Laggy TVs, gauntlet. I got 9th, lost to this guy in brackets. Didn't have hacks on, couldn't save matches more than 3 mins long. Noticing a pattern with these sentences, oh well. See a klaw/opportunity I didn't capitalize on too well? I do too. I would have made all of them too if the TVs weren't too bad.

They weren't that bad though, could have been worse; could have been WiFi.

check it:

Learned a lot about the Fox MU.

-trying to go hard and shrug off DAirs is such a STUPID idea. I got ****ed up so bad by that idea.
-FAir is annoying, and I need to SDI a lot better next time.
-there was one match where I missed the fthrow tech to the ground and he was blastering me, my reflexes or w/e must have had a brain fart. it was on FD, that same match where he kinda choked. You'll see why lol. He got too delirious for the kill.

He's a pretty good NY Fox. Not as good as Rookie was, but Rookie wasn't there, and he was the only Fox, and I'm not sure if Rookie uses Fox anymore anyway.

Also if you ask about my pivot grabbing, which I love to do so much...they all became dash attacks in the one match we had before we started saving stuff. I pivot grabbed his DAir once or twice, but I decided to stop going for the risks since they all became DA's.

edit: got some up vs. Will as well. New York's best Donkey Kong and probably the best DK on the EC as well (barring Cable dispute)

I got *****. No other word can explain it. I played terribly; I didn't know how to handle DK (well now I do, but at the moment of playing him idk) and he just overwhelmed me in skill.

I wasn't even recovering correctly. When he came offstage my instinct just told me to Up-B and I panicked and got spiked. Oh well.

Oh well. I got it next time, no sweat. And I do appreciate playing him, because playing him made me understand more about myself and how I use Bowser. You gotta get ***** sometimes to get up higher, right? No worries.

Yo Limit do you mind if I submit match 2 against Will to the "best vids of each character" thread? I know it's a friendly but I thought it was pretty good and we could use the rep.

As for the Fox vids yeah that needed more SDI and he should have stopped trying to drill your shield, his last stock in match 4 was painful to watch.

Yeah, he really choked badly. Lol we had huge brain farts that game.

And sure, you can submit it. I have absolutely no problem haha.

My children are getting better, it makes me very happy!

Although, I'll tell you what I tell the Ganon's, these are just friendlies, good stuff on the second game regardless though, I see the obvious improvement.

Yeah I know. They were friendlies, which means if I ever play him for something on the line like placing or money, it'll be a lot more serious. I just have to come back harder next time because I personally wasn't satisfied with how I played. I only beat him on FD whenever we went there. Every stage that had a platform he ***** me on -_-

Oh well. I got this 8D

Thank you, I appreciate that. I just really try to do all that I can when I have the time to play Brawl.

This school thing is a pain because I can't tend to Smash, but it'll give me a very very promising future, so I guess it's a fair trade. Just 2 more years and then I'll be active in this thing...if it still exists :l

Limit, I'll watch your matches later this week. I've been getting my apartment furnished for the past three days. XD

I've got two videos up against typh's PT. There's a handful more, but there's been some technical difficulties, so it'll take just a little longer for the rest of them.

Zigsta (Bowser) vs. typh (PT)
Zigsta (Bowser) vs. typh (PT) 2

I've also got a bunch of matches against JNig's Wario and a Mississippi Mario on the way.

Awwwww. Those vids made me sad. I personally get excited when Ivysaur comes out. He's so easy to ground release chain grab, I don't mind if I miss a chance to hit him when he jump breaks.

Do you want these critiqued? Or are you just putting them up?

I guess if there's a matchup Zigsta can see what's wrong for himself it's the PT one lol.

Koopa knows I know very very little about PT.

They're fairly silly, so I suppose not, haha.

Unless people really want to, of course.

I've got actual super serious ones coming soon.

Just watched your videos, Limit.

I love the 48% Klaw KO against the Fox on Delfino, haha.

Watch your Klawhopping. Against Fox, you hops got punished by grabs.

Digging the backthrow to Firebreath--I remember Flayl recommending that tactic not too long ago!

Against DK, I personally prefer to just give him the ledge. His up B's silly. Typically the only attack I'll use if he's trying to recover if Firebreath, with the rare fair or bair if I see a clear shot.

You tried to grab Will a lot when he used his ledgehopped up B on Yoshi's--that's a major no-no. His invincibly there is goofy. Just give him space or use Firebreath.

I used to main Bowser a long time ago and post here. I got a name change. I was TurkeyWonder on the boards, if any of you remember me. Prob not though lol.

I still use Bowser for Low tier tournies and work on him from time to time. Bowser da bess.
Great job, dude. :D I remembered you, by the way. :p Not really much to critique besides the obvious. Aerial DownB on stage is bad and all that. Top notch playing I thought.

Jay, collapse that.

I saw those yesterday, KK. :) I'll post comments in a few days--on break in my film class right now, haha.

Just a bit of comments for now, KK:

Watch your airdodges. In game 1 against Falco, you dodged into a fsmash and an upsmash back to back.

Absolutely LOVE your grabbing Falco out of his up B in game 2 for the GR Firebreath to edgehog. So much ****. :)

Stroumbert had a habit of spotdodging as you Klawed--if you see someone doing this a lot, mix up some pivot grabs and/or fsmashes!

Don't forget Firebreath's great against spacies. Bthrow to Firebreath is handy.

Also, don't be afraid to platform camp Falco until you're out of CG percents.

MrEh, you should post your recent videos! I know you have them! :p

The fire actually could have helped falco recover, KK, next time you grab falco out of his second jump, just grab release him then edgehog, he can't make it back.

I wish I recorded those sets with DEHF...

Honestly, the dude essentially lived with me for like a week, and we never recorded a set. lol
That's like having a hotel room next to Ozzy and never getting a picture of you guys together.

Here are some serious friendlies at a recent gathering Anaky held at his place. Some universal things I need to work on include my reaction time, grab release followup's and well timed air-dodges, because right now I refuse to air dodge. I've taken to angling FTilt's up to stop aerial approaches, I believe I may be overusing it though.

vs Marth. Lost all matches:

Game 1 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZpDEek9kE58
Game 2 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V-zbJTD1u78
Game 3 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Abn1kooCt_8

I would really like some help with this one, please. I do not like this guy at all. He frustrates me. I can't breath in this matchup, it feels like every time i make any sudden movements i get a bloody aerial in my face. Though I'm aware of the general do's and don'ts, I don't have much hands-on experience with Marth and so i find myself being overly reliant on FTilt's and SideB's.

vs Diddy. Lost all matches:

Game 1 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dAjI78J8tX0
Game 2 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pg9RwNhhxQo
Game 3 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wg3wWJdqCOQ

I simply did not play well enough, that's all there is tot it. Made numerous amateurish mistakes - such as passing him the banana when it was not called for - and fell for the same old tricks, again and again. I am very disappointed in my performance here, especially seeing as I actually rather enjoy the Diddy matchup.

vs Luigi. Won two, lost one match.

Game 1 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wzLRPnk-0Iw
Game 2 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ryrul1getTc
Game 3 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V5EhyG3dorY

I seem to perform OK. He switches between two distinct styles, fireball camp and combo's, the latter of which is started by a grab, jab, or both. I noticed that I allowed him in more often then not by letting him roll behind me, so i have to work on punishing the rolls more.
Also, you may all notice he frequently jabs me once when he gets in before starting a string of attacks. People have started doing this to me more frequently and it's been pissing me off, so in answer to this I've been trying to teach myself to subconsciously DI all jabs up and double jump away to avoid a string. At first i contemplated simply DI-ing away from the opponent, but after a bit of testing i noticed that Bowser is so big, that sometimes it doesn't get me far enough away from the opponent depending on where they hit me. Do you guys think i should pursue this? skip to around 2:02 of Match 3 to get the gist of what I'm talking about here.

Much appreciated guys.

I can't give you an indepth critique right now but it seems you have a bad case of the "auto-pilot"-itis, where you do stuff for the sake of doing something even though it's not a good time to do it.

Ledge jump FAir, platform drop FAir, klaw jumping on platforms. You got way too reckless with that stuff.

Also when you play Bowser, every time you get hit your priority should be to avoid getting hit again, not trying to hit back. Focus more on trying to escape next time you get hit by a MArth that tries to combo you.

this is a tricky matchup but overall one my favorites. i have yet to face a high level marth but all my marth opponents have been ranked in their respective states lol. for me its a waiting game. Bowzer cant really approach and the sky belongs to Marth. U will probably be doing a lot of running away in this matchup. bowser just cant compete with marth. I like this matchup because it favors my playstyle. Sit there patiently and wait for an opening. The more skilled the marth is the longer u will have to wait for an oppening. U can speed this process up by watching and studying your opponent. Its a pretty difficult thing to do in the heat of the moment but thats how i manage. By now u probably have a good idea of what works and what doesnt. Learn to adapt. Marth is like mk, u just gotta wait for your oppening. Or at least thats how i like my bowser. Bowser is much too slow to be played like a high tier character. Study, adapt, punish-Bowzer

Ixis I told you about that before. Like Flayl said, he calls it auto-piloting, I just call it being fancy.

I feel that you can be successful in a game like this if you just use the fundamentals. I mean, if flashy is your style (I remember you saying you can't sit still or something), then I can't change you; but at what point will you reconsider? It's not there yet, but sometimes I feel you're getting hurt more by "moving around" when if you just stood still, it would have not only benefited you, but you'd have more time to think things through.

I'm just going off of what Flayl said, I'm watching the videos now.

K well...against the Marth MU, honestly all you need to do is, like MrEh said, punch anything Marth does in the air and you should be fine. Play a hit/run tactic vs him. You don't have to constantly be in his face or close range. Just sit still. :\

A quick question Zig or BK. The OP of this thread needs a major revamp, would you guys like me to do it? I could clear out older videos and run back through this thread for about 10-20 pages or so and add any additions that may be seen as relevant.

If you don't want me to do it, then it's a request :3.
