I conducted a little experiment.
Instead of attempting to theorycraft with complete strangers in Brawl Tactical, I wanted to display my findings with people I actually play and know, in a scene relevant to where I Smash.
The Brawl community is split on the decision of Meta Knight. Ban him? Don't ban him and learn the matchup?
Both have valid points, what I did was take everyone from the Ontario scene I can remember, and added their mains, in an effort of telling whether Meta Knight is indeed; overcentralized.
Next, I took the active Melee scene, and compared Meta Knight to Fox, which you'll see later on in the TL;DR post to come.
Then I made comparisions of both metagames in order to conclude an answer. I was curious as to how this would turn out, so bear with my intellectual rambling which will probably spur many disagreements.
This will give people a general outlook on what the Ontario scene looks like.
Please note, I have included Quebec Smashers who have entered Ontario tournaments from March 2009 onwards. This also includes Ontario Smashers.
A
indicates that particular person has quit Brawl/Melee or is inactive.
Please let me know if any of the selected characters are wrong, I'll change them.
THE MELEE LIST IS NOW IN THE POST BELOW DUE TO LACK OF SPACE.
