The AI is definitely smarter this time around since they'll wait with their good items. I'm playing 50cc and I've been hit with a lightning bolt, red shell, and spiked shell while gliding. And yes, red shells can follow you in the air. I'm looking forward to 150cc...

Xyro, people have already found one major shortcut glitch and online players have been abusing it for obvious reasons. The glitch or the course should be banned for Hoko...

I'll test snaking later but from what I've read, it's extremely situational for the most part and not nearly as effective, similar to MKWii's snaking.

Good lord, I managed to tumble into a pit after getting hit by a blue shell on one of the courses...and it was 50cc. -6 coins indeed. Sucks you can only get a maximum of 10 coins per course. The unlocks for coins are random, what you unlock is random, and you need at least 3000 to get everything unlocked through coins. Grind away.

Getting three stars is far easier than the other MKs.
