They made Kirby like he was in 64 and couldn't balance his up tilt.

Meta Knight could not be balanced as it is impossible. srs

Once they took out Meta Knight they figured Diddy would take over the meta game and they didn't want to see a whole bunch of Diddy dittos.

So they took him out.

Kirby is last because of his Copy ability, they aren't sure what to do with MK cause him and his Dair are OP, and Diddy is just Diddy.
