In all honesty I probably could learn a lot from sheik mains since my Sheik is 90% solely based off of my own experience since I've never talked much to sheik players.

Actually vanish isn't that good....... The best way to kill with her is frame traps at the ledge and end with Bair. Laos, weak Bair> strong Bair is legit and kills often around 120%. When you have a character that puts damage on like Sheik 120 is easy to get the foe to.

I agree about frame trapping as the best tactic. But vanish does kill rather well. Especially as a ledge trap, since it's fairly hard to punish if it misses.
