Xero's Mario just took a match of Alpha Zealot in bracket! He also beat a few other notable people, but I'll let him give you the details.

2-stocked AZ game one first round in Bracket, and then had two very close games but he still won both. (I have no idea where to counterpick Diddy, I had already won on battlefield.)

After that I was sent to losers bracket and beat Jerk's ICs on battlefield (I think), and then he counterpicked me to Rainbow with DDD and I still won.

Then I played Smash64, and beat him on the Neutral, he won on his counterpick (especially with hitbox shenanigans) and then I won on my counterpick, which was Luigi's. That was recorded so I'll get vids up later.

Then I lost to Argent because I got hit by a Lucario Fsmash and tried to CP Metaknight (because he decided to switch to Metaknight), my Metaknight sucks so much.

I also played Mew2King, and he told me he thinks that Mario is the 3rd worst character in the game... >_> He's definitely not.

I MMed players like Cr4sh, Hilt, Mr. Eric, and won, I had a really close MM with Tyr but he ended up winning game 3, we were both in kill percents.

I also MMed Overswarm, who figured he would sandbag first game by going Captain Falcon (I warned him not to...). Needless to say he got ***** that game, then I lost to his MK on Rainbow (Forgot to ban it -_-'), then I beat his ROB on Battlefield. We did another MM after that where he went all MK, he beat me first game on some neutral. I CPed Battlefield and won that game, and then he beat me on Frigate pretty badly. (In my defense, I died pretty early because I ended up under the stage as it flipped.)

Was a pretty fun tournament, I also met another Mario main named Juu. That's +1 more Mario mains for the Midwest.

You counter pick Brinstar. Diddy has trouble using nanners there.

I also could've gayed Diddy out with Norfair >_>, since that was legal here.

EDIT: Also, I'm back to all Mario, a majority of my losses were because I went MK.

Heh, GDX's Diddy wrecked me last time I played it... I suck at this game though.

Also, good **** Xero! You definitely stepped it up since last time I saw you!

Also, M2K doesn't know what half of these characters do, so meh. I mean, he knows S tiers and Ike really well, and MK like no other, but yeah, that's about it :p

It depends on the tourny. Our stage lists are getting progressively less janky. Mansion is janky even for our stage lists though...

It depends how well he knows the stage. Bouncing bananas are a pain.

The neutral was Battlefield, where I 2-stocked him and all.

I probably should've went to Lylat or Norfair or... Brinstar.

good stuff xero. who does smash64 use? and did cr4sh yell out shoryukens again? lool.

when ur counterpicking a stage, think of what you did wrong and how you can get around it (i.e bananas or problems with killing) preferably l'd go to halberd, easy upsmash kills.

Crash always yells Shoryuken, he got 2 Shoryuken kills on M2K in doubles. (Then M2K started yelling SHUTTLE LOOP, and stuff like that.)

Smash64 is a Ness/Snake main who beat Famous at Pound 4 (I also believe he's 40 something on that national power ranking list or whatever.)

Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to play Infern. (The guy who beat Boss)

EDIT: Smash64 went all Ness against me because... well I'm not sure why. Probably because I was playing a low tier too.

From Columbus area and AZ's Diddy really didn't know how to handle a good Mario. After all, Ohio generally doesn't have to worry about Mario (I'm the only one who appears in Circuit events and I secondary/main Pit as well). I've played AZ before, but obv Xero is better than I. A lot of people here don't know the match-up and Ohio loves the low and mid-tiers in the mids/mid-highs of our heirarchy.

I was in the same tourney, but I wasn't in the same pool as Xero. Casual'd him and got smashed, but I got some wins. I should have some videos up, I guess. Also played 64 and it was... a trip. Narrowly didn't make it out of pools, but playing people throughout the night, I got some decent wins, I guess. Ice Climbers are kind of a *****.

Props to Xero and Calebyte, who I hung with for most of the night. Xero's impressive and I think Calebyte and I are roughly on the same level, though I believe I beat him in all but one full game played. To you Cale, keep working man, I'm seeing some good stuff from you.

Don't give up in the middle of stocks! I believe you played Sole's Zamus. It's tough for everyone here, too.

[EDIT:] M2K is pretty hilarious, Indiana people, you guys kind of missed out.

M2K thinks Mario is the 3rd worst character...Okay, that officially means I know more than he does.

I want to actually teach him to use Mario. He just doesn't know how amazing that character is.

My knowledge for this game is RIDICULOUS. I know a lot about basically every character in this game, and I can reflect this in my playstyle by being able to competently use almost every character in the game.

Yeah so lol, M2K like anyone else is a flawed player.

Alright, uuh here's a summary of my tournament.

Yea I had fun playing doubles! It was a round robin, so I definately got in a lot of doubles matches.

Singles, uuh.

Played a Fox (Guard) lost 1-2.
Played a DK (Mars1) 0-2, lol yea f-smash ***** Mario's recovery.
Played a Diddy Kong (Nevermind) 2-0'd him, fun games!
Played a ROB (HolyNightmare) he should've won 0-2 but he SD'd on his last stock so I won...but I really didn't, so if you want to consider it 2-1 go for it, but it's 0-2 for me.
Played a Snake (Banc?) lost 1-2.
Played a Bowser (King Kong) lost 0-2, omfg he makes Bowser seem godly O_o, he's so **** with Bowser. Gave me suggestions for the match-up! So hopefully next time we play I do better.

Overall, not pleased with my pool results, but we had a pretty diserve pool, and fun and close (well some lol, I got ***** in others =P.) matches with them all.

Yea, I didn't make it out of pools, so I'm sad :(. But had lots of fun! Also I got a friendlies in with ThatGuy, his Mario is still ****, he should get back into Brawl ;). Played Ally once too lol.

Yea I did, but he's suuuper good at reading players. I had a part where he was infiniting me (wtf?) I found out that mashing X would've helped. And yea, we had a funny part where u-tilt was auto cancelling his up-B so we kept doing that for a bit lol. I think I played a little too aggressively, but I'd love to play him again, fun matches!

Ally he was sandbagging super hard, making silly mistakes. He got a shield break on me lmao. Last stock we both f-air'd, I flew up and died, and he fell down up-b'd to win the match. Quite the way to win.

Hmm...well I learned a lot of things, and I feel a lot better in terms of skill, I think I improved quite a bit, but I'll have to see!

I just wish I had gotten more friendlies in, but everyone was playing singles lol :(.

He went all snake against me in pools....I was already out of 3rd seed running so I treated the rest of my matches as friendlies....

He went all Ness?His Ness is solid...I played his Ness after playing his Snake

Yea, Boss was too distracted by Melee at Pound...
