kuro as far as i can tell you played a perfect example of the MU, and a near perfect example at lylat. just to make sure you all know this, if we stand on one of the two engine lumps or if we have the high ground when the stage slants on lylat, we get the guarenteed air release on wario and MK. am the only one who knew that or did you just not think to use the stage slant?

I don't get how he died when he used fart. Anyway that was definitely a prime example of staying safe against a wario. I never thought of using angel ring on the bike when wario throws it up, that was nice.

And btw you should always keep in mind the grab releases on wario and mk. Wario specifically since he is heavy and lives long. I don't think you had many opportunities due to the stage slant being the wrong way when you got a grab, but a guarenteed kill setup is a very wonderful thing. It can make things much less stressful. It's actually easier than throwing out an fsmash because people are more likely to shield when they are that high % so go in and get a grab release.

I've been doing that for a long time since b4 i even officially "mained" pit. It's so lulzy. Really discourages it. Ya so, alot of my friends in the Fl scene keep encouraging me to stay all pit in tourney even though my "designated" time period for training him is almost up...idk whether i want to stick to it for a while longer or not...i probably will cuz i have no1 to mentor my pit. Yet i do have some snake mentors...so it's like...easy to get better with him. So expect me to go all pit longer than i said :)

just to let you know kuro im taking the liberty of uploading that vid into the pit youtube account. that honestly was a perfect example of how that match up should be played all the way down to bike reflection. sure you missed stage dependendent grab releases but for new pit's on other stages this is how it should be played.

edit: nvm it won't upload it for some reason.

I can do it. All it takes is download it with realplayer then convert it to mp4 or avi.

oh.... i didn't know i had to convert it. i have real player but ill just let you do it.

also, while unrelated to the wario thing or vids, will you read through and post your opinion on the brinstar discussion?

for some reason i can't convert it either. oh well.
Well, this is the whole reason i decided like a few days back to make the pit youtube video request thread also the video thread. That way those that can't SOMEHOW get it on the channel, then i can just do it like a regular video thread separated by matchups.

I've never critiqued someone before, but I'll give it a shot.

For starters, you gave us the wrong link lol. It's http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zKkEISvf1FU&feature=related that we can see. But anyways onto the match.

0:21- ... yeah don't do that.

0:32- Good job avoiding and punishing tornado. After the dthrow though, uair is a better followup if you're going to chase after him. You might have meant to do that though, dunno. You were good about shielding tornado throughout the video, nice work.

1:05- Past combo percentages, uthrow > dthrow. More damage and knockback.

1:32- This isn't the only time you did it, but when you're uairing from the ledge, drop down farther so that only your blades come above the stage. Unless you're punishing a laggy move.

1:40- It might not be best to start gliding that close to MK (or anyone, really) as you're prone to being punished.

1:45- Great reads and mixups.

1:57- I do this too. Remember that WoI pushes you down some, I think it's if you've used all your jumps but it might be always. So use it a little higher above the bottom blast zone.

2:09- Try using utilt out of spotdodge when your opponent is right on top of you. It comes on on frame, like, 3.

2:31- Space your arrows better..

2:45- Awww yeaaaa. Epic bair kill.

2:47- Lol platform cancel. Anyways.

3:01- I cringed. Careful coming out of WoI! If that Dsmash had come out a couple frames earlier, you would have been unable to use any of your recovery options and plummeted to your death. FF, air dodge, at least DI up so you don't fall off the stage.

All in all, you did pretty good. MK's not an easy matchup for us (duh). I didn't see you use a single utilt or dtilt I don't think. Or nair. These are all good moves that you should incorporate into your gameplay. You seem to like to get kills with bair, and you're pretty good at sweetspotting it. You might want to consider keeping it fresh by using it only for the kill.
