Houston Thread - No HOBOs and no WHOBOs. What do we do now??????????????????????????????????????????

TLDR version:

I am SO sick of smash/certain people of this community/drama and the insane amount of common sense that is MISSING from this scene. You people only think about you you you and not the rest. I drive 1.5 to 2 hours to pick-up/drop off people for events. I drive people 8+ hours to an event. I stay up till 5:30am fixing a flat tire(which i did not cause) in oklahoma for a person who now dislikes me for my OPINION about him. I gave up my spot in an event so another player who was left out of the bracket for some reason(fs6). Ive let certain people into my events for FREE because they were broke but really wanted to go. Ive help people with personal problems. Ive apologized for people(innui) who were rude during teams to certain friends of mine(dphat/bwett). Do i not go around and ask you people at each and every event "are you ok?" Do i not get you a chair to sit on or a table to lay on(broly only). Do i not check up on you and offer basic help when you have your ****ing jaw ripped open and are in constant pain? Does Xyro ever express his willingness to come over and talk to your parents about you going to FS6 or a HOBO or SWAT or OHSNAP 5? I think about others, why can you?

Im not asking for a thanks. Im not banning meta because its what XYRO WANTS(by banning meta ive actually increased the falco's/diddy's/ddd's/marth's........all of which MOLEST SAMUS)i ban him because i feel its FAIR and it WILL keep this game alive longer. Im not pointing fingers, im simply asking YOU PEOPLE to STFU when it comes to complaing or saying things like "what will it take for you to listen?" ACCEPT MY RULES or DONT and in both cases, PLEASE SHUT THE **** UP AND PLAY THIS GAME!






PS: in just a few short months i will be gone and YOU PEOPLE can run this place to the ground and piss on it for all i care.

...you know how I said I had a high fever during hobo18? Well, I've had it since and we went to the doctor and waited for 4 hours. That was one longest doctor's waits I've ever had.

As for the doubles cost, I'm not sure I'd want to enter doubles if it's $10 each. If you make dubz to $10, and singles to $5, I'd probably enter. $20 is too much for me if I can just play friendlies anyways.

This is true. Though I don't like how Xyro takes away every player who plays MK's victories from them, I respect his choice to ban mk. Other people can host other metaknight legal tournaments. Step it up guise.

Apex was amazing cause everyone helped not one person as it should.

That team was formed by me. Magus, my dad, and Rigel did sooooo much behind-the-scenes things that made the event possible in the first place.

In fact, my dad was the most important person by far. If he didn't make those power strips, boost the AC, etc., it wouldn't have been physically possible to make the event happen.

My strength as a host is my ability to create a strong team and command it. I know what everyone can do, and I have them do what they're best at. It's that simple.

I'd argue I always get the same , if not more, for teams than he does plus i get a lot for singles and stuff.

When you compare singles and doubles turnouts, not really. I get like the same numbers for doubles but I have less singles entrants by a few.

Your event is also next to NYC, which is fuxing amazing for you. I'm an hour or more from NYC. Sorry, but I don't have the largest city on Earth to pull attendance from nor does my event take place in a huge city like Jersey City.

CM sometimes you really do not know as much as you try to show. I can argue why things were the way they were at Apex and such on aim keep it out of this. I do not like being put in the same boat as people like him.

I know for a fact that you have been saying terrible things about me for the past several months. I've heard this from many reliable people and I've seen AIM logs. I am elitist. This is because I am elite. I will always think that way, I will always be this way. If you expect others to tolerate your flaws as a person, you should tolerate the flaws of others.

When you people can find a way to CP meta by character and stage, i might consider making him legal.

Snake beats Meta Knight almost everywhere.

Meta Knight kinda sucks on FD.

Ice Climbers and Diddy Kong on neutrals win or go even.

The old Melee scene was pretty cool.

The NEW Melee scene is atrocious, though.

Hmm, go back and look at the results for OOS players attending my meta banned events(iirc, oos/oon showed up to each and every one). I wonder if they showed up. Oh and me banning meta does not mess with tx traveling to oos events, lol! Dont tell me your that stupid.

Just for the record, I attended HOBO 18 because I wanted to spend time with DugFinn and the two doubles events gave me a chance to turn this into a very cheap trip. If MK was banned at a large regional event, I'd certainly never normally go.

I'll go to HOBO 19 if Lee Martin teams with me.

Please do research when trying to make me look bad. Several cites/tournies/states across the usa have banned metaknight. I am not the only one.

Jerm, your constant complaining about not having enough meta exp is just flat out YOUR FAULT. Ive mentioned SEVERAL ways for you to get it and you refuse but still complain.


And to be fair, do you REALLY think you will beat dojo/tyrant/m2k? Ill help you out, no. if the BEST TLs out there cant do it and SANTI(who played dojo for decades) cant do it.........you have no hope. The lower level meta you will beat already(because you are just flatout awesome at this game) but the ones ive mention you wont.

I already said that I focus on creating a strong team of people with various strengths and then I command that team to do what they're good at. That's how I host. I am humble in the sense that I admit I need people like Magus to make my events awesome and I need Izumi as a driver to get people from the train stations.

I love my team, and I show my appreciation by paying them well.

Dude, no TL can even beat my MK (sorry but I have indeed ***** you all at some point and only lose or come close to losing if I can't powershield), let alone the three best ones. >_>;

It's a horrible match-up and probably TL's worst one.

The TL players are typically very smart and amazing.....but the character isn't that good.

I think the best advice is always to not pay attention to you. I see that as the easiest way to a problem like you. For the record about Atomsk he does not talk to me on aim or in person as much so as much as I tried to talk with him he does his own thing which is fine.

As far as money...that is great you all get paid and I thank you for Apex money you gave me that I used to reimburse Crismas for the badges she made + giving Tx a Cab ride home so they can not worry about getting back to the Airport on time. Yup yup a $150 cab ride that I helped them pay for ( I forget the amount but I paid for most of it IIRC ).

I do not see you as a person that states facts. I see you as a person that needs to remind himself that he has to mean something. You use facts and , at times, skew them to make yourself feel better. At times I pity beings like you but now I feel that you will always do horrid things to others and make them feel bad. With that in mind, despite your decent qualities, I find your greed and desire for your own well-being to borderline pure evil. No one should ever follow in your footsteps as a player or even a person. I see to many why you are arguably the most hated smasher and I see that you stay around cause you like that people hate you and that you want people to acknowledge you. That is your power and how you feel good about yourself. I am proud to be nothing like you and that I have all the things you could never have. ive seen dire vulcan and bum and neo(roy) and taj and gimpy do insane things to very well know players multiple times. Melee did NOT have 100-0 match-ups.......MAYBE pichu or something but in brawl, there is a **** load of them.

There are no 100-0 matchups in this game.
