Swearing is a concept that shouldn't even exist. I think saying something like "you're stupid and you should stop talking, because everything you say is useless" is universally more offensive than "**** you". '**** you' doesn't even mean anything.
And I think it's stupid to punish people for saying "what the ****" (assuming they censor dodge) but not for saying "what the hell", "what the heck" or "wtf". They all mean the same thing and none of them are going to offend anybody.

Intention vs Perception. I would say this to someone who thinks like me if I thought it was true, because I know that I myself wouldn't take it bad unless I thought the person saying it wasn't meaning it truthfully.
This is more or less true, but it's something you should ask the mods about and it doesn't defend breaking the rules because they're wrong.
I mean, is that how we change laws in real life? Do we have gays demand to get married to change same-sex marriage laws? Do we have illegal abortion start becoming more public to get abortion laws changed?
