For reference to SuSa being molested, here is my oldish blog
http://www.smashboards.com/news/blo...-with-susa-episode-1-the-foreign-sex-offender

Okay so I wasn't exactly "molested" tonight but it was still pretty freaky as hell.

My friend and I drive like a mile or two from my house (his gas tank is reading empty)when we decide to eat at Subway. We're walking into the store and just before we get in, this oldish couple walks out. The woman goes on ahead and for some reason the man (really creepy pedophile looking)stays behind at the door.

He closes the door and rolls up the sleeve of his sweatshirt to reveal a tattoo. So he starts talking to us about how he got the tat like 38 years ago or some ****, and meanwhile he has a hold of my wrist (I was afraid he was going to pull out a knife and slash it or something, and he's telling me I should get one, and even telling me where to get one. We couldn't really shove our way past him since he was blocking the door.

So he continues on for like another minute or something, and when he gets more and more excited he squeezes my wrist harder. It actually started to hurt :(.

I'm just grateful for three things:

1. We didn't run out of gas on the way home
2. He didn't cut me up
3. He didn't touch any other part of my body (like how SuSa got groped by that old lady)

lol, this reminds me of my favorite subway moment...

It was right after a home psu game, so the line was ridiculously long and everyone was drunk. Some drunk canadian was going on about how much easier it is to get pot up there, and he stumbles and almost falls over. He looks down and finds a ****ing dime bag. The whole place died laughing.

Lol. This reminds me of one time when I was in Subway, and the girl behind the counter kept asking me if I wanted something else. The conversation went like this:

Me: I'll just have lettuce and tomatoes on that.
Her: Do you want anything else?
Me: No.
*I walk over to pay for the sub and get a drink*
Her: Any ranch dressing or anything?
Me: Uhh..No.
Her: You're sure you don't want something else?
Me: YES.

So she gives me the evil eye and wraps up my sub. I'm still not sure whether she was really trying to push the Ranch dressing or was getting really desparate.

Does the clear "no drugs" rule just pass people by?

People tend to ignore rules when all they really do is inconvenience them.

LOL the first one was funny, poor Susa... well wait now, was she an old ugly hag? Cause if she was cute I'd say F the tournament go git some! But yeah.

On the second one though, W.T.F. Some old guy even looks like he's gonna put his hands on me, I'd be "promoting him to full dead." lol creepy stuff.

I don't know why westerners are so allergic to physical contact.

Well it stems from a strong held belief in protecting one's self and one's property, which in itself is derived from years of frontier conquering. There's an overlaying and very American attitude "don't tread on me" (an early motto of the US Marine Corp). This country is also fairly violent in nature, with many of its people taking advantage of one another if any sign of weakness is displayed (both in the domestic setting as well as in public). Additionally our forefathers saw fit to grant us the Bill of Rights which has over the years been adopted into the mainstream as a means to an end. Right to bear arms = right to shoot you if you're trespassing for instance.

Now all that's very general, but for specifics on me, well I grew up constantly being bullied by the bigger kids (i'm slightly shorter than average for American males at 5'8"). I learned at an early age the only way to not be treated that way was learn to fight for myself. After training in martial arts and whatnot it became less and less likely that I'd ever actually have to beat up people to gain respect. However, the thought of some old pedo-looking dude grabbing on my wrist is frankly untenable. It's just the way things are in America. You don't put your hands on someone unless you're family, friends or lovers. Strangers -never- touch one another, unless they are making acquaintance (handshake introduction) or looking for trouble.

Just to illustrate this point a bit more (this is REALLY extreme tho) there was a recent murder here where a white couple stopped and asked for directions while in a predominantly black neighborhood. The man they flagged down shot the driver in cold blood in the face, killing him. The shooter will be sentenced to life in prison, he was only 15 when he did though, so he'll be eligible for parole when he's 65. American's attitude towards physical contact is no excuse for his actions, but it just goes to show that even talking to someone you don't know may lead to disaster, let alone grabbing on his wrist and blocking the exit. The above's example at subway was frankly a very disturbing exchange that I myself would have had great trouble showing restraint in.

It actually makes me shudder thinking that's the attitude of the world's most powerful country.

The old dude touching me wouldn't be the problem in my case, it would be what he wants.

Ah yes, it's definitely unfortunate, and why America is basically seen as the world's biggest bully. We go in, pee on the carpet, and then beat up the tenant if they complain. heh. also true, grabbing someone isn't necessarily a fight starter, and an evolved person would know this, but then you have some people with serious chips on their shoulder for whatever reason (psychological or otherwise) which leads to the "shoot first ask questions later" mentality. What bugs me about his story is the prolonged physical contact, which started to hurt after a while. He seemed terrified by the incident to the point he couldn't make the man let go of him even though it was obvious he wanted him to. The whole "personal space" thing plays in big here, and is why it's become necessary to define it as such.

Though technically I won't shame America as being the only place that has its problems with touching. Take Japan's subways for instance, where (supposedly, haven't been there myself) there are signs up warning women in particular on where it's safe(r) to wait to avoid groping (doh!).

The west as a whole is pretty dumb when it comes to physical contact. In England too, "DON'T TOUCH ME" is something a lot of people say (especially teenagers).

I think it's all bull****, as though the act of being touched is like punching their mother in the face.

Also, touching =/= groping.

May I interest you guys in some mace? It solves all problems involving unwanted physical contact.

I don't know why westerners are so allergic to physical contact.
I read that in some places it's okay for dudes to hold hands in public. Until then, it never occurred to me that other places had different rules about contact. If I accidentally touch someone, I immediately apologize.

In this case, if a stranger grabbed my wrist, I would probably consider that a threat.

Well it stems from a strong held belief in protecting one's self and one's property, which in itself is derived from years of frontier conquering.
It may also have something to do with there being a lot of space and open land in certain parts of the U.S. People may just be used to having more space to themselves.

I heard that there are special trains or cars designated as "women only." Apparently, groping is a serious problem on subways there.

They don't exist!

Actually, I have no clue. I'm guessing that the overwhelming number of sex offenders are male, so the chances of having problems with a female groper is very small?

I'm sure SuSa would disagree.

We recently had a female nursery worker paedophile with 2 other females involved in the crime. They weren't in it for the profit either.

There are definitely female sex offenders out there.
