What about moves other than the balster? It does not seem there is enough things from the original game to make a full character moveset, so do you think some things will have to be made up or borrowed from other games(Kinda like Duck Hint)?

Probably anything that relates to Mad Max like Chain whips.

Something along the lines of this:

A lot of bike moves and then some extra moves based on Kamen Rider. Basically the coolest fighter ever. ;)

I wonder if Sakurai has seen a Mad Max movie. Maybe he has, as he is a friend of Kojima, and Fury Road is one of Kojimas favorite movies.

Sorry I didn't know what you experienced, but it's no reason to be mean to people who obviously meant no harm.
It's no big deal. Someone made an innocent suggestion, I didn't like it, and some took my response as hostile. Happens all the time. Now back to Mach Rider:

While I'm hoping Mach Rider has some Kamen Rider moves, I hope he/she isn't completely off bike like Falcon is with his racer. The bike could even function like the Batmobile where it kinda has a mind of its own and behaves a bit like Luma or the second Ice Climber. But if Mach Rider is a Captain Falcon clone, I'll deal with it.

I like the Batmobile idea. I really see, if they're in the game, a bike-heavy moveset. Jumping off the bike or dismounting would be a lot less common than just grinding the front wheel into peoples' faces.

I doubt that they would go with Mach Rider being a Captain Falcon clone considering Ganondorf is still kinda that. I do think the Batmobile idea could work and would be kinda needed, as some in game mechanics would be hard to make sense of if they were always on a bike.

If Mach gets in and is a girl; I'm totally shipping her with Samus. The Ultimate power couple.
Although Snake would likely want some of that too.

That would help, given the stylistic influences FOTNS: Lost Paradise had from Fury Road in some of its new story content, which shows how much the Japanese enjoyed the latest film in the Mad Max series.

You know, what on earth is even gonna be Mach Rider's final smash? The only thing I can think of is them busting out the original Mach Rider car(The toy one) as a fun reference, but even then I would not know the exact method of attack besides something similar to the Blue Falcon final smash.

Obviously; Mach Rider launches a Giant Car at them. /s

Launching the fighters into the original game, and they proceed to be run over by Mach and the Quadrunners.

I wonder how many retro reps will be left after Mach Rider. I know of Takumaru, but I am not as familiar with the rest. From my perspective, it seems the retro well is getting closer and closer to drying up. Of course, it will be a good while before it does, as Smash limits it's retro reps to a maximum of 2 reps per game.

Lip, Ayumi and a Hanafunda Rep are definitely still some that I'd like to see. There's also Muddy Mole and Prince Sable, who are possibilities.

Ayumi Tachibana, Stanley the Bugman, Donkey Kong Jr., Balloon Fighter, Starman/the NES Pro Wrestlers, and Foreman Spike immediately come to mind for me. I'm personally huge on the Ayumi train - she's my most-wanted retro rep since I love the Famicom Detective Club game I've played. Mach Rider is actually my second most-wanted, tied with Starman.

Well, there was definitely more than I was expecting, but aren't retro reps of new, unrepresented franchises and not franchises that are already represented?

Isn't necessarily the case as Pit was shown as a trophy in Melee then as a character in Brawl.

I mean the likes of Stanley the Bugman, Donkey Kong Jr and Starman(Assuming the Mother Starman), characters that are already apart of current franchises. Having a previous trophy is fine.

Daisy is considered retro since she started out on the original Game Boy and she is in Smash, correct?

Not really. I feel like a retro character not only has to be a character who originated from a very old game, but is known for that and does not have much outside of that. Daisy may be older, but she still shows up to play sports and parties. And like D-Man9293 D-Man9293 said, if she was retro, than characters like Mario would be retro.

So a character is only retro if they originated from a retro game and have no current games in the modern gaming age. Is what I am hearing you claim, correct?

Starman is actually the Starman from Pro Wrestling.

Yes. The likes of Ice Climbers, Mr. Game & Watch, Pit(At the time of Brawl), R.O.B., and Duck Hunt were all character that at the time of there addition to Smash had no recent games as well practically no foreseeable future. As tragic as it is in a way, it's the charm of a retro character, to give these old properties a secound chance to shine, and as Pit showcased, a possible road to revival.
Starman is actually the Starman from Pro Wrestling.
My mistake, sorry.

Also, Mr. Stevenson and Bubbles.

My boys! I'd love them to be the retro reps, with Starman as the main one and the rest as Koopaling-esque alts!
Seconded. If anything, I can see the rest partake in a FS, Abobo's Big Adventure-style.

I want Urban Champion. I can verify that nobody else does.
Nope. I'd like the Champ myself.

It just strikes me as a no brainer that for Nintendo's Ultimate Fight Game series they should bring back their first fighting game character.

I can't read this and neither can anyone else here.
Apparantly its something along the lines if "I will finish this" or something. I just recall what I heard it translated too being rather dramatic.

Oh Mach Rider will be dupe love to see her in Smash Ultimate lets have that Captain Falcon vs Mach rider dream battle we could make it happen. If I cant have Lip hope Mach Rider will be the new chosen retro rep. I do support Mach Rider.
Finally, Mach Rider VS Captain Falcon? Great idea! I suppose his moveset could be a bit like Wario's bike. Show me your moves, Mach Rider!

I wonder if Mach Rider’s Up Special will be based on exploding apart and coming back together.

Something like Cyrax’s teleporting move.

I do! But only if Urban Champion has moves from Clu Clu Land, Excitebike, and Balloon Fight. My idea is a retro character based on the four pre-Melee rejected NES characters joining forces as “NES Remix”.

Only issue with that is Bubbles is one of Nintendo's very first female protags, so she could use some service.

Pretty neat idea for Mach though.

I feel like one of Mach Rider’s specials could be them launching out an Excitebiker, like Duck Hunt and their gunmen down special
