We also played bughouse, which is a chess variant where you play with 4 people in teams of two. You sit next to your partner, and each of you is playing a game (one of you has white, one has black). When you capture an opponent's piece, you pass it to your partner. Instead of moving a piece, you can drop one in on your turn that your partner's given to you. Since you have 5 minutes to play your games out, and because of the new movement possibilities, it's always a quick attack on your opponent's king, and it's not uncommon to see all kinds of sacrifices to get your partner a piece, or see a king being chased around the center of the board. The counselors chose our partners, and I was partnered with an 8-year-old who'd never played it before (since I have lots of experience with bughouse). It ended up with me telling him what to do for almost every move, but we managed to come in first place and only lose 1 game of 8 (again, not to brag, but mostly because I was better than everyone else).

I get home tomorrow night. I'll start posting more then...bye, Kirbies! :D

Still bragging, but good ****. Bragging/trashtalking is okay when you've earned it IMO. Adds to the competitive aspect, so long as it's all in good fun and not to actively hurt the opponent.

Also, Bughouse is the ****. It's so much fun XD

Kirby can TOTALLY beat MK

Has anyone here heard of that MK? I haven't, but I don't pay a ton of attention.
Anyway, he didn't seem that amazing, and didn't DI the 2008 combo, but he won :/
I'm actually afraid to count the number of Fsmashes MK does

Dude what? Tear Bear is amazing. He placed really high at MLG Orlando and is a Wifi champ. Forget what state he liv es in, but he pretty much dominates there.

well he showed me that Fsmash is as abusable as I've always suspected, and he needs to SDI the fthrow->uair combo so it only does 18 instead of 38 :\

Yeah. Not sure why, but a lot of players still don't SDI that for some reason. I've started using it again because it seems to work a lot more often than it should.

It seems he keeps getting better as he keeps playing which is pretty remarkable since many players hit a plateau once they get to that level; last time I saw him it looked like he's not slowing down.

I also remember when I used to play ADHD on wifi all the time before he became well-known... I had no idea how to play Diddy then (and hell, I still don't -_-) and got ***** all the time, and began hating that character more and more... didn't know at the time that he was pretty much the best there is, or soon to be the best.

We just had an upset here in LBR4. 55th seed Stingers R.O.B.) has defeated 9th seed Tearbear (MK), who was sent to Losers yesterday after a disappointing Round 1.
In Game 1, Tearbear won on Halberd with a one-stock, 40%. Stingers then came back and took Game 2 on Smashville with a one-stock, 147%, and then took the set in Game 3 on Battlefield with a one-stock, 157%.
