thnks lucky... got the stutter step to work now. not incredibly useful... but no downsides to doing it either.

nice match lucky, seems like your Sonic got faster attacking wise. Overall seems like you improved greatly which is awesome because you were freakin good already. But very enjoyable match to watch since it wasn't cut off at the end lol

No offense to DC, I know he could be beastly with the right character. But Wario is not one of these characters. That Wario play was absolutely horrendous DC, that match is suppose to lean on Wario's favor HEAVILY.

i dont think wario is too bad. annoying that you cant spin dash into the bite, but still there are ways around it, and you can still get some spin dashes in at the right time.

Well I kept wondering why DC didn't use his WarioWaft a lot of times. At the very least he could have damaged your shield and still had time to use it like he did at the end of the match.

I leaned towards trying sonic but my past was bowser in melee (not a good past but one none the less) so his speed made him a bit uncontrollable for me. I'm sure if i give him a few weeks I'd get used to him. He looks fun.

And the big question there is would you drop Smash in general or do you think Melee will continue competitively (IE: continue to have tourneys held) or just play casually?

Melee will continue to have a competitive scene, much like SFII still does, to this day. Even if the top tiers own everyone else, the game is too complex and fun to simply ignore.

corrected.

Melee's old, its a pain to find controllers, and my L and R are gonna break if I keep playing Melee LOL.

Since I found some AWESOME sonic combo lately I won't drop brawl. footstoolin is soo cool haha

Well, I'm finally back home for Easter and I got a chance to play against my friends which was really fun, I didn't get a chance to record any matches because i forgot my SD card :<

i won a couple of matches against some of the slower heavier characters (Snake/DeDeDe). But against Pit and Lucario i couldn't win D: any general tips on how to get around these 2?

Lucky I know what you're feeling about dropping Brawl and maybe going back to that shufflin, crazy gravity world of Melee because I've been the same way. However Im reminding myself that this is a mixture of two things.

1. Brawls metagame isn't.....heck, Brawl doesn't even have a metagame yet.
2. Nostalgia for the old ways where I truly know the ins and outs of the game.

Chin up Lucky, things'll get better.

Gatherings may make it less boring. Trying other characters just to break up the monotony. I haven't got bored but definitely need to work at the game. I'm sure Meta game will come out as the game gets more players and more play styles

I wasn't aware game and watch was that strong. What the heck was up with his throw, is there anyway to get around it beyond avoiding his throw attempts?

lmfao@sticky worthy?!? Too good.

Decent matches. The one against Lucas was ****, but he didn't seem to know what he was doing. Get some matches against Psychomidget's Snake, I wanna see what that match-up looks like, since all the Snake players in CO kinda suck. Imma get up some more matches vs Mike's Lucas/Sonic, Timotee's Ness, and YanG's Marf, so youse guise can see that shiz.

Also, Ganon is wicked fun to play. I think I might end up maining low tier characters at this point. XD

is there a way to control the way you move under a stage? Like I want to go straight across the bottom of a stage to the other side.

if there is a character above you you will go back and forth

if there is not you go straight forward.......if you want to go back you have to tap the control stick backwards before pushing B.only if there is not a character above you

i think ddd is one of sonic's easier victims. grabbing works, definately stay away from his Dsmash

make sure u atleast sheild his Fsmash

for killing i suggest B air and Fsmash

if you running dash attack into him and then yank back on the cstick, thats the easiest way to nail him with fsmash

spin dash triple hit attacks, ddd has no option except to sheild them, u can even dash thru him once and then hit him with the triple hit on the turn around for trickery

Dairs are usualy fast enuff to catch him off gaurd, and also homing attacks for when he thinks he has u. especially if he is trying to bair u, because the homing attack usually archs up and hits em on the noggin.

main thing u wanna watch out for, just clear out of the way ddd uses up B or F smash

and dont give him time to do his Dsmash, or sheidl it, or dont be near it.

sonics u air is good for killing when used in conjunction with up-b timing is required also, because if u slightly miss time, ddd can dair you.

whenever u catach DD rolling, u can whip out a dsmash and get him as long as u start executing the move when he is in the middle of rolling.

I haven't had too much experience against Dededes, friend Dopey used to main him but he switched to Wario before I got any real matches in. Don't let him get a ton of distance on you or he'll just lob waddledees into your face until you charge right into his chain throwing in angerz.

His b-air is fast but it's just a little penguin toe, so you can abuse your b-air against him if your spacing is good enough. Also he's huge, so n-air works wonders. As far as kill moves against him go it's the same story as you'll hear for most of sonic's matchups, you just gotta be tricky.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help, GL.
