Today I went to a Brawl tourney. It was small, and the TOs were inexperienced. There was 20 people, including me. Long story short, I ended up running everything, I even did the brackets BY HAND (both winners and LOSERS [it was horrible]), I didn't get recognition for running the ENTIRE tourney, and I got 3rd place going all Kirby except in fun matches (I used Ike as a for-fun character WHILE in a tourney match, I did some awesome stuff, then at my last stock I purposefully jumped offstage and sideB'd away simply because a spectator dared me to. I won the set anyway).

Brackets by hand... Good thing I know how to do them, or else the tourney would have been a huge mess.

I'll be writing up like 5+ MU summaries soon, since the MMORPG that's got me hooked is gonna go through a MAJOR patch (It's now WoW, but our MAJOR patch is the same thing as WoW's and is happening on the same day as well).

I just wanted to say this... I love using Kirby. A single read usually means **** on opponents, and that makes me very, very happy. :D Kirby 2gud! Too bad we don't have a (spammable) projectile, or we'd be almost top tier, maybe even top tier, no joke.

Oh, and at the tourney I ran (against my will), I powershielded a Falcon Punch with Kirby on purpose during a for-fun tourney match (opponent knew he was gonna lose, so he just winged it). Get at me!


And to the Kirby community: I'm proud of you guys. I barely ever give out infractions to any Kirby community people, hell I barely ever warn anyone, because everyone is so well-behaved. Twinkie and me both agree that this is one good community, and I think you guys are THE most well-behaved character board around! Just wanted to tell you guys that.

@ T-nuts: It's been a while! And we actually went UP this time. We were #16 before, and now we're #15! That's a decent step ahead for us. I'm complaining about ZSS in high tier, but she'll go back down soon enough.

Haha well 1 spot is better than nothing. although i am still a little disappointed, wish kirby was a little higher than 15. Oh well, at least no one will hate on us for being cheap. any new AT's or anything for kirb? something about HUP cancelling...?

Anyway I've been playing this game with some buds lately and its still pretty fun, more fun than i remembered. thinking about getting back into the community a little but not sure if it'll happen. But if I do, it might not be as kirby unfortunately...dont get me wrong I still love the guy and he will always be a secondary for me (at least) but I kinda want to try something different. That, and I'm pretty sure Kirby's just not my best character any more.

Don't worry about me switching to metaknight or something though, im not that gay. I'll go Falco at gayest.

I just wanna say that people that main Kirby generally are an ok to good looking bunch as well. Whether good-looking is somehow correlated to our main, our board or our community is debatable and I'm sure it's probably just a coincidence.

At least we're not ugly. (I'm good lookin', Chu and YbM as well, so's Kewkky and etc., etc. done the line of Kirby mains that are tournament goers.)

You mean to kill super fast, or to play it safe and kill at the same time? ★

Also my top five best abilities are: ★

This ability has a very high power and will take out bosses within seconds. Hammer Flip is the most powerful move in the game, and will take out bosses with ease. The only con about this ability is the range, but if you can master the range, go destroy bosses in the arena.

Very high powered and a very safe ability to use, also easy to use. Just make sure you unstone at a right time and your good.

By far the best ability to kill, and keep a safe distance at the same time. Though you have to charge all the time to make great use of Plasma Canon, but you shouldn't have a problem rotating the D-Pad... unless your using DSi. ^_^;

The ability with the best shield and with a quick high damaging attack Mirror Cut, with a cool looking color. You use Mirror Body on mostly small enemies or low damage bosses and Reflect Force if you feel like you don't want to get too close.

It may not look like much of a good ability, but if you master grabbing projectiles from bosses and knowing what button to press to throw the object, you will do a lot of damage, and have invisible frames. It will take you a while to completely master.​

I am slowly being convinced that Kirby is only slightly disadvantaged against Snake, from talking to other Snake pros. I am looking at slight disadvantage, 45:55, and so are ALL of them, and it was their idea in the first place. Thoughts?

Also, thoughts on the ZSS MU? Slight disadvantage, or solid disadvantage (not large)?

What about Wario? I'm thinking even or slight advantage.

And Diddy? I'm thinking slight advantage.

Wario is close to even/he has slight advantage...he gets in and out fast and can kill just as well as we can but

Aggressive wario will always lose to Kirby

Snake is still 60:40 to me if the snake knows how to camp right...its slowly leaning toward 55:45 though because I Learned the matchup

ZSS? I dont really feel a disadvantagebut if it was one it would only be slight

Diddy has a slight advantage...a diddy that knows how to use bananas correctly I mean

I see... I always thought we went even or had a slight advantage on Wario, since our utilt limits his options greatly and increases our lead even more when Wario tries to do anything, even moreso on platformed stages (has ALWAYS worked for me, it really makes the MU feel easy, only thing that changes it is his downB). And as for Diddy, I always thought it was a slight advantage for us since we can aircamp him at a certain height while he has a banana in his hand and he can't do anything except try and guess when we'll come down on his shield (has always worked for me).

I used to feel Snake was 45:55 before, but then everyone at the Kirby boards tried hard to convince me it was 40:60 and succeeded. I still personally feel as if we don't have it that bad, I tend to do better as Kirby against Snakes than other people do apparently.

Wonder what JoWii and other tourney-goers think...
