I like Grim's summary. Pretty much sums up the bunch of other little things I didn't mention much of in my post. And just to further clarify/add to his "cautious" part near the end of his post. IMO if you lose that perfect spacing don't let Zelda pressure you/risk actually getting hit. Anytime you think you are going to even possibly get hit just float away or roll backwards and reset the situation. At worst you momentarily lose stage control and retreat to the safety of our friend the ledge. Stage control is something Zelda can't hold onto very well in the first place. She can "hold" a tiny area very well like a fortress, but not the whole stage. Oh and if you chose to roll backwards, don't make it a habit. It's pretty much safe but not if you keep doing it.
