would want the type of fighter the other would want, hence why I'm saying it would be pretty cool if they worked out a deal to just make 2 different games with the franchises, one as a Smash title and the other as a Vs title.

Probably won't happen, but it would be cool. I would definitely buy both (Although considering the direction Smash seems to be taking, the Vs one would probably keep me hooked longer.).
