It's a local LAN party/tourney here in Mt. Pleasant. One of the console games is SSBB. although it's no where near tourney rules. If I remember right it's 10 minute FFA winner advances. Silly, right? Last year it was 10 lives FFA and the prize was this $180 stereo system. I cleaned house and won the bad boy. I'll check into the rules again when their site is back up. Any of you guys play TF2? We should enter this scrub tourney and kill TF2 as well ^_^

I moved all the circuit threads into this room cause they are more SOCIAL threads then they are tournament threads (or rather, they should be).

I would suggest having separate threads for the actual TOURNAMENTS that happen during a circuit. Then, the plan is that the next even in each circuit can get a sticky in the regional/non-social room.

Ideally the regional room will be SOLELY for tournaments and smashfests. The social room will be for circuit threads, crew threads, social threads, housing threads, car threads, partner threads, or whatever other threads can exist.

If I may say something along the lines of streaming.

I think at this point in time, the community is over the whole idea of live stream as it severely cuts into the quality of the video. Most seem to prefer to watch the match in high quality than live.

Though I guess if you've figured out a way to get the quality and frame rate up to speed then that'd be bomb

And you find it BETTER to make multiple threads for a regularly scheduled single-venue local-level tournament series?

I mean, I can see the logic behind a circuit with multiple venues and dates, but this is a biweekly with the same venue, same rules, every two weeks.

I assume multiple people will just jump on the mic depending on who has a match going on and who's playing on the stream, but if anyone has ever tuned into the TKO Show (check sonic xat almost any night) you'll know it's pretty hype. XD

Streaming Brawl and YouTube'ing Melee actually does make sense because 1) MI boasting the top 3 Brawl players in the MW is conducive to a good number of live stream viewers and 2) Brawl generates way less hype than Melee does on YouTube, as far as I can tell.

MY wii+my stream equipment=the main tv for big matches and stuff

even tho its streaming i request people to save there matches so i can upload them later because i do not like ustreams horrible quality in videos

so both things will be covered People can watch a stream and then watch the videos later on youtube
