Bored so I thought I would make this :)

Make and discuss tier lists of anything (that is not intended to insult anyone on the boards =P)

Yeah ive always thought MGS2 was the best.
I love playing through tanker, i do it like once a month lol.
MGS4 meh... havent played it but it seems like it ruined the story, ruined Liquid at least.
MGS3 is pretty amazing however i doesnt feel as natural to me... great reasoning i know.

Also MGS3 and MGS2 were incredibly hard to decide on, then with the nostalgia of the original... take it with a grain of salt Sieg =P

Mgs2 set the metal gear story up for something incredible, and Mgs3
wasn't ba either, but mgs4 took the story from mgs2 and used the characters from mgs3 to turn the story to a pile of crap.

Metroid teir list, I dunno why people don't rate metroid 2. It's Better than prime 2, prime 2 should be at the bottom of the list. **** isn't even metroid.

Really Rob Metroid II.... soooooo repetitive.
I suppose it did introduce heaps of key upgrades and stuff to the metroid series but like pew pewing some metroids then going down a level and doing the same thing... i just got sick of it.
Samus was huuuge and the gameboy was a bad engine for it i think, i would love to see a remake though.
Actually it is the game that setup Super Metroid so for that its pretty great. Story was quite cool, love that baby metroid

Personally, and note MGS2 was the first MGS game I played.

Character development felt pushed. Not saying I didn't enjoy the game-play, loved every moment, but I think snake is a better protagonist opposed to raiden.

Just my opinion fellows. If I were to base my list off game-play it would be different again. It was overall and I just liked the others better.

I can't see how anyone could really argue Raiden being a better protagonist -_-, don't get my wrong I actually really like him as a character but comparing him to Snake and Boss is just cruel :laugh:

The story of MGS2 is what puts it at the top for me, but as i've said the distance between the top 3 games is small due to them all being amazing

The only thing I really enjoyed like AMAZINGLY about MGS2 was the Tanker.

And the relationship between Raiden and Solidus. I felt that was probably the best character developmental part of the game. Fatman and Stillman were good aswell because they were the only ones that really felt human to me. Got that same feeling from Solidus. Vamp and Fortune were just like, there.

Kinda like in MGS3 with Volgin. He was a good character, but he wasn't as good as The Boss or Ocelot.

Storyline wise...

Hmmmm.

I'd say MGS1 had the best storyline. Followed by 3 and then 2. MGS1 is basically the game that made Snake. I felt the storyline was perfect in the first one. It really can't be beaten. Having said that, I only personally enjoy 3 over 2, they're both good games with their respective stories.

Also MGS1 was alot harder obviously due to no tranq, no first person shooting view. Not being able to go into a room and tranq everyone in there before walking in added to the element of what the game was supposed to be like. Stealth. Used to scare the **** out of me hiding from enemies or trying to go up to them to grab them lol.

The entire metal gear solid plot was developed in mgs2, and you couldn't have created the patriots without raiden as a character. I don't know about you guys but when I got to that part of the story, it was so strong that I felt like I was being watched by the patriots aswell. lol.

The Patriots were in 1, lol.

But I will agree that the Patriots came more strongly into the scene in 2. Well developed. You were like "Okay, I know these Patriots are there, but WHO ARE THEY!?"

I might go play MGS2 again now lol.

I just think the story of the patiots could have been something epic, but mgs 4 really let that bit down. I mean cmon, the patriots were all the guys from 3?? Even that Asian chick!? Stupid, in two they seemed like cold heartless power hungry men who nobody knew, and after four you just think of the chars you loved from three. It wrecks the image of the patriots.
