Farewell Kewkky, for 7-8 months! Enjoy yourself! Also before you leave, you should tell me more about this, because of reasons and stuff.

Bye Kewkky! ;_;

Also... Good news, I played Exdia again tonight and I lost 2 of the games cause I lost too many stocks early (so I just ragequit out), but beat him 4 games in Checkerboard Chase. :D (He was making me ragequit in Brawl too. He got A LOT better. O.o)

As for the Kirby list, it's a good list, must be tough to decide all those in order. My personal top two Kirby games are Return to Dream Land and Kirby's Dream Land 3. It's REALLY REALLY hard to decide, they're both amazing. KDL3 has unique elements and a looooooooot of nostalgia value whereas KRtDL has in-depth movesets for each move and feels a lot more (to me anyway) smooth than KSS/KSSU, so it's above them. At the end, it's really hard to pick my true favorite, but those are the top two.

And yeah now that I think about it. I can't think of any Kirby main I dislike. Which is a good thing. XD

Easy, I PM'd a certain person a list of people who I find could take over for me.

What, you wanted specifics? Too bad man, Fuujin's taking over. :awesome:

@ Pidge: YES! SOMEONE WHO AGREES! Kirby's Dream Land 3 was undisputedly my favorite Kirby game until I played Return to Dream Land, now it's a tough pick, but it's in my top 2 nonetheless! -^_^-

@ Kingtoon: YES! THAT'S WHAT I LIKE TO HEAR! :D

I love Kirby's Dreamland 3, not just because of nostalgia, but it felt so unique to me and the gameplay was awesome. It's one of my favorites, I'm still stuck between KDL3, KrtDL, 64 or Amazing Mirror. XD

Also level 4-5 in Kirby's Dreamland 3 is my favorite; the level where you have to bring Rick to the end. I remember when I was younger I was like "OMG THIS IS F***ING HELL" but now it's my favorite since I can control Rick pretty well. The music in that level is so cute and nostalgic as well. :3

My favorite combo in that game is Rick + Ice. XD
I loved the Ice ability in this game mainly because it hit multiple enemies and slides up bumps. :p

Good luck with stuff Kewkky.

KDL3 and KSS are my favourites. KDL2 and Return to Dreamland are up there as well.

Thanks. FAE suggested I play Kirby a bit more since he fits my playstyle.

And with just a couple days of practicing apparently he is level to my Lucas. xD *siiigh* such is the way.

Although while he maybe cute... HE'S NO DEVIL! D:

Marth is gonna do a lot of aerials, smashes, tilts, and so forth. Basically, he's gonna do everything. So your kirby game is to do good sheilding, good timing, and good avoidance. You can shield grab after his 3rd and 4th swing of his sideB. His weak point is his back when kirby is behind him while he does an aerial or sideB.

When you grab him, be aware of his upB after you do an fthrow. The best grabbing start is doing a dthrow, so there's little to no risk making an ftilt. Always time your edgeguard.

any tips against marth?
Spacing.

Basically Marth's fair is fast, but because of how its hitbox is, you can beat him by bairing (or maybe another air depending on the spacing) his head. His fair comes out before your airs, but you have multiple jumps, so jump around him but not get hit then learn his patterns/his vulnerable spots. Also ALWAYS keep your eye on the Marth because if you don't, you can mess up your spacing and get hit. Bairs offstage are good, against a good Marth, you probably won't gimp him, but it's nice percent and positional advantage.

But yeah, just learn knowledge of his hitboxes and hit him in spacing/patience, that's how I beat Marth. Lately my Kirby hasn't been doing so hot vs Marth because I've been impatient, but as long as you keep your patience and outspace him you WILL get more hits than the Marth and should beat him.

Sorry if my advice seems really simple, but it's hard to explain spacing, it's something you have to understand yourself.

Also, Marth can Up-B out of the Gonzo Combo, so on the first stock pull away after your f-throw and if they Up-B, you get a free ground hammer. If not... Then doing it on the next stock is risky because they may know what you're trying to read. It's really mindgamey, so if you're not comfortable in reading if they're gonna Up-B out of the Gonzo combo or not, just d-throw him instead of f-throw.

But yeah, that's my advice for Marth, it's simple but the more patient player should win granted they both have an understanding how to space against each other.

Marth is soooooooooooo easy for Kirby.

(well for Me, but I'm coming from Lucas)

You just have to have mix-ups vs. Marth because if you go at him with the same strategy, you will get shut out. I agree with Poyo and deffo needs of patience.

Patience. And don't ever be in front or above him, try to stay below him. Marth is very very jugglable, and doesn't have much to stop a juggle.
Other than that, focus on getting him offstage. That's the only area of the stage Kirby has the clear advantage.

☯ ... That took me a while to type. ._.;

☯ Any one else have a list of favorites?
That was an amazing write-up. I agree with almost everything you wrote, though of course I have differences of opinions here and there, but only slightly. For instance, I have a personal love for Dreamland 3 because it's art style is so unique and the Friends were so adorable (plus the Samus and ROB cameos were awesome). I also tend to say Kirby Super Star is my favorite game in the Kirby universe, especially now that Kirby Super Star Ultra has added on to the content. However, I must say that Kirby's Adventure is right up there, specifically Nightmare in Dreamland which brings new life to the original title.

Also, at first I didn't think very highly of Squeak Squad because the mice were 'whatever' and the game was short, but then I played through it again and I have to say it's one of my favorite Kirby games of all time.

Everyone pretty much already said anything I wanted to input on Kirby Vs Marth. Basically bait his F-air and punish him with your b-air. The reason that works is because Marth extends his arm while doing a F-air and that is your window. Spacing is a huge key in that match up. It's a footsies match-up really. Also when Marth uses his Up-B to recover and snaps the ledge, PRESSURE HIM! Why? Because Marth is now carrying RCO lag and that is your window to a KO or some more rack up damage. Just wait for him at a distance near the ledge where you can react to a F-air. At high percents just look out for his Counter (Down-B). Also, if you grab him when you're at really low percent (under 20%) and you start the Gonzo Combo, just DO IT! Never assume that Marth knows he can Up-B out of it because you give up free damage. Plus, you being at low percent you have more of a chance of counter-attacking if you do get hit by it. Like I said, never assume Marth knows he can escape the Gonzo Combo until you see it. Once that happens, you just adjust accordingly, bait and punish! :bee:

Why is Kirby so much fun?

I feel none of his MUs are really hard st all and even for ICs and Olimar, I have Lucas who has a better MU.

However indeed to play more MUs but having a character who can actually go about and do some cool things is awesome and not having to worried about being grabbed is great.

Olimar is indeed a very hard match up to learn because Kirby's style of play has to change a lot compared to the rest of his MU's. I've been studying some ChuDat's play and incorporating some of my ideas and I seem to bee getting some good results out of it. We should get to udating some MU write-ups but we're all so lazy.

Because he's got everything you could ever want in all rolled up into one cute ball of happiness.

And I just noticed that someone kindly uploaded one of my tournament games!
If anyone wants to check it out, here's the link:

Watching that set again made me realize how many lols there were in the game (especially the very last hit of the very last stock). I was getting my butt handed to me the first two rounds, but I managed to turn things around starting round 3. -^_^-

Nothing except keep beating his MK with Kirby.
Sure. And I'll keep using my prize winnings to pay your way in like usual.
Maybe if Nintendo releases a patch that super-buffs Kirby I'll actually sandbag with my main, R.O.B., until then you're only going to get sandbagged with my alts. Lose to Jigglypuff next X^D
