With the new ruleset, just wanted to point out that Luigi's Mansion is an AWESOME counter pick for us (imo). We have a lot of speed and mobility with which to (lame as it may sound) run and keep a distance from the opponent with. Falcon's Utilt is awesome there too, in fact, a lot of falcon's moves become more effective here.

Once the Mansion gets destroyed, we have like 20 seconds to run around and avoid being camped/chain grabbed/ etc...then it's back to what you you were doing before.

I also really like Port Town Aero Drive as a CP. Thing is, falcon can get gimped SUPER hard there, but with smart play you can do the same to others, and if you get to know the stage well (I do, long story rofl), you can really use it against other people effectively. Applying offstage pressure at the right times gets you some really early % kills, and the cars can also nab you some really useful early (but lame) KO's as well. If you're at 20%-40% and they're at 60% or more, when the cars come, grab them and wait for the cars to hit. You'll live, they won't. it doesn't hurt that falcon lives forever with good DI.

I still need to test out green greens, but I remember i LOVED counter picking that stage with Peach when I mained her waaaaay back when.

The new stages are BS >_>

I've been needing to update this thread for a while though, I'll try to get that done soon along with the 1000 other things on my to-do list.

Manly thread Lord.
This could easily help all of the beginning Falcon Mainers to improve as a fellow Falcon Main.

Wait, The Falcon-Mario MU is 50-50?
Please explain, I don't see how it can be 50-50.

It's 45:55;

-Falcon keeps Wario limited with his aerials.
-Falcon keeps Wario limited with his ability to guarantee a grab.
-Like most characters against Wario, good grab release options.

He forces Wario to play differently, that's about it.

Mario is hard for Falcon in my opinion, a Good Mario can make Falcon get mad
I'm honestly not too sure about Mario.

He doesn't get jab ***** like most of low tier. However he gets uair / utilt / bair walled pretty hard.

As long as you DI you're not going to get caped much, sure it'll happen but to a minimal amount.

I'll change it back to 45-55 now that I think about it.

Your overrating of falcon has to stop.

^Lol'd

Also, I'm with Lionman on this one. Just had a match against a Mario last night. S*** was hard, but I still won because of a lucky stage spike due to a Falcon Dive.

... it was Wi-fi, though. Things would have probably be a lot different if it was offline. A lot.

it's around 70-30 if you're good. Mario ****ing owns everything we have.

So, got someone to test today,
The GR > pivot grab is confirmed on Wario.
The timing is tight but Wario can't escape it, even with his 2nd jump.

Yes the damage is done by pummel so it's not interesting at low percent. But at 80-90 it can get you the extra % you need for knee to kill. Plus it looks **** pro.

When the opponent is at high percentages, you can pummel him for like one hour and he still won't break free.

Nope.
Real people can get out of grab in less than 3 seconds at 120%. Just look at lvl 9 cpus.
