If Roy was downloadable would u still main Ike?

Well...what if Nintendo actually does make the Forbidden 7 downloadable
That means Roy would be back
My question is...would u still main Ike with Roy in the game?
I personally would use them both, because Roy is jus a slower yet slightly stronger version of Marth and I used him in melee....and Ike is one of my favorite characters...he's a beast!!!

Eh, nothing is stopping me from trying out Roy (but the odds of that happening are none, Nintendo is just going to let Brawl die those *******s.), haven't played too much Melee, so depending on how he felt in Brawl would decide wather I would seriously pick him up or not.

With how Brawl's physics are, I think Roy would be a better character here than he was in Melee, so yeah, I'd main him while I'd (probably) drop Link. Ike and Mario stays though.

Roy had basically nothing over Marth in Melee. He was lighter, slower, and had a harder time KOing opponents as opposed to Marth. He also had a very strange sweetspot that was less practical than Marth's sweetspot. Ike's a better character because he actually has advantages over Marth.

Well, to be fair, with all the ATs in Melee, Roy was actually faster than Marth (He had a hellishly good SHFFL), but yeah, his sweetspot was quite strange for his moveset.

It would depend on if Roy matches my playstyle. In Melee he did but he may be different in Brawl. If he did match my style, he would probably be a secondary.

10-12 frame fsmash with what would have a bigger hitbox for the sweet spot?

Well, gee, I don't know since they'd probably change him drastically as they tried to reduce how clone-y the clone-ish characters were, not to mention that he's a clone of a character that was changed drastically. Without hands-on experience, it's impossible to say.

Besides the fact it's IMPOSSIBLE because there isn't enough data on the disk for it to be downloadable, and Brawl is not meant to accept DLC, and there for never will accept DLC, no. Besides the fact he's the worse Lord in FE, he would be a weaker, slower, heavier version of Marth, with less range, and none of the things that works for Ike or Marth.

I wouldnt drop Ike, but I would pick up Roy and make him my new secondary. I loved playing Roy in Melee even though he wasn't the greatest characters, I liked his combos and style a lot.

If anything, I would probably have Roy as my third along side Marth. Yeah I miss and him and all, but it's like meeting up with a friend 7yrs after abandoning him and expecting everything to be alright

And besides, Marth was the real clone, just with heightened skills and abilities (Like what my friend told me happened between Luke and Asch in ToA)

Roy doesn't even get an honorable mention in the game. Mewtwo, Toon Zelda, Plusle/Minun/Pichu, etc all got their own trophies. What does Roy have? NOTHING.

If Roy was in Brawl, I would believe they would stress a stronger and faster ground-Ike game while having very very poor aerials. His aerials were pretty garbage in Melee even if he did SHFFL'd like a maniac.

Ike is technically the most overpowered FE character and he isn't broken. So meh.

Roy was put into Melee to promote the release of FE6. After hearing Roy was going to be in melee, fans demanded Marth to be put in. And all of Marth move's are a variation of Roy's since they have reasoning as to how Roy works (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TRS8PY-HtPA). Marth on the hand, they just mimiced Roy's moveset and slightly altered. It was by chance the Marth became the better character. Overall, if it wasn't for Roy, there would be no Marth nor Ike in Brawl.

Marth and Roy are some of the poorest main characters of any Fire Emblem game. Hell, the secondary characters are better than they are...

I probably would, I've learned too much with Ike to just ditch him, although I'd probably stop using Marth. If there was Lyn, though, Ike may have become one of my less used mains...
