Dude, come down south, we can play Melee here XD

Also, marth is worse. Like, instead of being 100% pure **** sauce he's like 99.9998% **** sauce. Also, I actually hate Brawl Kirby, it makes me sort of sad :(
down south is far when you have no job and no gas...
but i do like melee enough to kill homeless people for their change...
and i like using brawl kirby more than melee kirby...
i think he's easier to use just like anyone else in brawl. hahaha

Are you joking? Melee Kirby is the easiest character to use ever. Just run to the ledge and inhale and wait for your opponent to fall into your mouth. From there its just Kirbycide and repeat till you've won. This is why Kirby was top tier in Melee.

Edit: have HomeMadeWaffles give you a ride down here, he still owes me a match from UCLA.

Have you seen din's fire in brawl? **** has a hitbox about 4 times too big and comes out fast. A smart player can just camp and win, approaching sucks in Brawl.

Melee is way better than brawl.
I've played zeldas it might be better but you guys are clearly exagerating... It's not just the fact that it's a zelda, but the fact that it's marth vs zelda... I would understand if it was someone slower like ganondorf.

Whaaaat, everyone knows Skler's a noob. Just ask Link Specialist.

Seriously though, it sucks that camping is not only a winning strategy, but is THE winning strategy.

I'm going to have to say that right now, Melee > Brawl. Just a bit though.

Hopefully this changes eventually. However, I don't see that happening any time soon, unfortunately.

Brawl is slow and you can easily recover. Less techniques and skill to play brawl now. I defiently like melee better

i like melee better, to me its more fast paced and has less chunky moovements
I like chunky soup... Melee is full of lipton chicken noodle soup. (there is no chicken! dam imitations...)
I guess different people have different tastes.:lick:

brawl was cool for the first week, but ultimately it just got pretty monotonous and i proceeded to miss melee more and more. melee is a better game. call me ignorant or what not, but thats just my opinion.

simply put, n00bs like brawl because their is more content and things to do (ie stickers, challenges, coin launcher) not much, but melee is much more competitive and thats what everyone on here likes better

lol I'm pretty sure even n00bs hate stickers, challenges and coin launcher. Three of the most pointless things in the game imo (besides tripping). n00bs like Brawl because it's new. Nuff said. They didn't care about the competitive part of smash, and probably never will. It's just another sequel to them.

Noob or not, I like stickers, challenges and the coin launcher.

For me brawl > melee just because of online play. I'm a graduate student and all of my highschool videogame buddies are in a different city. As such, the fact that brawl is a slower, campier game (which, all whining considered, is still plenty fun) is less important than the fact that I can play competitive players.

I only play Melee when I'm angry that Dr. Mario, Roy, and Pichu didn't make it into Brawl, mainly because I love all of Brawl's characters.

i'm already bored of talking about this to people...
i was at a local tourney talking to some of the people who smashed before brawl...
(most were new faces and only into brawl)
and most of us like melee more as a competitive game...
we were talking about throwing melee tourneys...

EVERYONE IN THIS THREAD (who is on the melee side) SHOULD TRY TO THROW A MELEE TOURNEY...

if you don't think that sounds like a good idea, then why are you posting here??

(melee life can return... and it can continue...)

As a fighting game... Melee > Brawl. Hands down.

No question about it. Brawl is such a failure as a fighting game.

How I wish we got a Melee 2.0 instead. :(

Haha indeed. With online, that woulda been too **** and Sakurai knew it but went with his gay "Everyone should be a winner" attitude and made Brawl xD.

Amen, Corey.

I also hate that "Melee wasn't played at its peak when it first came out."

Well, here's one ****ing thing: HAL wasn't TRYING to make the game ridiculously noob-friendly when they made Melee. There is no argument that they weren't for Brawl.
Noob-freindly=Brawl.

I still like both though.

While I fully agree that Brawl is the lesser of the two, I will continue to ride Brawl. Why? Fame. I think, if I try hard enough, I can become the Best player in the world. If I stay on top of things, learn to out camp everyone, and do things others can't (no matter how much Brawl tries to stop me in that), I think I'll go far. I'm just waiting on that one, big tourny to attend.

Brawl's speed would have been AMAZING if they had kept a focus on hit-stun combos. Meh, I don't really care which is better, I play both anyways.

Its funny, I was 3rd in a line of about 500 to go get brawl at midnight, got it at 12:01.

Now, if I don't have to, I will not play it ever again.

I do, I've played brawl and I think melee is better for most of the reasons mentioned before.

I like both, but Melee is Melee and the only reason I don't play it anymore (Or at least not that often) it's becasue everybody is playing Brawl and they don't give a sh*t about melee (they sucked at it)

Too bad, it's propably the best fighting game in the whole history and Sakurai did't care about its true fans...
