A new animation for Fsmash won't make it much more useful anyway, even with a little more range it'll still be slow and punishable and will only have a set up in Dthrow or Dair or things like that.

Ja feel.

I had that happen to me, I almost made it outta pools, literally had to win a single match, however i didnt get that bad of luck againest M2K and Zero, but it was first seed ... #salt

Anyways, how do you guys feel about aerial wiz kick?
Do you think the quake needs more "oomph"?

Also, the actually aerial kick I find is useless other than to recover, as when i try and kick down with it, alot of moves beat it and it's damage output is kinda underwhelming. It's a rare day that I can use it as a mix up, get the quake and set up for a flame choke or jab.

And finally, what if it's landing lag was far less? Would that be too broken or help Ganondorfs mobility?

A hitbox that is more correct to his foot (and not at the Knee lol) + a bigger quake would make the move pretty good. Having less end lag idk? maybe that would be overkill but maybe a few frames couldn't hurt...

i think a bigger quake area would be neat, actually : O might not necessarily make it good, on its own, but that would be neat.

less end lag might be doable, but that would be a shield advantage deal more than anything, i think. it'd be really a legitimately fine line balance issue, to make it not safe on shield, but more usable on hit.

Just was watching silentdooms stream. He said Ganondorfs got many animation changes, and alluded to moveset changes too. Nothing solid, but i thought you'd all care to hear. He made it clear many are gonna be happy with the changes so there's hope for us.

In regards to aerial wizkick, I agree fully that its landing lag should be reduced, possibly heavily. My main problem is that there's too much landing lag to follow up if you hit someone with the pop up something like 95% of the time, because of this, I think that heavily reduced landlag on hit would be great, especially since it falls in line with ganons punish heavy playstyle, because let's be honest; if you get hit with aerial wizkick you deserve to lose that stock.

Yeah, i feel it's under utilized when it could be a cool new tool. I hate how it cant be landed when it's usually your fastest way to the stage, and if you try and use it, it gets beat by aerials from alot of the cast.

The hitbox on it makes no sense is the thing, it's not even on his foot, so the only time it hits someone is when they mess up, which is a problem because better players tend to not do that. At this point, hitting an opponent with the popup isn't even safe all the time, since at low percents they just get up and you're still stuck in the landing animation.

Sometimes he decides he doesn't want his foot to deal alot of damage and knockback, I can respect his decision. Silly Ganon and his boots.

So what would happen if Ganon was *gulp* good? Had this thought yesterday.

What if M2K and Zero picked him up in their arsenal for side mains? Personally idk if I should be overjoyed or a hipster about it. Plus given Ganondorfs structure as a character, idk if top tier is really a thing he can achieve.

Ganondorf's playstyle really isn't for everyone. he doesn't have a projectile to force reactions, and he doesn't have the high mobility to weave in and out of his opponent's space. even if ganondorf became good, I don't picture Zero and M2K picking him up, he doesn't seem to suit their style.

He's still very similar to his Brawl counerpart even though he got some buffs and nerfs (no autocancel on Dair anymore :/). His Fair is the saddest part though, it looks like it lost a ****meter of range.

Yeah, i've been playing around with him for a few days now, the only buff that i've really noticed is the Air Down-B hitbox has been shifted to his foot.

shame we didn't get the same treatment as bowser :(

Edit: But yeah, no D-air auto cancels, B-air feels like it's a little slower and the hitbox is higher off the ground, same for airial flame choke (hitbox). Fair is tiny but still at least it hits hard. Since there's no armor on grabs anymore, flame choke is naturally a little worse.

It's like: "hey, Ganon is the worst character in the game... I know what he needs *pause for effect* NERFS!

Edit 2: Oh, and they fixed Ganocide So the oponent dies a moment before ganon now. so no more sudden deaths. i guess that counts as a buff...

I dont get why they gave the option of being able to tech out of the flame choke, id understand if he got buffed in other areas, but that doesnt seem to be the case

We always got PM .... and the Wii U version

Seriously I'm the only one who thinks the Wii U version will be balanced differently. I feel like it will be to mess with us.

EDIT: I'm feeling that Wii U won't be EXACTLY the same as 3DS in terms of balance, maybe a few percents, knockback percents, hitboxes etc. will be different due to time or not being able to match? Who knows

Hello Ganon boards. Ive been playing Ganon since I was a child with melee and now I play him in PM and smash4 for 3ds. I started to get into tournaments back in april and I was terrible I lost almost always and i didnt even make it out of pools at Zenith i went 1-3. But from playing people and going to locals ive learned alot and i still have more to learn now that im seeing more of Ganon's potential in PM. Mostly from seeing videos of Vex. PM is my main game now and im striving to harness the triforce of power.

Good luck fellow Ganon brother (or sister lol)!

As you most likely heard/seen Ganon is expecting to have a nice amount of changes/buffs coming in the next PM update hopefully those would help Ganon mains have an easier time in tournament and we'll get to see more Ganon players and with that help develops our Meta game even further.

Interjecting but Ganon in Smash 4 feels a lot better IMO than Brawl Ganon. System mechanics favor him more (ledgesteal sets up into Bair like smooth butter), Ftilt KILLS and is faster. It's easy to see some downgrades but he has, in general IMO, improved.

I feel like Ganondorf says alot about who we are as people:

We play Ganondorf because we don't like the easy way out, we find a way to make do with the challenge and don't mind failing to acheive that.

We like commitment. We like taking risks even if they ruin us, but they help us learn. You wanna Side B off ledge? You better be ready to handle the problems if you miss it. But that's the thrill of Ganondorf

We like utterly crushing our opponents into a pulp. We like the satisfaction of knowing we made a fool out of someone and will stop at nothing until they are a mere shaking figure on the other side of the stage.

We like boots. Whether that be construction, style or Uggs, we walk the walk and stomp the stomp.

Amen brother, we are the Ganondorf unit. We will always play him and respect his presence, no matter how bad he is! Ganon requires extensive reads and a good grasp on your opponent, but isn't it satisfying to utterly dissect someone and know you've truly won?

Kailex, the fact of the matter is we don't stand a chance against upper tiers and usually can be exploited by smarter, more experienced players. Personally, I want tools so Ganon can live long instead of being figured out and unviable a couple years down the road.

There's easy way out, then there's no way out lol the feeling of helplessness of being ragdolled by Ivysaur and her projectiles are enough for me to see Ganon needs tools
