Ddd overcentralizes some stages, which warrants their banning.

Simplest rules when possible.

We want to encourage newcomers to our game.
Overcentralization is noted only when it becomes to the point of 'do this or have highly barred chances of winning'.

DDD has arguments against him being THAT overcentralizing.

If we wanted newcomers in our game, we would get rid of infinites.

Infinites do not deter newcomers, believe me.

Complicated rulesets and regulations that casual players can't be half-***ed to learn deter newcomers.

How do infinites not deter newcomers?

I mean, if I was a newcomer and I played in a tourney only to get grabbed by IC's three times in a row and die, and then have the same happen to me with DDD, and then with Falco, and then with Pika.

I WOULD BE PRETTY DETERRED.

I didn't even know what the Ice Climbers' chain grab was until recently....

Show me where that has happened with a newcomer. Believe me, it doesn't.

At my first tourney, I got wrecked. However, Ben went Marth, Deap went Falco, and overall people made my tourney fun. People don't play really dumb just so they can JV 4 stock a newbie or something.

If I knew there were a bunch of dumb rules against my banana locks that I had been learning, or really complicated counterpicking systems or something, I would have plain not come to the tourney.

At my first tourney, I called Deap for EDC.

Second tourney, I had an epic DDD ditto.

If infinites were banned, that ditto would not be nearly as epic.

No. That was not my argument against that stage at all.

I am saying that overly complicated rules deter newcomers, however. I assume you're agreeing with this, then?

No. It's an opinion thing, when I come into a game the only thing that deters me are uncompetitiveness and stupidity.

You might be able to argue it based on the majority, so go ahead.

Zelda is not pleased with this thread, and her highness has told me to inform you all of this.

Arcansi, as far as Mushroomy Kingdom goes:

Diddy can combo people off-stage with bananas.
DDD can chaingrab all but 12 characters iirc off the stage.
Falco can chaingrab some characters off the stage.
Popo can single IC chaingrab some characters off the stage.
Any other character that has something similar can chaingrab a character off the stage (or combo them off the stage).

Basically, it becomes a case of "a large portion of the cast can get an instant kill from a simple thing". You're saying your entire purpose is to remove infinites and chaingrabs and stuff like that. Not only are you making them even more broken, but most of them will result in an instant loss of a stock instead of just damage.

Oh, and most importantly, Ganon is broken on that stage. Opponent has 2 stocks left? Now he has none.

Zelda doesn't know what you're talking about. A Sheikah called Sheik? Preposterous.

Good deal.

I handed out candy and just neglected to answer the door.

Or at least it seemed like it with how few people we actually got.

By the way, the "new" monthlies at Magic Stronghold need a super spiffy name. Sorry but Canada B.C. Brawl Monthlies just doesn't cut it anymore.
