How long have you've gone without the Internet?

Hello all! Due to some technical difficulties, I have been without the internet in my household for nearly a month. I've gotta say, it was the most enduring period in my life. I think I've lost a bit of my sanity in that month. I never thought that having no internet would be such a hassle. Just think..............if even for a couple of days, if the internet wasn't up. Remember that episode of South Park? Yeah, I bet it'd be like that.

So I'm curious to know: How long have you gone without the internet?

I believe that I have gone a few days without internet.
For the first few years of my life, I did not touch any computers.

ive gone about 14 years without internet because i didn't have a computer lol.

once i got internet i went about 4 months (october november december and January wtf) without it. i lost interest with photoshop because i couldn't look at tuts or get new stocks or dl new brushes. very sad.

nah, but in seriousness, i've only been without internet the first 13 years of my life, ever since i've come to know and love what we call today the "internetz".

But even then I didn't bother with the internet as much as I did Pinball.

After that even, a year. I really don't know.. but lets get to the point where I was dependant on the internet...

It's been a week at the most or maybe 2. That's all though.

Ever since I've had it, I've probably had no access to it for maybe 2 weeks. I hate camping...those two weeks consisted of me sitting in front of a fire and eating in the afternoons, taking a shower, and going to bed.

not including the time before I got internet I'd estimate a week tops I don't really know. But nowadays if I don't have internet for even a day or two I don't know what to do with myself.

Excluding the years before I got internet, the most is probably about one month. I was at Disneyland for a few days, so all was made up for.

Well, I first started using the internet in around 3rd grade or something...

And I think at first I didn't care much about it, so I wouldn't count being "without the internet" at that point in time as a big deal. You can really only know how important something is to you when you use it often and are suddenly stuck without it.

Once I started using it more and figured out how awesome it can be, that's when going without it started to suck. I've been weeks without it (due to vacations and stuff).

I'm recently 20, and I remember having internet around the time I was 5. Hell dudes, I remember when my mother thought it was amazing AOL 2.0 was coming out.

Nothin' on anyone, I just thought that statement was pushing it, because it was out by '93.

Then again, I had an edge on most people, my father worked at the only ISP for my county, so we had a massive leg up.

Memories. Dial-up, DOS, floppy discs actually having meaning. Wonderful.


Also with that said, I've gone weeks and months without it.

Now that I look back on it I realise that it is about 1 week. When I looked back and thought about it I thought "OH MY ****ING GOD". When I go on Holiday (I'm still British) I have acces to the Information-super-highway but not my Wii

I didn't have my own computer until I was about 9 or 10. After that, the longest I've ever gone without internet was about 2 1/2 weeks. I took a trip to Alaska to see my family and we never used the computer because we were busy doing other things. I remembered how much I needed the computer when I was there.

I didn't get a computer intill I was 10, but I remember we had this really ****ty computer that whenever you pressed the rested button, when It was still on, it would stop working. It took around 6 months until we finally got a new one. >_> (this was in '06)
