i dont understand why ppl just dont mm mk mains. go drive to san angelo and play dojo all day. we even have the mk legal if its agreed legal. only if its not finals. im still pro-ban, but i dont mind mks legal either. and im sorry, but teams will be lower in turnout. i wont be suprised if the earnings are lower if a low turnout happens

Also, a lot of people are saying 10$ would be too expensive for them. A month to rack up 5$ more dollars? Doesn't sound too hard...adding 5 more wouldn't hurt much and can be much more rewarding.
Look at the skill level of those complaining about it.

I'm not even trying to bring personal reasons into it. I don't think doubles should be priced like a SIDE EVENT.

It would require literally LESS THAN HALF of the current amount of players to enter doubles in order to decrease earnings, lmao...

Yea, I asked M2K if he was coming to Hobo anytime soon, he said and I quote "**** NO! NOT WITH MK BANNED! LEAVE ME ALONE!"

He won't ocme til MK is banned, and this is sorta like Dragonball/Z. If we don't prepare for the Budokai Tenkaichi/Saiyans/Androids then we are gonna get beat/killed.

BTW Doubles is more appealing $5 a person. Unless you make singles $5 then I am fine.

Xyro, can we has Smash 64 side event?

We dont only want to play dojo. Mk's play differently, just like most other characters. If MK was legal, we would get players like M2K, tyrant, judge and other great MK's to come down. When these great players come, we get other great players to come too, like Anti and Chaos Marth JUST said. They'll come if Mk is legal.

thats the point razer. good players are taken up pretty fast. its not the price only, but the fact that losing is easier and less controllable by one person on a team. in singles, you lose, its your loss. in team, theres always the whos to blame card

Step it up.

That's a silly personal reason.

DOUBLES SHOULDN'T BE TREATED LIKE A SIDE EVENT.

You know what I did in order to make me suddenly raising doubles to $10 per person go over really well when I did it a while ago?

I said I'd always pay out 4th in doubles with at least money back, which basically encouraged middle class players to go for it anyways, keeping my doubles attendance high.

Broly I understand that and that is why each teammate should go into a match thinking team work.

Me and Zac barely teamed for Apex. We got 2nd. It just takes friendleis, pre-strategizing, and a mind set. I believe this was dphat's and Lee's first time teaming.

Eh, I've never been one to blame another. When I was apart of Broken Arrow I would always take the blame for it if we lost. Every time. I'd apologize like 10 times to Santi. He would do the same for me. Honestly it wasn't either of our faults. We won as a team and lost as a team.

All you have to do is find someone who wants it as bad as you do.

I like the payout for 4th idea.

If you want the same payout, then make singles $5 and dubs $10. Then it should be the same. I really don't want to go into doubles with somebody who isn't up there and then lose $20 altogether.

Other thing is I do this because it is fun, when I have to pay more to have the fun of competition it kinda defeats the purpose. I never have time to train, or anybody decent to play with. So, just speaking from that perspective it is what it is.

This harms competitiveness and will keep top OOS players from coming.

I didn't know doubles was only $5 per person, and if I did know, I would have seriously considered not going to HOBO 18. >_>;

Andilex and I teamed as a last minute thing at WHOBO when I beat his Diddy on FD. It was my first time ever entering doing dubz and we didn't get to do any doubles friendlies and we got 25th xD.

Best host on the east coast? really

Apex was amazing cause everyone helped not one person as it should.

I'd argue I always get the same , if not more, for teams than he does plus i get a lot for singles and stuff.

but that is besides the point.

Whatever Xyro decides is his choice but in the end he needs to try doing a non-mk banned tournament and alternate it with mk banned tournaments to judge turnouts and everyone's preference. I convinced him to do doubles with mk unbanned so that should not be an issue to convince him to do this.

As far as prices it really is up to the community. If the group, as a whole, take doubles seriously, than make it 10 if not just make it 5. Also, there is the fact that tournaments are for everyone not just the people who need it to pay bills and win. The side events should be low/mid tiers and , at the most, should be 5 bucks for its 1v1 or 2v2 and the main events should be a little more. In the end , though, it is entirely dependent on what the region decides.

CM sometimes you really do not know as much as you try to show. I can argue why things were the way they were at Apex and such on aim keep it out of this. I do not like being put in the same boat as people like him.

thanks for the support i hope you meant me. Either way Xyro has the final say. In my experience I listen to all people in my region and , based on that, make a decision. Xyro works hard for you all so I am sure he is very thankful for all your input.

Thats not a good compromise.. have MK banned in singles until our big tournaments, then we get ***** by all the OoS mks.. making MK look broken only to give you more reason to have MK banned here.
Challenges meta players to MMs.
Pick up meta.
Practice against metas at events.

Dont come back and john about "its not the same as a tourney match" because YOU CHOOSE the atmosphere your fight is in. NO JOHNS.

QFT

What's it gonna take to make you listen?
When you people start thinking about the innocent players you have stolen wins from, i might consider bringing him back.

When you people realize its NOT about how many metas WIN an event, i might consider making him legal.

When you people learn that its not about how MANY people MAIN metaknight, i could consider maiking meta legal.

When you people can find a way to CP meta by character and stage, i might consider making him legal.

When you people accept you ****ing suck and STOP switching to metaknight and stealing wins because your main got molested, then i will consider bringing him back.

When you people stoping posting "too good" or "your sexy" or "have my babies" or "u mad" or any other ****ing stupid over-used slogan that is 100% annoying and seen in every other god **** post, i might consider bringin him back.

When you people quit complaining about the small **** and show a SLIGHT bit of respect/appreciation for the work i do and the **** i go through to make each and every event i RUN or HELP RUN as much fun as possible(you know who you are), then i might consider bringing him back.

When you people accept that i am allowed to run my events ANY WAY I ****ing want and you MAKE the ****ing choice to go to each and every HOBO, then i might bring meta back.

When you people accept that what i do STILL keeps the pros winning(and having fun) while allowing the newer gen to still have a chance(and have fun), then i will allow metaknight.

When you people stop posting one-liner posts for 3-4 **** pages, then i will consider the return of metaknight.

When you people stop sucking other players **** or following popular opinion or whats "cool" and make up your own **** mind on issues, i could consider bring metaknight back.

When you people(the very same ones who ***** about the event running late) show up on time to events, then i might consider having metaknight legal.

When you people stop crying about how hard your pool/bracket is when the TO or the helper of the TO tries his mother ****ing best to make the pools as fair as possible.

When this scene becomes like the old melee scene........god i miss melee right about now.

TLDR version:

I am SO sick of smash/certain people of this community/drama and the insane amount of common sense that is MISSING from this scene. You people only think about you you you and not the rest. I drive 1.5 to 2 hours to pick-up/drop off people for events. I drive people 8+ hours to an event. I stay up till 5:30am fixing a flat tire(which i did not cause) in oklahoma for a person who now dislikes me for my OPINION about him. I gave up my spot in an event so another player who was left out of the bracket for some reason(fs6). Ive let certain people into my events for FREE because they were broke but really wanted to go. Ive help people with personal problems. Ive apologized for people(innui) who were rude during teams to certain friends of mine(dphat/bwett). Do i not go around and ask you people at each and every event "are you ok?" Do i not get you a chair to sit on or a table to lay on(broly only). Do i not check up on you and offer basic help when you have your ****ing jaw ripped open and are in constant pain? Does Xyro ever express his willingness to come over and talk to your parents about you going to FS6 or a HOBO or SWAT or OHSNAP 5? I think about others, why can you?

Im not asking for a thanks. Im not banning meta because its what XYRO WANTS(by banning meta ive actually increased the falco's/diddy's/ddd's/marth's........all of which MOLEST SAMUS)i ban him because i feel its FAIR and it WILL keep this game alive longer. Im not pointing fingers, im simply asking YOU PEOPLE to STFU when it comes to complaing or saying things like "what will it take for you to listen?" ACCEPT MY RULES or DONT and in both cases, PLEASE SHUT THE **** UP AND PLAY THIS GAME!

PS: in just a few short months i will be gone and YOU PEOPLE can run this place to the ground and piss on it for all i care.
