This final chapter of MYM27 sure has been crazy, huh? It started with a group of heroes infiltrating the heart of the Metal Empire, the dystopian Digimon city. After several grueling levels (and a boss fight against Megadramon and Gigadramon), they rescued the treasure seekers previously defeated by Machinedramon, the Dark Master of this encroaching urban hellscape. During the rescue mission, the gleefully murderous Pumpkinmon was befriended by another digital denizen, Maple, culminating in a change of heart for the spooky Digimon.
The forces of evil have also been dealing with this so-called "empire" for their own nefarious purposes. Knull, the Symbiote God, made a personal visit to infect the city and the Digimon within, and Raven Beak, the Mawkin warlord, simply wants to raze it to the ground. All this villainy has drawn the attention of the other heroic and not-so-heroic characters of MYM27, who all have a score to settle for one reason or another. Each group of characters had their own level to complete, and as everyone converged on the central plaza of the now Symbiote-infested city, everything came to a head.
Machinedramon, Knull, and Raven Beak had an epic 3-way battle, ending with a massive explosion that left no traces of the villains. This still left us with Dagded Dujardin, who went full
Power Rangers Super Sentai on everyone, growing to an enormous size for a roster-wide boss fight. I'm telling ya, it was epic. In the end, Dagded met his demise courtesy of Kefka Palazzo, a former Space Jester who tired of allowing his "master" to drain the magik energies of the planet. Kefka had to give up a lot of his own sought-after power to deal the killing blow, but eh, live to destroy another day I suppose.
Before anyone could celebrate, however, it seems things weren't quite over. From the clouds descended Itorash, the Mawkin command ship and home base of Raven Beak. How could he have possibly survived his encounter with the other 2 supervillains? Or had Knull or Machinedramon commandeered the ship for themself?
The group looks at Itorash, apprehension filling the air. How would they infiltrate something all the way up there, even higher than the skyscrapers of the city? That's when Toadette had an idea. Whipping out the item phone from Mario Party, she blabs into it, and a few seconds later, the starshroom of the Toad Brigade arrives! The heroes nod to each other, but they quickly realize an important decision has to be made: Who will actually enter the ship and head to Itorash?
At this point the character select screen appears. You have access to the entire MYM27 roster minus Raven Beak, Machinedramon, Knull, and Dagded Dujardin. After making your choices, a brief scene plays of the ship blasting off towards Itorash while the Toad Brigade cheers you on.
FINAL LEVEL - ITORASH
Get to the Goal!

Music:
Metroid Dread Itorash Theme
Unlike in Metroid Dread, Itorash is a full, proper platforming level. It even has enemies to fight, in the form of Symbiotes and Mawkin Chozo infected by symbiosis. There's no fancy gimmicks to contend with, just tricky platforming while dealing with the strongest non-boss enemies in the game. Eventually, you'll come across an elevator to complete this phase of the level.
-------
In the following cutscene, the heroes ride the elevator, anxious to face the culprit behind this final invasion. They exit the elevator and find themselves in a dark room with a large spherical computer screen in the back wall. As they approach the screen, soft lights activate throughout the room, revealing a computer console in the center. Attached to the console is the Dark Digivice, the device that brought Machinedramon into the conflict. One of your party members goes to examine the device...
The spherical display on the wall activates, displaying a 2D sprite of Machinedramon, as if he were indeed a part of a digital pet app. He fires some pixelated projectiles at the sides of the screen, and when nothing happens, an angry emote appears over his head.
"Do you like my new pet?"
The voice of Raven Beak could he heard throughout the room.
"He's a bit unruly, but I'll have him trained in time. I must confess, I did not expect him and the Symbiote 'God' to be as strong as they were. In the end, we all nearly died in our battle. Knull's essence enfused itself with me to survive, but my will has overpowered his, thus crowning me the new King in Black. As for the 'Dark Master', he retreated to his little toy to escape death, and you have seen his fate."
The walls of the room retract, revealing a massive chamber. It's technically golden, but much of the surface is coated in a thick black layer of Symbiote material. At the far end of this room is the Mawkin throne, and sitting atop it is Raven Beak himself, clad in jet-black armor that is a mix of his own and Knull's. As he rises from the throne, tendrils from his left hand emerge and shape themselves into Knull's weapon, the Necrosword.
"The power of the Mawkin, combined with the infinite abyss...you are nothing compared to us. All that you treasure shall be consumed by us."
Raven Beak descends from the throne and joins the heroes in the main chamber. The camera focuses on a random member of your party, who have their own response to Raven Beak. Some examples:
Maple: This is it! The final boss!
Pumpkinmon: Time to save my new friends!
Fang the Hunter: (Holds his hat and readies his gun) Made a big mistake, ya goober!
Hinyari: (Beats his chest then puts his dukes up)
Akuma: You have cheated death once, now face it at my hands!
Asgore Dreemurr: (Conjuring his trident) You leave me no choice...
Phantom Shadow: You won't get away with this, you meddling bird!
Bad Girl: Well...guess I gotta kill ya.
Regina George: Alien overlord is soooo out this year!
Gilius Thunderhead: (Raises his axe) You shall not triumph, foul creature!
Xavier: I shall show you peace, by force if neccessary.
The camera pulls back to the appropriate distance for a fight. Good luck!
VS SYMBIOTE RAVEN BEAK
HP: 300

Music:
Raven Beak fight
The fight takes place within Raven Beak's throne room, a close aproximation of the same locale where the finale of Metroid Dread took place. It's a walk-off stage with a large floor and several platforms of Symbiote material attached to the walls. Don't think you can camp the sides and toss Raven Beak to bypass his HP; he'll simply Flash-Shift back onto the screen.
As the cutscene shows, Raven Beak now wields the Necrosword in his left hand. This adds extra hitboxes to left-hand attacks, disjointed and 1.2x as strong as his talons. In fact, Raven Beak has access to most of Knull's moveset, including the ability to generate Symbiote material! Little Symbiote minions can spawn from the leftover goop, but Raven Beak has no qualms with taking them out as collateral damage when using his heavy weaponry.
While Raven Beak can activate his lightning armor, dispelling it won't trigger his winged transformation. Instead, at 120 HP, he'll automatically sprout leathery wings like Knull or the Grendel Symbiotes. He'll retain these wings for the remainder of the fight, and worse, he's still able to utilize lightning armor.
-------
As Raven Beak's HP reaches 0, the fight seamlessly transitions to a cutscene where your current character evades and counters Raven Beak's continued attacks, like a counter sequence from Metroid Dread. There's no actual input required to complete this, but there are several variants of the scene that can play out depending on the build of the character in question. Nimble characters will be dodging around beam shots, swordies will be clashing with the Necrosword, big powerhouses will be outright holding their ground against the assault. As this is going on, a blue glow appears throughout the room...
Until electricity surges throughout the room and into Raven Beak! The Mawkin warlord cries out in pain and falls to the ground, and the voice of Machinedramon can be heard:
"You are foolish, simple Chozo. Keeping me, the master of Digimon, in your computer systems? Surely you knew it was only a matter of time before I could take control of your ship. Now to destroy this vessel, and you along with it."
The continued surges of raw digital power shatter the windows of the room and vaporize the Symbiote goop all around, revealing the throne room's original golden hues. Nobody can appreciate the Mawkin architecture, however, as a computerized voice plays a warning:
"Alert! Alert! Itorash structural integrity has been compromised! Ship will no longer be able to maintain altitude! Evacuate immediately!"
Your party turns around, finding a wall that's been broken open from Machinedramon's attack, and runs through it like their life depends on it. Because it does.
Escape!
Time: 3 minutes
Music:
Metroid Prime: Frigate Orpheon Escape
It wouldn't be a Metroid-themed finale without one of these, would it? The sequence picks up with your character who defeated Raven Beak, with your other party members restored if needed. The level is mostly like the first platforming section in reverse, but collapsing pieces of the ship will create new obstacles to navigate. Occasionally, the screen starts to take on a blue tint, and you need to shield a screen-wide electric surge from Machinedramon. The entire time, Symbiote/Mawkin enemies will try to take you down with Itorash, but they will be insta-killed by the Dark Master's attacks.
-------
The party makes it back to the Toad Brigade's ship, and not a moment too soon. One of the heroes narrowly dodges a flaming piece of electronic paneling as they enter the ship and pull the hatch shut. The ship lifts up and speedily flies out of an open hole in a wall. The scene cuts to a zoomed-out view of Itorash, the heroes flying past the camera to safety, before the Mawkin warship is overwhelmed with energy surges and breaks apart as it falls to the surface. As it crashes to the ground, we can see the other characters running for cover before the scene cuts to black.
As the scene fades back in, the scrap and remains of Itorash lay scattered across a crater in the Symbiote-controlled city. The group who infiltrated the command ship have safely made it back to the surface. As they depart the ship, some of them have brief interactions with other characters, while others cautiously approach the crash site.
Raven Beak is struggling to get to his feet, his wings shredded, his armor broken, the Symbiotic essence of Knull the only thing keeping his body from breaking too. Out of the corner of his eye, he sees the Dark Digivice. Machinedramon can be heard speaking from the device:
"You are nearly done, Chozo. I am your only salvation. Share your power with me, and we shall crush these bugs beneath our grasp."
Before the heroes can even process what's happening, Raven Beak reaches towards the Dark Digivice, conjuring Symbiote tentacles from his wrist to grasp the cursed "treasure". He swiftly reels it in and absorbs it into his chest, breathing heavily. After a few seconds, his eyes begin to glow before digitized energy and Symbiote material completely envelops him.
The mass quickly grows in size, drawing the attention of all the heroes, as tendrils lash out in all directions, absorbing more pieces of Itorash into itself. The mass takes shape, forming a hulking draconic body, two massive wings, and an avian head. The very spirit of Machinedramon manifests itself atop the shoulders and backside of the core body, and the remains of Itorash are reformed into two large cannons sitting atop that.
The heroes look on in terror. The abomination opens its mouth and speaks, the voices of Raven Beak and Machinedramon overlayed:
"POWER...IS...EVERYTHING"
FINAL BOSS
RAVENULLENIUMON
HP: 450
Character Choice: The entire MYM27 roster minus Raven Beak, Machinedramon, Knull, and Dagded Dujardin
Stock: 8
Music:
Metroid Prime 3: Aurora Unit 313
Ravenulleniumon is around the same size as Rathalos, and will fly around to reposition between attacks. The stage itself is the central plaza of the city, much like where the fight against Dagded Dujardin took place, but with the burning remains of Itorash strewn about in the background alongside building crumbling apart from the impact. It is a long walk-off by default, but Symbiote platforms will periodically form in random locations.
(Passive) Symbiosis Shrapnel
As Ravenulleniumon takes damage, chunks of Symbiote goop are sloughed off its body, popped up a little before falling to the floor and lingering for 8 seconds. Characters move a bit slower through the affected area, and remaining in it for over a second has tendrils emerge from the floor and wrap around your character, dealing 3% a second and severely restricting jump height. The floor will very quickly be covered in the stuff if you attack non-stop, but low attacks can sweep it away. It's also possible to intercept and destroy the Symbiote material before it reaches the ground, but the Abyssal God isn't going to just stand there and let you do it.
Devour
Quite simply, Ravenulleniumon rears back before lurching at you with a bite. Deals 14% and moderate knockback, with its threat coming from the relative speed at which it is performed. Try not to be too committal with your attacks up close, so you can dodge or shield at a moment's notice.
Rampage
The Abyssal God growls before charging forwards, thick streaks of air flowing around it. This deals 18% and moderate knockback. The boss always charges across the stage, and it deals strong shield damage. Evading the attack depends on its elevation, as the boss can either rush along the floor or perform it in midair. From the floor, make your way to the highest platform available, or rely on timing your own vertical movement options to clear the eldritch dragon coming your way. A midair charge is usually easier to deal with, as it's entirely possible for most characters to simply crouch on the floor as the boss passes by overhead.
Necrotongue
Ravenulleniomon opens it mouth, Symbiote goop dripping from its maw, before flicking its tongue out at you. This may seem like a strange way for this horror to attack physically, but fused to the tip of its tongue is the Necrosword! Like a chameleon, the tongue strikes lightning-fast and has long range, twice that of Simon's FSmash, and it can be angled broadly. If hit, your character is impaled (taking 20%) on the Necrosword before being flung towards the boss as its tongue retracts. This will often result in the Abyssal God
attempting its Devour attack, with strict timing to airdodge to safety. To deal with the attack, it's often best to shield against it, but should you keep out of harm's way, it's possible to strike the tongue and damage the boss.
Reach of the Dark Master
The digitized arms of Machinedramon pull back before delivering a clap to its front. This has obviously telegraphed startup, but if you are hit, be prepared to take 14% and decent knockback. The attack also causes a cloud of code-like smoke to slowly expand from where its hands met. Over 6 seconds, it grows to the size of a Mushroomed Bowser and passively deals 10% each second you remain inside it. Trying to reflect the code will simply negate the portion making contact with you, don't think you can actually reflect a lingering 60% hazard onto the boss, but this can still be useful to get some breathing room.
Giga Cannon
It wouldn't be a Machinedramon fusion without this attack! The large cannons on the back of the boss passively charge up over time, an ever-intensifying glow in their barrels signifying their progress. Once charged, they are fired with a booming "Giga Cannon!", releasing a large projectile that deals 25% and strong knockback. Making this extra scary is the boss's tendency to use this as an immediate follow-up to another of its attacks, making it vital you take its charge level into account when evading an attack. You don't want to use a laggy movement technique and be left helpless when the cannons are fired!
Symbiote Empire
Ravenulleniumon screeches and says "Help your master!" before several enemies join the fight. They can be any combination of Mawkin, Symbiotes, or Metal Empire Digimon. To make matters worse, those Mawkin and Digimon will themselves be Symbiote versions, enhancing their stats. The good news is that defeating an enemy will cause them to detonate in an inky black explosion, dealing collateral damage to the other enemies and the boss itself. Try to defeat the underlings ASAP, focusing on the ones with the lowest HP so their death blasts soften up the others.
Hyper Beam
The raven head of Ravenulleniumon starts to take on a reddish tint as its mouth opens, gathering energy before unleashing a thick red beam of raw power! This deals 30% and strong horizontal knockback, and pierces reflectors. The blast travels across the entire screen and has a broad range that the Abyssal God can angle it, naturally the boss loves to use this from afar. It also lasts for about half a second, making it tricky to dodge through. Vertical movement is key to safely evading the attack; Depending on the character you'll either want to bait it low then jump just before its fired, or jump immediately then fast-fall.
Time Unlimited
Ravenulleniumon calls out the attack's name and a sphere of dark energy envelops your character. This is unavoidable, and 20 seconds later, the sphere collapses, instantly KOing you! Hmmm, seems kinda broken, even for a final boss. Luckily, once the current character is trapped, another enters the stage, with their own fresh damage counter. To free your trapped character, you must deal 50 damage to the boss before time runs out. This isn't terribly difficult on its own, but the abomination will still be attacking you during this time. On your final stock, a random character you hadn't selected will arrive, and they inherit the damage of the trapped character.
Lightning Armor
Whenever the Abyssal God loses 150 HP, it immediately darts to the background and roars as a shimmering coat of gold/blue energy envelops it. This absorbs up to 100 damage, indicated through a second blue health bar, during which time Symbiote Shrapnel will not trigger. While this effectively grants the boss an extra 100 HP, like Raven Beak's MYM special this will cause sparkly counter-windows to appear during its other attacks. For example, a counter-window will form inside its mouth just before unleashing Hyper Beam. Striking these points will stagger Ravenulleniumon for a precious few seconds, giving you time to go for your strongest attacks or apply buffs.
Abyssal Shock
Only used while Lightning Armor is active. One of Machinedramon's arms will press against the ground, creating an electric barrier twice the height of Ganondorf. This deals 10% with a paralyzer effect, and lasts until the boss completes its next attack. The wall of lightning is easy to dodge through on its own, but when combined with other attacks, things can quickly feel stifling. Try to put as much space between yourself and the lightning as possible, to keep your defensive options open for dealing with the boss' followup.
Abyssal Justice
This too is only a threat during Lightning Armor phases. The Digimon's arms raise to the sky and release a surge of electricity up and off the top of the screen. Moments later, sparks begin to gather on several points on the stage, and after several seconds they are all spontaneously struck by bolts of lightning. These deal 25% and decent vertical knockback, and will pass through platforms if a lower level was marked for the attack. While these aren't specifically timed to strike in conjunction with other attacks, Ravenulleniumon is fully capable of moving and attacking in the meantime. This layered offense is the most challenging aspect of the boss; In theory it can summon one of its lightning attacks to combine with a quick Devour, then follow that with a charged Giga Cannon, while its Symbiote minions patrol a teammate who's been captured by Time Unlimited. But this IS the final boss, in the words of one of this thread's own movesets, "What you expect?"
Annihilation
This is automatically used once when Ravenulleniumon is down to 50 HP. It flies to the background, yelling "Accept your helplessness!" before conjuring a large black sphere, like the dark projectile in Raven Beak's own Side Special. This black hole is in the center of the screen, and like any Kirby Final Boss Black Hole, will start to pull you in from anywhere on the screen. Use all your movement abilities to resist for 5 seconds, but the attack isn't finished yet. After those 5 seconds are over, the black hole collapses before triggering a fiery supernova! An intense shockwave of plasma radiates outwards across the screen, instantly breaking shields and dealing 40% with high knockback should you fail to dodge it. Part of the attack's danger comes from the fact that you're running towards the edge of the screen to escape the black hole, making it so you're almost guarenteed to be taken out if you're struck by the nova.
-------
ENDING
Ravenulleniumon collapses to the floor, its body unstable and ever-shifting as it tries to repair itself. This is the moment the heroes have been waiting for! Everyone with a fiery attack combines their efforts at once. We've got both Knuckles rushing in for their uppercuts, Bowser and Pumpkinmon using fire breath, Magua has his gattling guns revved up, you get the idea. All these flaming abilities are unleashed in unison, setting Ravenulleniumon ablaze as its screams of pain rattle around the city.
The abomination melts away, with only the digitized spirit of Machinedramon reamaining. Without even his giga cannons available, the Dark Master lunges at the heroes, trying to take them down with him. Centered on his sights is Indiana Jones. Dr. Jones stares down the Dark Master, calmly pulls out his revolver, and cleanly shoots Machinedramon through the length of his mass. The Dark Master barely seems to react, but as he closes in on the heroes, he silently dissolves away.
A small plastic clanging is heard. Looking at the location of Machinedramon's demise, Indy sees the Dark Digivice, its screen cracked, but otherwise seemingly functional. On the LCD screen is a monochrome Digitama, otherwise known as an egg. Dr. Jones picks up the Dark Digivice, and after looking it over, finds a hatch in the back. He carefully opens it and removes the Digital Scale, the strange computer chip that his latest adventure has revolved around. Despite the chip being removed, the Dark Digivice still appears to be functional, with the Digitama hopping around like something is stirring inside.
Turning to the rest of the heroes and anti-heroes gathered around, he has just one thing to say:
"Anyone looking for a new pet?"
Two Years Later
The planet is healing from the cosmic crossfire. The former center of the Metal Empire is now free of both Symbiotes and corrupt Digimon. In fact, it's starting to look like a futuristic utopia, with a refurbished museum of electronics. Much of the playable cast is present for the museum's opening day. Regina George is taking selfies with The Plastics in front of an exhibit of the original cellphone (can you believe it only had 1 app?). The President is admiring a Nintendo Gamecube showcasing a demo of Pikmin 2, an interactive documentary of his adventures on the planet PNF-04. In the cafeteria, Gilius is munching on a grilled chicken sandwich, sharing half of it with Miraidon. There is a scale model of the Toad Brigade's starshroom, with Toadette being made an honorary member for her quick thinking at the appearance of Itorash. Byleth is examining a soft-serve ice cream machine, and we can hear a faint giggle coming from Sothis' spirit within.
In one room, sitting atop a pedestal, is the Digital Scale, the centerpiece of an exhibit on the various technologies involved in the Great Planetary Defense. Proffessor Layton and Indiana Jones are checking it out.
"To think our expedition would become central to a planetary war." Remarked the Proffessor.
Dr. Jones let out a wry smirk. "As much as I appreciate the advancement of technology, I think I'll stick with the tools of the past. Sometimes you get a haunted biblical artifact, but at least they don't release giant bloodthirsty robots."
Layton chuckled at the comment. "What DID happen to that 'Dark Digivice' anyway?"
The scene cuts to the digital realm of NWO, where Maple is locked in combat with a large monster. This creature is a test of a new type of data protocol being used in the game, and it's affecting the game's mechanics in strange ways, including a glitch that is turning Maple's poison attacks against her. Fortunately, she has a plan to fight fire with fire. Maple braces behind her shield as the creature looms over her...
"Pumpkinmon! Chaosdramon! It's time!"
From behind a rock leaps Pumpkinmon at the beast, dual-wielding his knife and axe, carving a hole in the monster's body thanks to his innate virus properties. Shortly after, Chaosdramon, the upgraded form of Machinedramon, appears. He takes aim at the hole in the monster, and yells "Destroyed Hook!", before firing his right claw at the beast. The claw opens to reveal a drill, and as it punctures the enemy we can see the monster turn purple as virus-type poison is injected straight into it. It falls to its knees as Maple is joined by her Digimon companions.
"Machine God! Full Armaments!"
"Trick or Treat!"
"Infinity Cannon!"
The beast's defenses negated, it is blown away by the combined assault of beams and exploding pumpkins, reduced to smoldering ash. The group catches their breath before jumping for joy.
"Great job everyone! Our bonds of friendship will allow us to overcome any obstacle!"
"Destroying monsters with the Light Master is so much fun!"
"Soon a new Metal Empire will be formed, one which welcomes all in the name of comradery!"
