Funny enough, my first ever tourney match was against chudat like over 3 years ago. It was so devastating haha. Olimar just makes everything so weird for Kirby. However I love how easy the Falco matchup is.

Definitely should start doing MU talks here because that would be awesome to have since it seems some of your other threads are outdated but I just finished reading Kewkkey's write ups in the match up chart thread. (Even though I probably should be paying attention in astronomy but 2 hours of stuff I alreadynread before class is boring)

Timmy, I love how happy this character is and just how adorable he is. I love his +100% get unroll from the ledge where he squishes his face against the ground. Also I'll watch your video after I get out of class.

Like there were so many parts when you were offstage I was sure you were gonna get gimped, your use of hammer, that **** combo on t0mmy's first stock game 3... I COULDN'T CONTROL IT, WAS GOING NUTS!

As for Kirby. I've said it before, but I believe all of his MUs except MK, Olimar and ICs are even or near even, Kirby doesn't solidly lose any MU except the first three I listed. Maybe HE has some 70-30s against characters like Ganon and Falcon, but they're bad so I don't care anyway. XD

Yes... I'mma learn that Falco MU cause since what everyone's been telling me, it shouldn't be THAT bad and I honestly think if it weren't for Illusion, it'd be a SOLID 60-40 MU for Kirby, so I just need to learn how to beat that move. OR just go MK for Falco cause he can just nado it.

Honestly, I love using N-air vs gimping Falco's Illusion, but that's just me.

You just have to get close enough (about a roll's length away) where he's intimidated by your presence but far enough so you can dodge/shield his illusion and grab him. The match-up just quickly shifts into either players favor once someone gets the first grab in. So GET THAT GRAB FIRST!

Timmy, that is a really great video. I mean you really came back and won 3 matches in a row and doing great! I really like your style of Kirby. You had some really cool parts.

For Wario he only has 3 real kill moves against Kirby so you need to be careful about running into them (DownB, Uair, and Fsmash). When you are fighting him, you don't want to be above Wario ever. Stick to being below him and you will have an easier time against him.

I don't believe Kirby has a GR thing on Wario though which would be great to have.

I feel the wario vs. Kirby MU is more outplaying the other person.

Kirby vs Wario is pretty much like other MU's. Have your back facing Wario is great because you have the u-tilt and B-air at your disposal. Short hopped u-airs are just as great vs an approaching Wario just like your u-tilts. U-air is pretty much like an U-tilt but only in the air AND covers a great deal of your space from above! Make sure to watch Wario's movements and figure out his weaving pattern. (Does he like to short hop F-airs and retreat? Does he like to double jump and D-air?) Making sure you stay away from being under him is key to avoiding an early stock loss. Wario's Waft is strongest at it's phase when just before fully charged (I believe). I'm not sure the time frame but (I've noticed) this is usually during the second stock battle. So he'll like to use it then to take an early stock there. So be weary of it! As far as GR, I'm pretty positive we have guaranteed U-smash/F-smash(up angled) option out of it (b-airs and u-airs too). Although, Wario can force a ground release by not mashing out of your grab. You can use that to actually get some more pummels in before throwing to refresh some moves! Also, Wario has some good gimping tools with his bike jump so don't under estimate him when he's following you off stage but it's nothing Kirby can't handle with his multiple jumps. Ummm... Yeah just avoid his KO moves at higher percents (which is pretty much 3 like J said!) and you'll do fine.

Bleh like always but I was smart enough to bring my PS3 and Wii this time around. I brought Smash with me and I'm surprised I ran into players with play it competitively. Some others are getting into it and are quickly adapting. Aside from that nothing to major. Just enjoying my port time before I head out again.

I'm in my boat right now, and I downloaded Melee onto my PC. However I didn't get to download Brawl, so once I stop at Hawaii I'll probably buy me a copy (and two more controllers).

And on a side note... My Kirby got ***** in tourney yesterday. ;_;

It's really weird cause the whole week my Kirby actually WAS playing better than my MK, but starting on Friday, my MK was playing better than my Kirby again. As for bracket... I played TC1 round 1 and he plays Diddy, so I went MK because I HATE Kirby vs Diddy. But then I played Luckay second round who I beat last time with Kirby/MK (Kirby games were closer than MK though) and he 2-stocked my Kirby game 1 with around 20%... it was RAAAAAAAAAAAPE. ;_; I went MK and had a much closer game, game 2, he won but I lost my first stock REALLY early and was bringing it back to last stock mid percent, but it's fine, Luckay got a lot better since I last played him.

But yeah, after getting ***** in Kirby vs Pit game 1 vs Luckay I didn't want to use Kirby the rest of the tourney so I just went MK and even now I'm still demoralized by it. I don't want to drop Kirby but Lie (and even Chu in the past) told me I should just main MK so... I dunno. >_<
