Anyone going to subway fight night in San Antonio next week? I may need to give away my bus tickets.

Oh and that boy then died of cancer due to the skin graphs the doctors tried on him.

This is a sick ****ing world we live in and it's stories like these that make me hate this civilization even more.

Yeah, I researched into it and watched some videos.

The guy who did it was like 16 or 17 at the time he ***** and burned the kid, and only did it because he was afraid that he would rat on him for ****** him two weeks earlier.

Still got charged with first degree murder as an adult 8 years later when the kid died and spread the information of what happened to him.

Court awarded 150 billion or something to the family, doubt any of it will ever get paid to her. How does the financial process of dishing that kind of money work out anyways? I would think of it as something along the lines of symbolic in representing how much the child's life was worth or placing some sort of value on "justice". But I don't think it really even merits anything, and if it does.. wouldn't it be better off spent on someone or something that promotes charity and 3rd world problems?

Poor children. How can people be so evil? What must you do to a child to let them think that's okay?

I'm honestly scared of having children because of **** like this. I wouldn't know how to take it if something like this happened to my children or Gaby :(

I believe they take all of your ready money and all the equity you have on everything and then when you finally get out of jail, you must repay them by law. So every bit of money you get after that is theirs. Doubt his life has that much equity, so basically when he gets out, his life is nothing and ruined. It would be in his best interest to stay in jail if he'd like to live a semi-meaningful life.

It's just something you have to acknowledge and hope for the best against.
There's no real way to avoid it.. especially in particular situations like that.

Being afraid to bring life into the world is definitely understandable but not something that should trump having a child at the end of the day (in my opinion). Life and stuff like that mainly just boils down to chance. Are you willing to show someone that is your own the beautiful things life has to offer even on the off chance of something like that happening?

I only believe you should if you're able to handle the emotional stress that comes with it, although that's really hard to expect from pretty much any normal or sane human being.

This kind of stuff reminds me a lot of the movie Se7en.

Jail is a way out for people like this, which is utterly pathetic. I have never and will never support the death penalty, but I'm sure something can be done to enforce him repaying back whatever loan he has to this family. Indentured servant as an option or something. Strip away his rights as a human since he obviously can't respect others and have him pay back to both the community and the family he inflicted so much grief upon.

Of course I'll choose to have children, but man that is just scary. It's scary because that kind of thing can't be controlled without being crazily overprotective and even if you are, it can STILL happen.

World's scary.
I honestly don't blame people for not having children specifically due to extreme reasons like that.

Lot's of people couldn't handle it.

Im not blaming anything on that kid what-so-ever but im extremely disappointed he didn't speak up sooner than he did. I understand he was XYZ or ABC that caused him not to say anything but things could have been done to catch/punish the criminal sooner had the kid opened up. regardless, whats happened/happening to him and his family is horrific and it makes me so mad/sad.

This def relates to what just happened in court 2 weeks ago with amanda/her sister and in the future with my daughter. WE(as a people) need to get our kids/friends to report **** as soon as it happens. As well as not have fear of bringing kids into the world because they are truly a GIFT. yes protect them and yes teach them as best as you can about dangers/evil...ect but dont hold back their existance just cause danger/evil exists and/or you are too much of a wimp to "handle" what COULD or COULD NOT happen to a child you bring in.
