Sonic 2, Sonic Adventure 2, Sonic 3+K. Dr Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine gets a mention as well because I **** at that game.

Sonic Labyrinth, Sonic Spinball was pretty dire, and Sonic 360 has to go down as maybe the worst game I've ever played.

-What was your encouragement to pick up Sonic?

Fanboyism ^-^ and he just looked a good character from pre-release videos.

Less start up on most moves, especially fsmash. Sonic's meant to be a fast character but I can never really feel it. I'd trade power for speed and range anyday, Sonic should have been a MK style character IMO.

-What character would you add into Brawl? How about remove?

Needs more and :mew2: and . Or maybe Pinsir because Pinsir is awesome. I don't care much for Lucas or Ike, but I wouldn't really remove anyone.

Espy, X, I liked watching old-skool Sonic mains like Lucky and Tumby too

-Are you planning to Sonic 4, Sonic Colours, and/or Sonic Free Riders?

As soon as I get some money, I'll probably get Sonic Free Riders and Kinect. Sonic Colours looks fun too, but Sonic 4 doesn't really appeal to me. I don't know if I'm the only person who finds the art direction absolutely hideous.

Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog <3 I don't know why people don't like it, I grew up on that shizz. I have the whole boxset on DVD in my bedroom, I'll probably watch some after I've finished this.

There's so many to choose from. Umm...Live and Learn, Any final boss from Sonics 1/2/3/Knuckles, Mystic Cave Zone, Ice Cap Zone, Hill Top Zone, Spring Yard Zone, but my favourite has to be Starlight Zone. I much prefer old Sonic music to new ones.

No, but I've been to smashfests and rankings and such. I was ranked second in my region at one point, some time ago :')

I don't really play many video games. I really like the Zelda series, I need a new GC controller so I can carry on Windwaker because that game is amazing. I like fighting games too; Guilty Gear, Street Fighter, MvC2 etc. Recently I've got quite addicted to Kirby games on the DS, and I've always liked pokemon.

• What have you been up to all this time? It's been some time since we've seen you around.

Suprisingly little. Spent most of my time out of the house with friends/gf. My life is in limbo atm. I want to leave where I am but there are certain things keeping me here. I know I don't come here often and when I do I'm just really inappropriate cos I'm usually high or whatever but I'll start actually being a productive member of the boards from now. Mebbe.

• What are your plans when it comes to competitive Smash? Pursuing tournaments and the like?

I was going to go to a smashfest for the first time in like half a year last week but something came up last minute. I might get back into it if there's anything local like there was last week. Before I was travelling for like over 2 hours on public transport just to get there and I don't really want to do that anymore.

• If Sonic was not in this game, who would you see yourself playing as? Or if you had to replace Sonic with anybody else, who would it be?

I wouldn't replace Sonic with any character. If Knuckles was in the game I'd probably main him alongside Sonic tho. If Sonic wasn't in the game I'd be using Jigglypuff I'd imagine, I find most of the characters in the game incredibly boring to use. I used to main/2nd ROB but he was so boring he made me want to eat my own face.

Bagpipes, do you play them?

I don't, I can't really see the appeal because to me watching someone playing them is like watching someone sexually abusing an octopus

Have you played any of the Fire Emblem games? If yes, how far did you get?

I've only played Radiant Dawn seriously. I completed that somehow even though Ike was underpowered and weak as **** so I had to luck my way through most parts towards the end. Shinon carried me through that whole game lol.

How's your shoulder?

I didn't know I'd told anyone about that :') ****ing agony tho, I didn't sleep til about 7 in the morning today because I was up with it hurting all night. It interrupts a lot of everyday activites as well, which can be frustrating.

Are you in school/working? What do you do for a living/study?

I finished college a couple of months ago and now I'm just trying to find a job. It's difficult though when our governments ****** this country for everything it's got. There are literally no jobs where I live which is why you see half the town queued up in front of the benefits centre everyday. I might go to university next year if I figure out what I want to do with my life, but for now I'm happy being a hobo.

What brought you back to the Sonic boards? How much do you think has changed?

Everyone's a lot sexier. Lots of people I remember on the boards years ago are gone now. Where the **** is CiTH or Boxob?

High I think. :') It comes from me and my friend just yelling characters names at random people melee announcer style. I'm suprisingly good at imitating his voice tho.

Would you still attend Brawl tournaments if you had the chance?

I don't like the palava of things that tightly organised. And I play a lot better if I'm chilled out. I don't like travelling all that much, but I might look at hosting soon, I'm not sure. I'd love to play tourneys and just play against skilled people more often though.

What other characters do you play?

Competitevly, just Sonic and Jiggs. I like playing as Ganon and Ness in friendlies and such. I'm just a sucker for good characters I guess xD

Do you play any instruments?

I used to play the piano but I don't have it anymore. I'm sat here with my guitar as we speak, which I'm useless on cos I only started learning a few days ago. I'm really musically inept though, I can't keep a beat for tuppence.

No, I don't know how to. I rarely play my wii anyway.

If they focused on quality not quantity Sonic might still have dignity. I couldn't stand to play much of Sonic 360, I got to the second level then never touched it again, but it looked like it could've been good if it hadn't been so rushed and buggy. I was literally killed off 10 times in the first level, having to restart the whole game TWICE on a part I had no control over. Sonic 4 looked like it could've been a step in the right direction but from videos and reviews it seems pretty bad. New developers plz.

There's a lot less trolling and drama lol. I like the friendly atmosphere and that threads aren't being closed left right and centre for no reason like they used to.

What a load of ********. I voted Lib Dem to keep the Torys and their right wing **** out. I won't be making that mistake again

Did you like labour?

They're not to blame for a lot of the countries problems. Those problems have been cumulating before we were even born. I like their old style ethos when they cared for the working man, and not all this elitist stuff nowadays.

Blue, green.

Any hobbies or interest?

I love music and excersicing as lame as it sounds. I try to play football everyday. Someday I wanna be professional, but I have no idea how to get into it :/?

Why did you choose not to go to Uni?

I couldn't understand why everyone was going to uni while like a month before they were heading off they were like "im not even sure i wanna do this course." Why waste 15K on something you're not fully dedicated to? I have no idea what I want to do with my life atm, but once I start caring enough about anything I'll probably use uni to help me out.

Smoke?

Yes, but I've cut down to a couple a day and I'm trying to quit under the gf's orders.

Favourite song/piece of music?

I love all types of music, as long as it's not generic pop, death/heavy metal or screamo or whathaveyou. I really like dubstep though, it's all I listen to all day. If you don't know to much about it I'd definately recommend it, especially if you've got amazing subwoofers or speakers. I'm very interested in tCanada's metagame; even though they're so close to the U.S., the way they play or may not be a bit different as to how American [Sonics] play.

Is there anybody out there besides me that would like to one day travel to Canada just to see what the metagame is like? It'd either be Alberta or Nova Scotia for me (Maybe British Colombia), I'm not sure what other provinces have a Brawl scene. I'd like to go to NS especially just 'cause their stagelist looks like an extreme of what I plan for the metagame to have when everything is all said and done.... Plus, they don't have any Sonic's up there so I'd pretty much like to see how far I could get up there, lol.

Because I'm way past cool.

Your confidence and strong determination, where does it come from? You're so optimistic.

It was how I was raised, I think. For the time that I had my Father in my life he was such a strong-spirited person. Nice to all but honest and heroic. He was a paramedic who saved countless lives. In that kind of profession you need determination and confidence. I may be going an alternate route of voice acting as that's my dream, but I like to think that I got my heart from him. From my Mom and Dad both, actually. Our family is full of fighters. Pessimism does nothing but weigh you down. If you have the time and will for it, never EVER give up on anything you want to do.

Why a strong affiliation with Cloud?

A lot of people have drawn similarities from him to me, actually. Sure the confidence and optimism that borderlines super cheerful is more of a Zack thing, but we've both had our fair share of hardships. He's such a multi-dimensional character and anyone who passes him off as some emo refuses to look at the grand picture. If I had to pick someone fictional asides Sonic to inspire me, it would be Cloud. Spin-Dash was my original name that was driven only by my want to play Sonic in Smash Bros. and needing a name for tournaments. Now that I've found the time to truly find myself, Cloud/Kuraudo, it's just right. Call me Brandon though in person or whatever. Anything goes!

Where did you learn to make such good effects on avi's and stuff?

Years of practice and a lot of personal tinkering with things. I don't follow tutorials on websites often and I find myself doing my own thing. I'm more of a monkey-see, monkey-do, kind of guy. I'm no expert though! I just simple yet visible avis. It passes the time.

Save for feeling that I don't deserve a Custom Sonic texture, I feel I've already got everything I need. He's blue, he's cool, he's just as I remember him growing up over the years. Sonic and I are going to take names together, no need for a change in color.

-What is the reason you picked up Sonic as a main?

From my days in NSider as Super Smash Bros. Brawl was revealed, speculation and hype around Sonic started. I was one of the people leading the front for wishing for him to appear in the next game. My very first video game was Sonic the Hedgehog in 1991; yes. I was only 2 years old and already racing through loops and trying to beat up Dr. Robotnik.

Ever since? He's been one of my favorite fictional characters of all time. This is the first time that I've ever seen a character in a fighting game from the get-go and have immediately said, "I will main him." Years later and I have not flaked on my promise. I have no regrets.

-What is your favorite 3 Sonic songs?

Jeez, give me a tough one...

-If you were part of the development team, what changes would you do to Sonic and to other characters?

I'd start off by making most if not all of Sonic's attacks the fastest in the game. There's absolutely no reason why Sonic's kicks or Down Smash shouldn't be as quick if not faster than Meta Knight's. Would that make him hax or broken? Probably, but I'm thinking from a canon perspective on HOW he should fight. The ability to do anything out of the Side B after your second jump (save for using another jump) would do wonders as well. Not getting gimped after using Up + B if grab released too.

Meta Knight is almost fine the way he is, but the Tornado needs far less priority and should function better much like Mewtwo's NAir did in Melee. Good when it does hit, not the best priority though. I could go on all day but I'd love to make better attempts to balance the game for all characters. Let's leave it at that?

What got you into Final Fantasy?

I think I watched my sister play Final Fantasy VII on the PC a long time ago; she named Cait Sith after me (Brandon) X3, but she got stuck at the Golden Saucer if I recall correctly. After that I'd watch her and her ex boyfriend play Final Fantasy X. The storyline just had me captivated and...well, easily enough I wanted to experience it for myself. So after brutally pwning the heck out of Final Fantasy X, I moved on to Final Fantasy VII! Then a lot of the others, and now I'm a diehard fan. The rest is history.

I don't suppose you ever watched Inuyasha at any point in your life, did you?

I did, actually! My friend from Junior High/High School was the one who got me into it. Being a silly teen, I always thought that Kagome was cute. dajkhfd And Inuyasha was a cool character with his moments of funny.

Speaking of anime, what do you have to say about it?

Anime is one of the best things to happen to the world of animation and cartoons alike. Both for story and for the effort and design in their characters. The glory days of animation from the US is fleeting, and it shows when some of their shows are taking notes from Japan's styles nowadays. But it doesn't stop everyone, I know! Wish there was more I could say, but I'd probably go tl;dr in the process. Let's just say I love it.

Why do I only realize now that SHUair OoS is so good while I recall you being one of the people to advocate for it's usage earlier on?

Because I'm swept under the rug and I have no one to blame but myself? XD I give results but where are the videos? I'm going to remedy this ASAP though.

What sets you apart from any other Sonic besides the fact that you live in Canadia?

I wish I could say for sure, but I think my power shielding is something worth noting? I've been known to power shield everything that comes my way like a fiend on most occassions. It comes with the fast reflexes as a Sonic player, but someone like Falco or Wolf, their laser game doesn't slow me down if I'm running in and playing the aggro route. I'm sure some of you guys are pretty good at power shielding too, but... Maybe I'm just grasping at straws here. I'm just a good Sonic, that's all.

Do you know anybody that gets mad if I say Canadia?

Not that I can remember! I make fun of it myself sometimes.

It MAY hinder my chances for WHOBO 3, but Genesis II shouldn't be effected if I have the surgery soon.

I wouldn't mind the West Coast in the United States. I love it here though. The West Coast has some good competition and the East Coast is plenty covered where Sonic is concerned, right? But in the East Coast I can take on Speed or take on KID and prove that I'm not free or booty... Choices choices. West Coast is the Best Coast though!

Ah! Final Fantasy Tactics. That's another one that I've played. Unfortunately, didn't click with me. Then again neither did Final Fantasy XII, but I wanna revisit it and give it another chance.

In the end, it's not story or anything, it's gameplay that'll keep me coming back. If I can get through the gameplay and get used to it I'll enjoy the story along the way.

In War of the Lions I also understand that you can get Balthier too; I'll take a crack at it again some time.
