Besides, if you want a real original Ganon that fits the canon then you have to rethink his entire moveset and seriously the triforce mod doesn't do that, all it does is give Ganon 3 midlly canon movesets. If itreally wanted to be relevant it should make a mix of all of Ganon's canon moves, get rid of all the redundant and irrelevant stuff (Ike Nair pls go) and combine them all into one single moveset while making sure his playstyle doesn't become a gameandwatchesque mess.

I guess it would make a fun brainstorming session.

I actually do like the magic on his fist thing, what I don't like that is most of his moves are a copy of Falcons moves. Just look at Fist mode only from the latest version of the Triforce mod It keeps the same style of fist+magic but makes it much more unique and
interesting. Change F smash and Neutral B and you got a unique looking move set that plays virtually the same if not better!

And I think a sword stance that changes 5-6 moves like Samus' Ice beam stance would be great to have and would anyone really be against more options.

I was just having a discussion on the Ganon social boards with an opinion that differs than yours, and than you don't like me?

And in all seriousness I actually love different opinions (yours included) it teaches me others point of view and their train of though and allows me to look at things from a completely different angle and broadens my way of thinking. And besides I was just "what if"-ing, no need to take it more serious than just that.

I also don't see why we shouldn't be able to get along even with different opinions, my best freinds and I argue about crap all the time.

So far, my luck at big tournaments has generally been amazing. It's very rare that I encounter skilled players of these characters before top 32. Zenith was really the only place I had to face good Nesses and Links before top 32. We'll see what happens. I'm probably going to grind out my perfect PSing game this week. Being able to approach with a perfect PS'd projectile is quite amazing.

Edit: ALTHOUGH - big house has over 300 entrants for PM, so it is definitely more likely that I'll run into someone who actually plays the above characters pretty well before top 32 than past big tournaments. crossing my fingers haha

And yeah I hope for new Fsmash animation, and since they are modifying his Bair and Up tilt as well I'm hopeful for all new animation for his smash attacks hopefully with better hit-boxes included

Whenever they demo the character people are going to flip. Easily the most revamped/ touched up character currently in 3.5

From the Reddit threads on the topic. When someone suggested, "It seems to me like it's going to be a shorter (probably weaker) warlock punch that also reflects projectiles. My guess is faster than they came," Gez replied, "nup" which is not particularly helpful, but there you go.

Probably shouldn't share anything just because the current iteration could end up not reflecting what gets released and then things would be silly. What I probably can say is that the changes may or may not have been something suggested for Ganon on here earlier. That happens a lot in the builds but this change has been in the dev build for a while and seems like it's staying. I'm sorry about not being able to say much

I know the hype is killing me feeling. It's freaking brutal. The fact that the new patch probably doesn't come out for a while makes it worse. I know it blows, and I'm sorry.

One more thing to kick on that probly won't get me in trouble I hope is that Ganondorf is the most substantially adjusted character in 3.5 thus far. No other character has nearly as many changes/ adjustments.

What if this new back fist is something very new and unique, what if it's an hybrid of an Fsmash + a Counter. This is completely farfetched but I thought it was cool so hear me out;

Normally it function as a completely standard Fsmash, Ganon throws the move out we get a little darkness effect around his hand, he hits the opponent, the foe flies sideways, the end.

But! Before the Fsmash's hitbox come out Ganon has super armor and if he gets hit by any attack the power and size of the hitbox get bigger (signified by increased darkness effect around the fist). depending on the strength of the move that hit Ganon the larger and more powerful the Fsmash becomes.

If Ganon charges the Fsmash the strength and size increases gradually over time until it cannot be held any longer. But a full charged Fsmash isn't as strong as if Ganon got the "counter".

Why would you even want that though. Warlock Punch is cool, but super useless. Replacing it with something more utility would be the realness.

His current fsmash isn't great, but it's fine. It works, it's powerful, and you can actually pull it off fairly reliably with a read. Warlock punch... not so much. It's powerful, but that's about it.

Fsmash is freakin useless.
Slow as balls, bad range and crappy trajectory.

I only ever use it by accident if I mess up an ftilt or a drop through platform aerial. Even if I land it when that happens, I still think "I would've rather landed an ftilt/aerial".

It's mainly the trajectory that's the problem though, it deals enough knockback that it'd be potent if it sent horizontally but at that vertical angle it just doesn't kill.
I mean obviously it can but that's usually due to a combination of really high percents, bad DI and/or low ceiling. It'd be so much more useful if it just hit horizontally instead.
