Tripping is stupid, and everyone knows it. But it's part of the game and has an equal chance of happening to anyone, so there's nothing you can do...
The chances of tripping are always the same, but the fact is that some characters absolutely NEED to dash, while others only have the dash as a commodity. So even though the odds of tripping are always constant, characters that dash more often are at a higher risk of tripping and being put at a disadvantage than characters that don't dash often (again, looking towards the more aerial-oriented characters).
ICs trip more often because there's two, and Sonic will trip much more than any other character because he needs to dash often.
In one match during WHOBO, I tripped 5 times; I usually average around 3 trips per match.
Oh, and no joke, the most I've tripped in a 3-stock, 7 minute match IN TOURNAMENT was 10 times, and I've died more than two-dozen times from trips.
I don't think there's any other person that could despise tripping as much as a Sonic main.
But eh, it's in the game, and even so, there's a way to get rid of that horrid element, given the TO agrees to allow it.
*hands out a "Falco is too ghey to play" membership card*
Wow, do we even have any falcos left now? Lol
Falcos are bleh. Throw them all in the frier. Chicken Fried Falco...
Once they hit 56, I'm going to pause the game, turn to them, and smile with the biggest grin you've ever seen. Like that trippy cat off of Alice in Wonderland.
This is absolutely amazing.
Or you could jsut play the match and use the status results as an indicator, so you can actually focus on the match. <_>
He could, but his way is much more funny.

Oh, and I think I'll keep out of the MK conversation as well. There's enough crap surrounding that character as is.
