I'm going to say it isn't unless your jabs are connecting. I'm gonna guess you're mashing the attack button as you land so you simply just have to stop that.

I do the same thing...it covers you well as you land.
But if they're really RANDOM, as in, you do it even when the opponent isn't near you out of pure habit, then no, it's not good.
But yeah, it's a good way to protect yourself from someone trying to capitalize off of your landing because of the speed. Try learning to buffer the jab and turn around at the same time to add a little versatility.
Example: retreating bair -> buffered landing jab.

I tend to do an ftilt instead of a jab. I just like it as a poke.

Although double Mario is extremely fun, it tends to fail =/
I've done it offline with Vato, and other random SoCal Mario's, and online with Bo x7 and Kirin. Extremely fun, but doens't work well.

Yeah, ive mained yoshi in every game since the beginning, but as Ive always seconded Mario and Yoshi is most likely moving up to Mid Tier, I need a new LT character and Mario was my obvious first choice as I already use him.

Dont forget Egg Lay and Bair's combo potential! And Yoshi is way good, the only thing holding him back is that damn shield... If he had a normal one he'd be High Tier for sure.

Yoshi has a dangerous arsenal no doubt but Mario has tamed him well through the years I must say. Man's best friend.

Hello Mario mains! I have baked a cake for all of you.
What do you guys think of the Peach/Mario team? Is there any general information that I should know? Any special team shenanigans? I've already consulted with the Peach boards, and I wish to know your opinions as well.

My Link is better than my Tink, sadly. Which doesn't say much because my Link kinda sucks too.
I find it weird to lose, or even play against, a Yoshi because in my mind I'm like "Who even plays this character? AND WHY AM I LOSING TO IT?! WHAT DO I DO?!" Yoshi will always be a weird character for me, mostly because of the lack of an up'b recovery.

Yoshi's stupid to fight, always hating fighting him since Melee.. good thing there's barely any Yoshi's, if any, in SoCal xD
Peach/Mario, in my opinion, isn't really a good team. They lack decent kill moves and relies on good reads. I've teamed up a few times with Jmo Brawler offline, and a few times with Slayerz on wifi... when I went Mario it was a bit of a struggle to get kills at a decent percent. Can't think of any team shenanigans at the moment..
I normally found that my Lucas, Fox, or Luigi were a better option due to better kill moves.

Mario needs someone who can kill. You can FORCE any team to work...this is no different due to the heavy damage they'll deal.
But they won't kill and will get ***** by projectile camping, Marth/MKs, and heavies like Snake.
That, and I think they'd get in each other's way a lot. This is all conjecture though...I've never teamed with Peach in tourney.

Looool, the peach boards said the same thing. Maybe it's just not meant to be. ):
We've got the peach/snake team to back it up anyways, so I guess we'll have to learn through experience. From what we've observed so far, we don't really have problems with getting in the other's space. But killing can be a problem unless my partner grab releases the opponent into my up smash.

Polt is the only good yoshi, I suck too.
Mario grab > peach fair or you will never kill.
I don't see why its so suprising, he's better than Mario afterall. Not to mention has a higher fanbase/amount of mains then Mario, I don't know anyone who really uses Mario, but I know a couple yoshi users in my area.
Burntsocks, but he might be NorCal, not sure. He's inactive ATM and only plays wifi plus uses MK more than anyone else now. He's no top level player though.
And yoshi is weird to fight because he's stupid wierd on a physics level and has amazing speed, an air grab, strange projectile trajectory, and he chains well. He also has a lot of shenanigans and a great recovery plus super armor. Random fact though: Marios up b hits yoshi out of Double Jump armor at any damage.
I've actually tried this team before (as the Mario) and it wasn't very successful.
You absolutely need team combos for kills.
Projectiles aren't too bad from my experience, but MK/Marth is ******** and people never die.
Peach is actually good at staying out of the way, she can just float in the areas you don't use or can do turnip stuff.
