thanks, im trying to perfect that right now. its a real ***** though, i keep missing. i also love doing spin dash to neutral air even though its so hard to pull off.
If you charge the spin less, it will produce less knockback and make it combo able, you can do it with down b too but forward b is easier not to charge.

at lower percent, the direction the enemy will be sent is influenced by his DI as well as the timing you had for jumping the spin dash (talking about the spin dash 2 hit combo)

the forward b's very first bound might be best to link a back air at high percentage.

Hey Lucky, is it just me or is comboing out of side-b in general a lot easier? I started using down-b less because I keep getting the sense that when I hit people it knocks them off at weird angles or sends them further from me. Plus, the brief invulnerability with side-b is pretty useful in a lot of situations.

dont like wifi? get the wii lan adapter, instead of usin wireless u use usb to cat5 cable that goes directly into u'r router. The speed is ALOT better. My friend has it, says he doesnt lag as bad as wireless does.

Well Sonic runs too fast to just run off, hold back, and grab the ledge. I believe, as Lucky says it, you do a "Hadouken" (which is a quarter-circle on the joystick toward the ledge) as you run off the ledge. I believe the science behind it is that you fast fall immediately upon running off the edge so you don't get the crazy horizontal distance before you're in sweet spot range.

you have to do it quickly, if you don't fast fall fast enough you'll get too far and if you don't hold back fast enough you'll fast fall down under the edge. you can do a quarter circle, as long as you slam that fast fall in time. you must do the half/quarter circle quite fast.

Haha oh wow @ the Lucas pwnage. I mean that super kick below the stage was the best pwn I have EVER seen from Sonic.

And though I've done all those techniques, much thanks for the technique vid.

Nice technique vid Lucky, I've been wanting to see Sonic's shutter step in action. But I have a question. Today I played brawl with some friends and my green sneakers Sonic was kicking faces off lol. My friend was hanging from the edge so I ran to the edge, while still on the stage, and waited for him to attack. He did his attack coming from the ledge and I countered it with an up tilt. It connected and i wasn't hit by his attack but he was hit with mine. So basically what I want to know is does an up tilt always serve as a good counter when an opponent attacks after hanging on the ledge or is it certain characters only? many thanks and sorry if i worded this badly.

If their invincibility wears off (the flashing) then a lot of characters' ledge recovery attacks can be easily attacked through. But a lot of people will usually use that invincibility by quickly getting over the edge so most of the time tilting them won't work. However, if you decide to shield grab that will always work provided they used an attack and didn't jump or roll.

i need to look up all that gear for recording, i kinda want to start making videos myself...but i don't really have anyone to play against aside from lvl9 cpu's D: which are suprisingly smarter than in melee .___.;;

Yeah I can see that you'd have problems with him... I counter a lot more so Game and Watch's lag is something that I abuse to it's full extent.

I hate edge guarding him though, if he can get low under the level you'll never gimp him and he's not susceptible to the f-smash edge guard.

The credits for the tech vid are madd good. Glad I've been keeping all the good Sonic stuff quiet, and just gave out stupid fsmash from >b, which, btw, can be cancelled into dsmash and usmash, or tilts, or anything you want. No small wonder pros tend to keep their stuff quiet for tournaments.

I mean increasing the dsmash's range to more than a double-stutter fsmash's range, as well as ways to **** shields, gimp most of the cast, and a few glitches/tricks that will step his game up for sure. I'll be sharing random stuff from time to time, don't get me wrong, just kinda irked right now about some random things.

Twinkle, you're free to own me in Sonic dittos. Or try to, anyway. I'm not terribly good at them as of yet, but I'm working on it. Still, you need to at least be decent to best me, seeing as I now have a 30+ undefeated streak with my Sonic on WiFi. Woooo for not playing CO with him on WiFi until I lose, since it seems like it's not going to happen anytime soon unless I play one of them.

Then again, I have been getting ridiculously nervous these past few rounds. Each win is just that much more pressure. D:

i watched some of your vids yesterday, and needless to say i was impressed. I even learned some new tricks from that tutorial.

but you and I really play a lot differently. I'm interested to know how we would do against eachother. Care for a match online sometime lucky?

this doesent have to be a competetive dousche bag thing, I just really want to know if im going about sonic the right way, and if not i need to correct myself. So for the sake of learning lets say.

ya... i suggest jumping a spin dash to the other side of him when he does that. or possibly a homing attack.. maybe an ariel... there are many options really.

OR! you could always just time it to hit when his bite ends. any thing is counterable.. just think about it.
