It's a simple one-up contest. The basis of these type of things are situations like...
Guy 1: 'Dood, one time I jumped 3 feet in the air!'
Guy 2: 'Dood, I can jump 3 and a half feet, watch me!'
Guy 3: 'If I wasn't lazy I would totally beat you at jumping!'
Guy 1: 'No way Dood'
Etc...
Shows up usually in childhood playground type scenarios, and continues on into teenage life and (apparently) adulthood. Usually seen in high school years as masculinity//alpha-ness (smarts, strength, looks, w/e) for guys and something else for girls, I have no idea. Not always verbal, in theory extremely less verbal for females after elementary school.
So yes, it is in nature a competitive event, although it serves double as a way for people to seek help//condolence about events in their life they find no way to bring up otherwise. But if it was simply that, then we would only condole the first person to bring it up, and it would be more normal.
This is a natural part of any community of people. I can't see any logical reason we should remove it.

No it isn't. And yeah, you do get ignored and that is bad. I would help but I am stuck here. Although, you usually get someone who will be like 'yo we need to do this' and then people do something maybe.

I don't recall lying to you, being that I don't recall what we even talked about. If I had avoided any truth it would have been that I wasn't comfortable saying something of that magnitude to someone I don't know so well. But now I don't care about stuff like that, since it was a while ago.

I want to have discretion here, but it was the only topic related to what I quoted that we talked about on our way to whatever the last phoenix i attended was.
It really depends on the topic. If you asked something really awkward like SKidd style then I'm not sure how I'd answer but if it were any regular topic I'm sure I could find a way to address you.

LOOOOOL. Yeah give ICs 2nd(?) longest wave dash in the game and a pseudo jab to grab combo, and this means it's hard to land a grab? The **** man
