Not getting hit is superior to DI in most ways but since that'll never happen it necessitates simple DI.

Because of how the game's technical power and punishment has evolved we now need good DI.

Otherwise we get Sheik death comboing Marth on every stock from a single grab and Falcon killing everyone every time he lands a move and Fox perfect drillshining people across the stage and doing U-throw Uair Uair Uair combo like it's a true combo and Falco taking people unconditionally from 0-80.

Do you see where I'm going with this?

Also P i had a look at some of your videos, your play isn't good or interesting I'm sorry. Which just makes it even funnier when you start on Raynex who has awesome tech skill and very precise movements in his play something you can't seem to pull off in your matches.

On topic; those matches were excellent especially the set of Raynex against Euphoria. Definitely given me some ideas on edgeguarding marth

edit: GaynEX TYVM but tbqh DI is common sense. Why can't IC D-throw D-air Fox infinitely? Smash DI. Why isn't drill guaranteed all the time? Smash DI. Why doesn't Fox's CG on himself work past 55%? DI. There's a lot of otherwise inescapable crap that becomes escapable with good DI. That's just common sense.

Pointing out that simple DI strategies are becoming more and more crucial, and that DI is becoming more and more important because of how stupid punishment is becoming (especially now that people are realizing that comboing into tech chases and extending by that crap makes nasty crap), amazing DI is so key to avoiding losses.
