I find the Diddy matchup to be easier than our disadvantages... And Fox? Well, you're not supposed to rush him down, you're just supposed to sit there waiting for him to even think of DARING to get closer, and once he does, he's doomed to lots of damage and danger of getting gimped.

I just figured out how annoying fighting a Toon Link can be.
Yes. Lol, yes indeed. Having to follow Sheikant EVERYWHERE and predict everything he's gonna do gets tedious at times, especially when I have to be fast with my fingers so as to avoid all possible damage. I oftentimes miss my shield/powershield/airdodge/rolls/spotdodges by very few frames and get punished because of it, and when you sum up all the damage from all the punishes, it's not a nice disadvantage to have... It's mostly just me and my lack of playing though, but definitely shows that TL can **** up Kirby good at times with his camping.

My Meta Knight is better than my Kirby. *Gets invited over to the MK boards*

everyone's meta knight is better then their everything
Not entirely true.
I picked up Kirby on Wednesday, and even still, MK is one of my worst characters, even worse than my Ike x___x

Edit:
impossible mk is the easiest character to use in the game
If your playing DSmash and Neutral B, then yes, he is, but your doing it wrong.

Jigglypuff, Ike and Kirby would like to have a talk with you...

Seriously though, no. Easiest to spam with, maybe. Has the most tools to deal with any given situation? Hell yes. Easiest to pick up and play competitively? No. I love people who think that way though, because scrub MKs are easy wins.

By the way, while I suck on Wifi and odds are I'll never play most of you, I'm gonna start adding you guys.

They only had time for 1 match so that was it for loser's finals.

This. Easiest to pick up character is more of a personal thing imo.

Like I said, you're just supposed to be sitting there waiting for Fox to get closer. Sitting there isn't the same thing as "run up to him and bair", it's more along the lines of "stay your ground, and utilt everything he tries while ducking under lasers and staying mid-range to pressure him with your presence". Did you see what happened during that match? Whenever Chu tried bairing Fox out of his laser camping, Fox would capitalize and punish his afterlag, but when he stayed on the ground, everything Fox tried besides lasers would get beaten by Kirby's utilt and grounded moves.

So, I still get to say Fox is gonna get ***** if you're standing your ground waiting for him to get closer. :O

That was LuigiMAX, back at summer '09. Hope no one disses him or anything, he's improved a lot and he's the one who taught us all the MK MU and helped me impress when I was in USA. :p

Easiest to pick up is a personal thing to an extent, but it's no secret that some characters are easier to play than others. Take ICs, Peach, Link or Diddy, for example, who all have fairly high learning curves.

I personally believe that Mario's the easiest to master, imo.

Maybe I still have my mind set in Melee, because Mario was my main there<3.
Or, more than likely, I'm willing to bet you're playing Mario wrong. He has no outstanding features, and as such requires a lot of practice to learn to use all of his tools, not to mention he has some pretty **** MUs.

My guess is more like you play MK the way you play Kirby, derp.

Seriously, I see so many Kirby players do nothing more than camp with bair and whatnot, and it makes my eyes bleed. If you're gonna rely on nothing more than sheer defense with a few attacks, why not play MK so you have extra range?

The man has a point, and if sheer defense is the way you want to play, then grounded SL is the way to go.

Perhaps I was making a joke about how Meta Knight is better than Kirby (though not easier to learn, given all the people who MUST HAVE KNOW MK MATCHUP and other stuff). But saying "Attention: I am making a joke" and even [joke] tags around it make it less funny.

@rest of post: Yes.

Yeah most of that post wasn't really aimed too heavily at you, just saying. I mean, most people are 'better at Brawl than Melee', ie, "hey Brawl takes very little tech skill to feel comfortable in."

Yea, that's true. I'm not sure Brawl even has anything as "hard" as wavedashing (takes as much good timing for moving your fingers).

Ehhh... Yes and no. I mean, as a whole yes, but things like Cape Teleport and Chain Jacketing require stricter timing than anything in Melee to my knowledge. However, in general, yeah, Melee is ridiculouslyu harder tech-skill wise.

Brawl defiiinitely doesn't require the amount of dexterity melee does in geberal, now I don't completely believe it 'takes no skill', but it sure as hell takes less practice than Melee does. But hey Brawl has a less ****ty Kirby, derp.
