Every singles match used for practice should mean something unless you jv4. Cuz you'll obviously make mistakes. And its better to be consciously aware of some of one's own common mistakes. Like for example i have a bad habit not zoning with my arrows with pit and use them more for shield pressure/dmg something im trying to change and go into auto pilot mode at times. Also, on wario i get too eager for the kill cuz i hate his fat ***. Its good to have things pointed out no matter how much the video matters.

They way you played Pit in those Falco matches... so weird. I don't know how to describe it but it didn't seem to have much flow. I think it comes from how you space your attacks and that you tend to move very minimally to space things. I think it needs work :p.

Also against a falco, you shouldn't be running in head first at the beginning of the stock, nor should you just run up for a dash attack from across of FD (repeatedly.) :p

I think it comes down to learning when to be aggressive or not, and how to space and move to make being aggressive more succesful.

Ok, some of my matches.

From 2 months ago:

vs. Iliad (Marth) Game 1
I spend half the game failing. Not really indicative of anything except how bad I am under pressure.

vs. Iliad (Marth) Game 2
This game went a bit better. I'm a lot better than this now, I don't go for all of those unsafe followups.

vs. Iliad (Marth) Game 3
Meh. I'm not clutch. Still, this is probably the best game to watch if you only watch one of them. Biggest change in my game is that I jab more now.

vs. Mr. L (Snake) Game 3
I played badly on his last stock, but other than that, I'm pretty happy with this game. I know how to ledge camp properly, I'm not sure why I wasn't doing it in that game.

From 3 days ago:
with Supreme Dirt (Lucario/GaW) vs. Kongmetal (MK) and Peachy (Peach)
Doubles set. I missed a save at the beginning of game 1, I should have hit Dirt with an arrow so he could recover. Game 2 was just plain stupid. Dirt got hit by a bomb almost right away, and from there on stuff just got worse and worse. Any tips on the Peach matchup would be great, I wasn't quite sure what to do. For anyone curious, I'm not in the frame.

VS Iliad: IIRC you can punish the third hit of dancing blades with a sheildgrab. dont try to Fthrow CG marth so much, he can (and did) punish with dolphin slash. use fthrow>arrow instead, not as much damage but much safer. DI AWAY from marth when he throws you because he has a lot of good follow ups to his throws and he was able to use them against you. @1:09 in the second vid you should have gone for the bair instead of the failed arrow loop(or whatever you were trying and got f-smashed for) Dont go "fishing" for the kill. Just camp, let him come to you and f-smash when you see the opportunity. Also you roll a bit too much, and that costed you the third game.

4th vid vs the snake: 2:45 was pretty sexy. it always feels nice to get kills like that.

Important things: Dont roll so predictably; SH or FJ those arrows sometimes. Being on the ground while spamming arrows makes me feel somewhat vunerable, doing it in the air means you dont have to choose between projectile and movement because you can have them both; Too many smashes at the wrong times. Use Fsmash early for damage and later for killing, never in the middle for punishment.

ill actually critique this later but when i see xcallion said fthrow to arrow i kinda disagree if he meant at 0%. fthrow>ss fsmash can't be dolphin slashed if you do it right. that aside fthrow> arrow is okay. i prefer to bait the DS and then punish but arrow is definately the safer option.

Yeah, I got wrecked second game. Getting hit with that Bob-Omb really messed me up for the rest of the game. Also Peachy is really ****ing good. And to top it off, I'm bad at both the MK and Peach MUs.

(I was really hoping the rest of our dubs matches were up... I was hopeful when this was at the top of my namesearch...)

Stop rolling all day long vs Marth. Don't spot dodge his dancing blade, shield grab it. Stay back and shoot arrows. You got lucky game 2. You should win on rainbow, Marth only really beats us by his range and zone traps and with rainbow you can stay away the whole time and shoot arrows. By the way, why weren't you shooting arrows lol.

I'll critique the Snake game since I know Mr. L and I like the matchup.

:27 You just ran up in his face and spot dodged. Ignore the grenade and grab him there.

:37 You're never going to shieldgrab the second part of his ftilt unless its a powershield.

:47 It's obvious the bair was coming so he just shielded it. Use angel ring for more shield pressure or just run away and regroup in that situation because you took 20 more percent from snake's brokenness.

:53 lol, don't be afraid. Throw the grenade back at him. Always do this if the Snake isn't smart enough to cook them.

1:08 Cut that out, that's not how we get bairs. 20 more percent for you.

1:29 Good judgement. A snake falling to the ground 80% of the time will fall with a stupid bair. It has such bad ending lag that you can shield it and punish. Good kill.

1:53 Don't go anywhere near Snake's comfort zone when you're over 110, he's going to utilt.

2:15 You already know. 20 more percent for you.

2:27 Now THAT's a bair right there. Snake in guided missle mode is so free. Run off the platform, don't jump, fall and bair.

2:46 You fsmash is stale. It was your fault for using it when he is near killing percent. Get away and arrow or get a grab in and pummel repeatedly until you get 9 hits in.

2:48 Didn't matter this time, but it still applies. Nice arrow kill.

2:55 You both looked silly there. Go for the chaingrab next time. 40% is more than 17% from fsmash.

3:05 Angel ring and mirror shield work on Snake's mortar. Use angel ring most of the time.

3:12 Mirror shield, but you probably were going to anyway since you were crouching.

game1

im impressed abel. you really took our previous advice to heart on this match up.

so far i see you fast falling dair into the ground. don't do that because the lage is terrible. do it rising instead.

lol at 1:41 you should have just hopped and shot an arrow.

on your second life you are kill fishing. while it is indeed time to look for kill oportunities, you are trying way too hard for that kill and your getting read because of it. be patient as your lucky he didn't grab you near the beginning

2:40 you could have WOI regrabbed the ledge and then rolled onto the stage and gotten an edgehog gimp.

around 3mins you are kinda grab fishing going for that free 30%. if you can't get it tho, just space him with jab and dtilt. don't try to hard for one thing as it gets predictable

3:29 dat was some good DI

3:57 why did you sh airdodge? should have gone for sh uair (auto cancel height of course) or bair.

in general when you plank you go down to low. watch some of kuro and luckay and mine vids just to get the general height of planking down and regrabing the edge with WOI down.

4:06 falco has one of the longest and most powerful disjointed fsmashes in the game. just plank that **** tho and uair will win.

getting impatient in the beginning of your last stock

4:53 stop going for the cg and just go for the fsmash when the way you are facing is nowhere near with edge distance on the cg. plus on falco (and most of the cast) pit has to cg by buffering the the regrab. put the inputs in starting as pit brings his arm back in after throwing them and learn DACG regrab to make it much more effective and easier.

those last 20 seconds were well played man. game 2 comin up

:18 you rushed in, you got grabbed. nuff said

:58 your spot dodge spam is getting predictable, switch it up with like utilt and woi and jab.

nice first kill, still stop spamming dodges.

2:43 nice try but there goes the main kill move. wait till he at 120ish to hit with that and punish with jab or dtilt or grab.

2:55 getting impatient while you have the lead man. that's why you got grabbed.

3:03 they are shielding. grab them

3:36 WAT R U DOING?!?!?! stay on that ledge for a bit, you are at kill percent, don't rush in like that!

3:39-3:43 nice little bit right there

3:58 you ran in, you died, nuff said.

beginning of next life you ran in, camp that **** mang. you were no where near 36%

overall, not bad, that last kill was kinda sex. oh and last thing
