What was the vid? Or was it silly?
My post? It was the Turbo Mode contest results. They had to reupload the video, I edited my post.

Btw you were at Project TO yesterday, right? Nice job beating Pich, he's pretty good. I've played him on netplay and I know I can't beat him.

Lol WOW SOMEONE RECOGNIZED THAT? Wait were you there? What's yo tag?

Pich was the Marth/Mario right? It was tough man, especially against Marth. But I got to 3rd match, he switched to Mario and went Green Hill Zone. I managed to get a stock off him first then with me being a stock up I didn't wanna blow it, and he didn't want to approach. It turned to about 3-4 minutes of pill camping and me dodging them. Got hits in there off of reads and so did he but good lord I had to have the utmost patience :0 Constant mental reminders (DONT WIZ KICK DONT WIZ KICK DONT FAIR DONT NAIR DO NOT) .

Suffice to say, that was an example of how Ganondorf needs to be improved, If i was a stock down then I would have lost because approaching is a sin against Mario.

Marths totaled me this tourney too D: like how even.

Nah I wasn't there, from Quebec though so was following the tournament (Montreal > Toronto confirmed :p). Noticed the name in the challonge and recalled you having posted here, checked on here and saw on your profile that you're from Ontario so figured it was you.

Never seen him play Mario but yeah he plays Marth, white Marth iirc. **** both those characters though lol.

Fer real, I had to play so many Marths and an Ivy in pools I wanted to cry ...

I did face Holy, that was a nightmare lol but I got a stock off him, by that point though I was discouraged. I feel I played better in bracket however.

3.5 plz halp

Yeah Mario and Marth are tough match ups! Mario more-so for me. I feel like on Marth I can at least react and pull off combos off a punish but Mario seems to escape (DI) everything Ganon does quite easily, Not to mention his shield pressure with run attack and down smash is insane on Ganon's shield. And those god damned fireballs/pills they are the worst!!!

Most of the time when playing Mario I just give up and use Link.

I've found you can pretty easily punish the dash attack on shield with up-B, I noticed that when my playing partner (mains mario and diddy) started spamming it after he saw ganon's meat hooks are to high to shield grab him out of it. <.<

Mario is alot of patience I find, and that goes beyond pill campers lol. You really have to captialize on his screw ups but it's indeed an unbalanced match in his favor. EDIT: I prefer the Mario over Marth for some reason. Maybe I'm jealous of Marths grab range? Who knows.

But thats a nifty technique I've never heard, I should practice Up+B OoS then.

I find I'm having more success playing the patient Ganon rather than the total aggro one. Alot of people are like "wow, I've never faced a Ganon like you before" and surprisingly i've yielded better (key word here is better) results.

Side note - does anyone like the Fox matchup? As tough as he is, I enjoy it when I can get in. Maybe it's also that I know what to watch out for and I don't feel that cheated when dying ... except maybe on Up-Smash :/

Captain Perfectionist here to tell you that the correct term is waveland :awesome:

But, yes. Those are amazing. And so is continuously wavelanding off the same edge repeatedly until your opponent tries to recover and then thunder stomping their pitiful attempt to save their puny life.

It's probably charge, which I imagine will look badass cause they'd totally better slap some dark flame effects on it and make it look fantastic. Also it looks a bit faster than the elbow at least in terms of how it comes out. I really hope so lol, a better FSmash is a weird idea but I can see it doing something.

Also with the imminent recovery nerfs going along through the game I can imagine Ganondorf's edgeguarding will be a lot better by proxy as it'll be a bit easier to do. All steps to ensure that conquering foes will be that much more satisfying.

also sh-bair-double jump-bair is a lot of fun.

or just double jump-[aerial] in general is fun. not always the most useful, but it's a good tool to keep ready. i thiiiiiiink you can do sh-bair-flame choke, but if you can the timing is super tight.

full hop-fair into other aerials or wl is fun, but it only really works against taller characters, in my experience : / otherwise the fair's bottom hitbox just floats pretty safely over their heads : /

The few time Ganons in this, he looks great.

Bair looks mighty in action, and at around 1:00 he does a bair waveland to ... final smash. BUT point is it looks like if he turned he could grab. Maybe reading too into it?

You guys see anything?

EDIT: He grabs once ... but nothing fancy or new looking. Maybe this is same Ganon but different bair lol

Yeah I think you are right.
And I'm actually hoping all his moves that are identical or too similar to falcon get changed at least asthetically. Like they did with the Bair and (maybe) Fsmash.
Here's hoping for unique (looking?);
-Upsmash
-Dsmash
-Nair
-Uair
-grab animation + pummel
-his grab animation during Up B.
-throw animations (maybe even a new throw!)
-and finally a new N-B, or they just make Warlock Punch useful some how.

Yeah everything looks the same except the Bair, the game play looked 3.0 to me...

Got 9th at a weekly today, pretty happy with that.
Also landed a Warlock Punch offstage against the guy who I just barely missed one on the other day.
