You can polish a turd all you want. Mario is still poopoo. He has a few cool little bells and whistles but they don't come anywhere near close to outweighing his negatives.

Still, 2v2 games do provide enough a different enough form of gameplay that tier upsets can occur. I'm not going to vouch for Mario>Snake or anything, but I think we ought to give it a chance and confirm such suspicions as opposed to just writing something off like that.

I just don't think much thought should go into it when the character isn't a serious partner anyway.
But if you really got nothin better to do, then have fun.

I have the Japanese ISO actually, but...

For some reason, whenever you select one of the main games (KDLs 1-3, Adventure, Super Star and 64) it just goes back to the Wii Menu. I think whoever scrubbed it messed up and removed the main games because I assume they're in another data partition than the main game like how Brawl's trial games are. It's a shame, but hey, at least I could play the Copy Ability stages and look at the Kirby game gallery. XD

I'm probably going to buy the English release of Kirby's Dream Collection even though my Wii can't read discs, just cause it's something I want to have (plus I think I can extract the ISO off the disc, not sure though). :D

Even though I run my Kirby games off HD, I still buy them on disk. It's like an old-school way of purchasing 'digital download'. XD

I'd do that if I actually had a job/could pay for things, but for now, I just ISO download. Although I am making an exception for Kirby's Dream Collection cause it comes in a box with a CD and stuff. It's the 20th Anniversery Kirby game, so as a Kirby fan, it's my duty to have it! XD

I got Dolphin working and am downloading GCN/Wii games as we speak (already got Melee and Super Monkey Ball 1 + 2 for hardcore gaming, Brawl is coming soon). Gonna play some Smash with my Navy co-workers during deployment so I don't get rusty! Thank God my laptop has 5 USB ports! I'm so pumped!

2 days left until I'm gone for a good while, leaving on Monday to who knows where. All I know is that it's a 7-8 month deployment and we'll be sailing across the seas for a good while. I'll have internet, but it'll be so weak I won't trust it to be stable enough for me to do anything worthwhile online, besides maybe browse 9Gag, check out FB, and other such low-bandwidth applications (maybe even chat around in SWF, we'll see). I'm thinking a new Kirby mod will be assigned to take my place, so heads up for that. Hope it's not Twinkie so we can have a KIRBY mod

Hey just wondering, is anyone here good at the Kirby 64 minigames?

Reason I ask is because I've been getting ***** by Exdia at the checkerboard one so I need advice on how to play it better. I've thrown my controller twice over it today and have been getting pretty mad. Like it's hard to hit people because when you shoot a beam, they have enough time to run away, so you have to read it when they attack so they're in the lag of attacking and they can't run away. It's really weird. But yeah, I need advice because I'm getting pretty mad over this. >_<

So Twinkie assimilated my post back there, it seems.

I'm okay at the Kirby 64 minigames. Haven't played it in a good long while though... So I can't even remember them.

And yep, I'm in the Navy! I landed a pretty awesome job here (electronics technician), and am loving it.

I raaaaaaaape at the 100-Yard Hop too, but Exdia won't play it, he'll only play the checker board one. ;_;

however, kewkky will always be better than me because his Kirby is sexy. Very sexy indeed...

I hate Bumper Crop, love Checkerboard Chase, and like 100 Yard Hop, though the Expert level can be a b**** when you have to wait for the turtle to come up and the next jump is 3 spaces away before you jump onto the turtle lol

Also I haven't played Checkerboard Chase with friends so I can't help you there, sorry :/

do the kirbys all like each other?

:phone:
In all my time modding here, and before modding here, I haven't seen two Kirby mains hate each other's guts and publicly post in such ways on the boards. Would it amaze you if I said I haven't infracted anyone in a good number of months? I can't even remember my last infraction given... I think it was someone who was joking around and asking me for an infraction (literally), so he broke a rule on purpose (which doesn't count).

Kirby boards are pretty awesome and well-behaved. Looking at other boards and their behaviors, I gotta say I'm proud of these guys.

#1 Kirby’s Adventure/Nightmare In Dream Land (Remake)

Kirby’s Adventure is the very first Kirby game that gave him his character, (copy ability, saving the world from darkness, and being pink). Not only that, it’s been proven to be a very enjoyable experience from first to last levels, nice amount of puzzles to complete, and great graphics for NES. After completing normal mode, there is always EX mode to complete, just a mode where you will die in three hits and have less recovery items, a little more challenging if you depend on recovering. Let us not forget the music, the soundtrack is very underrated due to Butter Building, (though Butter Building is one of my favorite Kirby soundtrack). With Grape Garden and Rainbow Resort soundtrack they could at least add more remixes, (thankfully Grape Garden is beautifully remixed in Returns To Dreamland). Lately this game is getting the love it’s deserve, before it wasn’t, now you can play the remake, VC, or 3DS. The remake has a nice amount of changes, some of the enemies have changes, even the mini games have changed, and also after EX mode, you can play as Meta Knight, he’s like a broken Sword Kirby but can die fast, only thing that didn’t change is Boss Endurance. Whether you are good with the changes or not, it shouldn’t hinder your gameplay, (though the remake is a lot easier to play because of rebalance mechanics). I consider this game being number one because how much effort is put in this game, and it’s a NES title, this game maybe old, but it’s still shines bright.

Over All, I highly recommend everyone to play this game, you will not like it… you will love it.

★★★★★

#2 Kirby Super Star/Super Star Ultra (Remake)

Talk about a variety of modes, this game practically gives you a lot of things to do. Despite most of the modes being short, (most of them can eat up at least an 10-30 minutes), you will enjoy every single mode. My personal favorite is The Arena, I lost count of how many times I’ve played that mode, it is fun to tackle all the bosses in the game and see how fast you can beat them, seeing how Super Star has the most bosses in Kirby history I just love playing every single boss. In Super Star you will have from playing classic story like Spring Breeze, to playing a funny but epic race for food in Gourmet Race, to playing a treasure hunt game in The Great Cave Offensive, (also seeing a lot of references items from different games), and so on. The mini games are also addictive, which AI opponents it won’t last long, humans is a lot better, (Super Star Ultra has more mini games, except classic mini games can’t be multiplayer for some reason). The most noteworthy thing in this game is the copy abilities, most of them have a nice amount of variety move sets in them, and the most annoying thing in every Kirby game is to have your ability knocked off you after every hit, rest assured it’s not always guarantee this time, but it can still randomly happen. The music in this game is well known, or should I say Gourmet Race is too well known. Good thing more music in this game is noticeable, King Dedede’s theme is better than past Kirby games, Every single Meta Knight’s Revenge music is great, and don’t get me started with Marx’s theme. <3

Over all I recommend getting the remake over the original, the difference is bigger than Nightmare In Dreamland. Revenge of the King is Spring Breeze EX, Meta Knight Ultra is to play every level as Meta Knight, (which is very cool), Helper To Hero is another version of Arena except playing as the sidekicks, and playing all the EX bosses in True Arena where Galacta Knight is a health hazard to everyone playing this game without a helper or a broken ability, lol. Yea, the remake is recommended, it’s pretty much like playing the original except rebalance mechanics, newer modes, and little enemy changes, only way I won’t recommend it if you want to play co-op and you don’t have two copies of the game, then getting the SNES would be better, (getting this on VC or playing this in Dream Collection works to). All and all, I have yet to meet a single person who didn’t like this game, worthy of being one of the greatest Kirby games of all time.

#3 Kirby’s Returns To Dream Land

This game is so underrated that it’s just stupid. Every time I see a reviewer give this game less credit than it has, God kills something important. Anyways, this game has a combination of the past Kirby games in terms of gameplay. Few examples: copy ability plays like Kirby Super Star, every copy ability has another control including one shot abilities, the map system works like Kirby Dream Land 2, super inhale from Kirby & The Amazing Mirror is present without Kirby getting tired this time, etc. As you can tell, this game is a welcome to all the Kirby fans that love the Kirby’s classic game play as anyone hasn’t even played since Kirby’s Squeak Squad. While the gameplay is like a near perfect Kirby game the difficulty is something to mention. It’s easier than most of the Kirby games in the past, mostly because there is a lot of food items to make almost every mistake you make won’t cost you much, and there is a lot of stars in each area to give you a guarantee 1up, (to add, you will already start at 9 lives and with all your lives gone, your partners can still come back, but with half heath). Even EX modes have the same problems, except the fact you have less room for error and bosses are more powerful in EX. As expected, most of the Kirby games are easy, so that’s not a surprise. The most impressive addition is the multiplayer, you can control 4 Kirbys or the popular characters from Dreamland, (Meta Knight, King Dedede, and Bandana Waddle Dee). Multiplayer works like a combination of Dreamland 3, and Nightmare In Dream Land. You can choose to play, switch, or call it quits when you play with the other protagonist. Of course if Kirby dies, you will be forced to start in the area where you entered from, being Kirby is a big responsibility after all, you can’t get pass the stages without him anyways. Soundtrack in this game has a number of great remixes from the past Kirby games as well as a number of its own amazing music. I strongly recommend hearing the Grape Garden remix, it is a masterpiece. The graphics in this game are a little disappointing. Manly it shows it used to be a GC game that got painted to be on a Wii game, which is strange considering Kirby games always have great graphics, but graphics doesn’t make the game, lol. The main challenge in this game is the copy ability challenge room where you have to use one of your copy ability at your highest skill and knowledge of each challenge. Also you need to complete each challenge to get a 100% profile, however you don’t have to complete the mini games in this game to get 100%. Everything is optional in this game, you don’t have to get every Energy Spheres in the game, but you need them to unlock the ability rooms and ability challenge rooms.

Over all, I strongly recommend playing this game as a Kirby fan who loves the original gameplay of the Kirby series. The difficult is on the easy side, but let that not hinder your enjoyment, (unless you love harder games), and it’s better to play with more than one person. This game is underrated. I’m not alone on this thought, but there are those who don’t like it as much as I do, I can respect that, but I won’t give this game a lower score because it lacks the change of the Kirby main series, this game is for those who miss the Kirby main series gameplay after all.

★★★★☆

#4 Kirby Canvas Curse
Out of every Kirby game, Canvas Curse is the most unique one I’ve played. Throughout the whole game, the gameplay is like controlling Ball Kirby with extra help with your stylus to control Kirby’s direction, (drawing lines, tapping Kirby to make him go faster or defeat enemies, etc), let’s not forget mention a twist of copy abilities, one of the best part about this game. The obstacles are fairly challenging, so you won’t fly pass this game like you would with the other main series, some areas you need to keep your copy ability to collect the medal, and avoid getting damaged. There are areas where you have to tap with the stylus, as well as making sure Kirby doesn’t stray away too far, or keeping him air born while watching your paint run meter. Out of all the Kirby games, Canvas Curse is the most challenging Kirby game out of the main series, so don’t be mad when you are unable to get 100% as easily, the main games, mini games, and boss battle have a nice challenge to them. The soundtrack is almost all Kirby remixes from the past. At least one or two soundtracks from each Kirby game are present. Some of the remixes are better than the original, example Canvas Canyon to Forest Area. Some of the original is better, but the remixes are still good, example Mad Mechanism to Factory Investigation. The games graphics is amazing to see, the background, the enemies, and the paint colors are very well done. It’s almost a shame that this game came out early in the DS lifespan, not much has been said about this game, (compared to the other popular titles).

Over all, this game can be played by Kirby fans, and non-fans. This game has a lot to complete even after you beat the final boss, collecting all the medals is not easy, but not frustratingly hard ether, (except for collecting the medals from level 3 bosses). I enjoyed the heck out this game, just sad that not many people even mention Canvas Curse, this game should be one of the most to get games for the DS. I can’t help but think how many people that play this game got 100% everything, lol.

★★★★☆

#5 Kirby's Dream Land 2
Call me crazy to list this game higher than some of the other good titles, but I really like this game. One of the main reasons is that it plays like Kirby’s Dreamland, and Adventure combine. The big difference is that the animal buddies come in the play. Rick is a hamster that is like Kirby’s own personal Yoshi, (lol), Coo is an owl who can fly superbly to pass through tough wind, and there’s Kine who is a big fish that swim underwater superbly. Each animal buddy are here for different reasons of collecting the Rainbow Drop, (an item that will get you the true end for this game), but not only that, you must have the copy ability to match with the animal buddy to get different Rainbow Drops which makes the game a little more difficult. While nothing is stopping you from getting all the Rainbow Drops, but please note you will get a fake ending and not be able to truly beat the game. Sound scary, but most of Dream Land 2’s levels are pretty straight forward, but some levels have the Rainbow Drops, you should easily spot them, but you must have the combination of your right copy abilities and anime buddies. You also have to note you can’t 100% complete this game without going to the boss rooms again and play the boss mini games, it will take you a few tries by it’s not too hard. It has you getting the Point Stars while avoid getting damaged once, if you fail you have to restart the game and try again. The sound track presents some great 8-bit music, (with at least two bowered songs Floats Island, and Yogurt Yard). I’m pretty sure a lot of people are going to or already like Dark Castle or Duel in the Darkened Sky... maybe just me, lol. The graphics is an improvement over Kirby’s Dream Land, there’s more detail and it looks better on Gameboy Color.

Over all, it’s like Kirby’s Adventure in your hands… with only having seven copy abilities, but the usage is different when you use it while riding your animal buddy. The main series will end quickly if your use to the gameplay, but your force to get the Rainbow Drops to see the true ending, so you can’t breeze through the game completely. I recommend this game to those who like Kirby’s Adventure or the original Dream Land.

★★★★☆

#6 Kirby & the Amazing Mirror
At this point I will ask, why does this game not have a remake, or at the most be a port for the 3DS with wireless and, (hopefully), online gameplay. I say this because this game has by far the best multiplayer gameplay I’ve seen in a Kirby game. Each player is Kirby, but you have your own navigation, and not restricted by anyone. The problem is that you need to know someone that also has a copy of the game and it’s for GBA, which also means you need to get a link cable, or a wireless adapter to play. All that aside you will be navigating through a large over world to search for magic mirror shards for the big magic mirror. Without having friends, you have three other Kirbys that will wonder off and do as they please. You can call them for backup, but only do so when you need to beat bosses or need help with a puzzle that not one Kirby can do. There are a lot of things to discover: different rooms collect all the treasure chess, and activating all the switches. Other thing to note is that the copy abilities that was from Kirby’s Adventure works the same, except some have newer controls, like you can control Cutter Kirby’s distance of the boomerang blade, or Sword Kirby performing sword combos. The puzzles to grab the chess are the same as the past Kirby games like: needing certain ability to pass through or activate the area, or find some hidden doors. The games soundtrack is just awesome, I can’t believe some of these songs didn’t make it into Super Smash Bros. Brawl, but just have Forest/Nature Area. Just hearing Candy Constellation automatically made me love the soundtrack of this game. Starting Stage and Peppermint Palace is just beautiful to hear. The graphics are more or less like Kirby’s Nightmare In Dream Land, if you like how that looks, you will like Amazing Mirrors looks.

If you’re a fan of The Great Cave Offensive from Kirby Super Star, you are in luck. The Over World is large and the rare treasure chess takes strategies to find. The goal areas are just areas to go back to start. And of course boss areas if you want to complete the story. This game will take some time to beat for your first try, or will take at least one or two hours if you know everything. I would recommend playing with friends, but you can play on your own just fine. I currently clam this Kirby game to have the best multiplayer of every Kirby game out right now.

★★★★

#7 Kirby's Epic Yarn
A very cute and cuddly game, it’s so cute that it’s hard to resist playing this game. I know many Kirby fans, (some?), will say this isn’t a good game because it’s not Kirby like or this game wasn’t originally made for Kirby… so? Super Mario Bros. 2 for the US wasn’t supposed to be a Mario game but that game is great and Epic Yarn did just as good if not better. This game also represents Kirby’s charm as a character, saying his favorite catchphrase from the Kirby anime, “poyo”, turning himself to different objects with different control options, and interesting gameplay not Kirby related. Gameplay wise, this time Kirby can’t use his signature moves in this game. However you have access to different yarn like powers depending on Kirby’s action, most of them requires him to transform, (car for dashing, parachute for floating, weight for crushing different object, etc). His super transformation is one of the main attractions of this game, after touching the Metamortex he will transform to something powerful, or something to navigate through the level, there is ten different super transformations throughout the game. A large number of levels have at least one Metamortex that Kirby will use to transform. Some examples is the Saucer, it turns Kirby into a flying saucer and kidnap, (or absorb), enemies and blocks, afterword’s performing a powerful blast that destroys almost anything enemies related. Fire Engine is uses to put out fire, fire enemies, temporarily solidify, or get beads from above. Tankbot, (which is my favorite by the way), is used to shoot missiles at anything that moves, hover a short distance and if you play co-op use a boxing glove for enemies that is too close. Out of all the super transformations, my least favorite is the Train, you have to latch a lot of items while making sure it doesn’t fall of, and you have to carefully point at the screen with your Wii-Mote then making sure the train tracks are drawn right to navigate, it’s easy but tedious. This game can shine with both single player and multiplayer, with multiplayer you can control Prince Fluff and Kirby to conquer, (or complicate), the levels with carful but fun gameplay, speaking of gameplay, one of the major flaws of this game is you can’t die. Because of this, it’s labeled as the easiest Kirby game in Kirby history, you will encounter almost no levels to frustrate you. However, there is collecting a large amount of beads to get gold medals, which is challenging in multiplayer but easy in single player, and there is some mini games you have to do to get a 100% profile, as you play them they get a lot harder. Though the main game is easy, you have a lot of options in this game and it’s all optional, it won’t interrupt the main game if you don’t pay attention to getting everything. Most of the games music is cute and fluffy, kind of like how the games overall look, (and this game looks great). One of my favorite music in this game is Fountain Gardens, it’s also the first level to start the game out with a bang. Some soundtracks have epic music, the different boss themes fits this category.

Over all, this game looks like Yoshi Story, but plays in a whole new league. The game is easy, but you will have fun with it, and it’s a lot of things to collect to get a 100% profile. I recommend playing this game a bit to find if you like it or not, don’t just jump on the bandwagon of people that hate this game for some strange reason. One of the few challenges is to keep collecting the beads without getting hit, you won’t die but you still lose beads depending on how much you have, the other challenges is to complete the mini games. Kirby fan or not, you can enjoy this game, a little warning, you might feel a little too fluffy when playing this game, lol.

★★★★

#8 Kirby Mass Attack
To be honest, this is a tie between Epic Yarn. Both games brought some interesting gameplay to the Kirby series, though Mass Attack was more “Kirby” than Epic Yarn. However I had more fun playing Epic Yarn, so don’t hate me too much for this game being under. Anyways, if there was a Kirby game that is a main series based on platforming with some strategy, Mass Attack is that game. To start, you’re guiding Kirby’s movement with your stylus to attack, avoid, carry, and perform action command at every level. Due to Kirby being 1/10 his size, killing enemies will be much harder than before, to help beat those odds, you can create up to 10 Kirbys to travel with you by eating every fruit on the way, eating a Maxim Tomato will automatically give you a new Kirby. 10 Kirby are harder to guide, but you will beat most enemies that you come across with ease. However, the biggest note is that every Kirby will die from at least two clean attacks, some will die in one hit, and some can be carried away making this game more difficult than it is, (well, at least to get 100%). You can of course save your Kirby’s from dying by dragging their angelic bodies to the ground by throwing another Kirby to save him, you can also save Kirby’s that gets kidnapped like this to. This sounds hard, but it’s easier than it sounds, most cases you will have room to breathe to save your Kirbys. Anyways the real challenge in the game is collecting all the medals in each stage, some stages you will have to redo twice or maybe three times to collect everything. For those who think they can speed run the game without collecting medals will have it rough since you have to collect all the rainbow medals to unlock the final area, and you need a certain number of Kirbys to advance to some levels. The level format is like Kirby Dream Land 2, except you have an option to finish every stage. Bosses in this game is more challenging than any average Kirby game, to start almost every boss won’t go down unless you strike their weak spot for a set number of times, and you need to expose the weak for almost every boss. You will also find if rough to kill the boss with less than 10 Kirbys, trying to fight the boss with less than 6 Kirby is difficult, unless you’re familiar with the game. Graphics in this game is similar to Canvas Curse except more detailed. The music is mostly cute encouraging music, some remixes from Kirby Air Ride, however the soundtrack is not as noticeable as the past Kirby games, (including Retruns To Dream Land). What should be noted is the mini games in this game are very well done, (to be honest, almost every Kirby game’s mini games are well done to me). Mass Attack is the best done out every Kirby game so far, Kirby Quest and Kirby Brawlball is the most addictive to me.

Over all, this is a pretty nice game to have, sure this isn’t a Kirby main series, or the best Kirby game, but you will enjoy yourself for a while. This game can have some difficulty spike with a few levels in each world being harder than others, however it isn’t terrible. This game is best recommended for people who love strategy, and this game requires a good some of it. I’m sure Kirby & Pikmin fans will love this, lol.

#9 Kirby 64 The Crystal Shards
Kirby 64 is the fourth of the Kirby Dream Land series, if some people didn’t know, the events from the past Kirby Dream Land titles will continue from this game, (due to the chain of Dark Matter, Dark Zero, and O2). Most of your time in this game, you will play from a 2.5D point of view, (which I wish would be used more in Kirby games) and you will do your usual Kirby platforming. The most infamous concept in this game is how copy abilities work, you can use your usual copy abilities, however you can fuse them to make a whole new power, (for example, Burning Kirby fused with Sword Kirby). The good news is that you don’t have to worry about losing your copy ability with every hit like most Kirby games, it’s random, like Kirby Super Star. While it is fun to try dozens of combinations, my problem is that these copy abilities doesn’t feel like Kirby to me. Usually I would love to see new copy ability because it’s unique, but Kirby 64 fusion ability doesn’t feel that way. My other gripe is how easy the puzzle are since most of the area’s in the overworld is 4 levels long with a boss battle, you can pretty much finish the game in 4-7 hours with little knowledge of the game, it’s a little longer if you have no idea how to get every Crystal Shards, (which you will need to collect to truly beat the game). Most of the Crystal Shards are a dead giveaway, some levels you really have to think how to get the Crystal Shard, especially Aqua Star level 3. Ok, now that I got rid of the cons from my mind playing this game, now for the pros, the levels are great in this game, and with this game being 2.5D adds to the gameplay. What improves the already great levels is areas where you have Waddle Dee help you pass the level with rafts, karts, sleigh, etc, and having King Dedede to help pass through some areas with his mighty hammer is also fun. The bosses also sever as a nice challenge, more so on boss battle, this game have a nightmare of a boss Miracle Matter after all. The music in this game is summed up in one word… AMAZING! I love the soundtrack in this game and all the remixes despite being a few in the game. Above the Clouds is the best Butter Building remix I’ve heard to date, the original songs I’m a fan of Quite Forest, Rock Star, and Studying the Factory. Also to note, the mini games are addictive… well one mini game is especially fun, which is Checker Board Chase. With 4 people playing at the same time, you will play it for a while.

Over all, this game has a large fan base for different reasons, however, I’m not a big fan of the copy abilities, but I do love the gameplay and music. I won’t give a con for Kirby flying being limited because that would make some puzzles and boss battles easier. If you never played this game, shame on you, you missed out on a fun Kirby title. I’ll probably get heat for this not being higher, but it’s just how I feel when completing this game many times. Oh well for being different.

#10 Kirby's Dream Land 3
My goodness this game is hated for different good reasons or stupid ones. This game mostly had some people thinking this was just like Kirby Super Star, or the art style wasn’t their favorites, also this game doesn’t have much variety compared to the other Kirby titles. Anyways, the gameplay will be mostly familiar to those who played Kirby’s Dream Land 2 with the copy abilities with different animal buddies and having to collect the important item to complete the game. However, you will be collecting Heart Stars from every stage which makes this game harder than Dream Land 2 when it comes to completing the game. Some Heart Stars are easy, some are challenging, and some makes you want to cry, (prime example, the memory challenges and collecting the pieces for ROB, if you don’t have good memory, prepare to rage). As for the animal buddies Ricky, Coo, and Kine are the same except Ricky can climb walls. The newer ones are Chuchu, Pitch, and Nago. You will need all of their help if you want to complete this game. Chuchu is the pink blob that can cling on walls, and will make you able to swallow enemies underwater, however like most animal buddies, you can’t fly. Pitch is just like Coo, except you can run on the ground, and your flight control is better, but you can’t fly through tough winds. Nago is like Ricky but with three jumps and can’t climb walls. Completing this game with a 100% is not done by just getting a true end, you also have to complete the mini games like the jump mini game, sound mini game, and Boss Endurance. Boss Endurance is the easiest of the three despite being not so simple that you might need more than one try to succeed, the jump mini game is challenging but you have to get at least 10 successful jumps to get a point on your percentage, the memory mini game is the hardest because you can’t screw up once or you will have to start all over. There is also co-op in this game, but you control Gooey, with a sacrifice of two of Kirby’s hit points, P2 will be born. However, I don’t think he’s needed that much except to help clean the area better from different enemies, needless to say co-op will make this game much easier and depending on your taste more fun. Music in this game is both good and ok, though Sand Canyon 1 is commonly heard or recommended. For me, I’m a big fan of Grass Land 1, Grass Land 3, Ripple Field 3. The graphics is fine to me, I’m not a big fan of the crayon like style but it’s tolerable.

Over all, this Kirby game will mostly appeal to those who played and loved Kirby’s Dream Land 2 because it’s a direct sequel after all. For the final SNES game, this game did hold off well, despite the minor flaws. I can’t say this game is for everyone because some people played it and felt disappointed, however this game is still good, I like it.

#11 Kirby: Squeak Squad
This game has the best story EVER! Kirby’s cake gets stolen, and now Kirby has to beat people up to get his cake back. I’m not being sarcastic, I love this story and it makes Kirby the reason why he’s Kirby. Anyways, anyone that will be playing this game will have mostly an easy time. Why you ask? Because this is the EASIEST Kirby game to complete, all you have to do is collect every single treasure chests in each stage, it’s not too hard either and is recommended to make the game more easier, (learning new skills on your copy abilities, more heath, etc). This game is pretty much like an EX version of Amazing Mirror, except simpler. It will take anyone who played the game 3 hours or less to complete, and anyone who is new 5 hours or less. Ok, now for something different, the biggest change is the Copy Palette and is the best thing in this game. You can store 5 different bubbles in your Copy Palette whether it be food, copy abilities, tiny Kirbys, (which you will get a 1up if you collect 3 of them) Stars which exhaling, (can be acquired if you have Bubble Kirby), and storing treasure chest. You can also mix the food and copy abilities, some copy abilities can fuse with each other like Ice Bomb, or Fire Sword, etc. If you’re trying to 100% the game, you have to make space in your Copy Palette to get the treasure chests. Also, some chests have different Star Seals and you will need to collect them to advance to level 7 and above. Last thing to note, is the final boss is the easiest final boss in Kirby history. If you have Triple Star when you meet the final boss, you will defeat it in a few hits without trying too hard. After completing the game, you will have both a speed run option in the game, or Boss Endurance. The mini games are pretty fun, but better with other people as usual. The music has a nice amount of songs from other Kirby games, and some original songs. My favorite original song is from the level 8-3, other than that, not much caught my ear in this game. The graphics in this game is also lacking for a DS game, it looks just like Nightmare In Dream Land and Amazing Mirror with minor touches.

Over all, this game is the laziest attempt to make a new Kirby game, but is just as enjoyable as the past titles. If you enjoy Amazing Mirror, you might enjoy this to, the gameplay mechanics is great, only brought down of how short this game is, and how unoriginal it is as well. It depends on your taste to play this game, you might like it, or you might not.

#12 Kirby's Dream Land
The very first Kirby game, the era when Kirby was white and black before he was pink. Anyways this game is short and simple, but fun. In this game you don’t have any copy abilities but you do have items like the mic, super spicy curry, and Mint Leaves. I would give this game a higher placement, but I have a reason, this game can be completed in 30 minutes or less without much effort. However, there is an EX mode where it’s like the same game except you will die faster depending on how you get hit, and some enemies are unpredictable for newcomers. I can’t say much about this game because there isn’t a lot to say. It’s a fun game but compare to the other titles, it doesn’t hold its placement very well. The games music is 8bit goodness, Green Greens and Floats Island is by far my favorite tracks in the whole game. The graphics is great as well, most GB games didn’t look too well, but Kirby isn’t one of those games.

Over all, this game is legendary, and has references in almost every new Kirby game to date. The legacy will continue in future titles as being the very first Kirby game to be created. However, please note you won’t have many options as you do in the newer games, but I’m pretty sure most people knew that. It’s a great game to pick up and go, and EX mode is for people that want a good challenge, because you will get one.
