@Red Ryu: Hmm, my thoughts on Tery? There's not much to comment on so far. I don't much like this random accusation:

You're clearly just trying to distance each other as a distraction.
I'd like to see Tery respond to my questions wrt this. If his answers satisfy me, he's still null. As is everyone except for Tokyo, who is confirmed mafia until he provides us with a paraphrasing of his win condition.

I suppose it is kind of RvS, though there is a bit of content here with how people have reacted to things so far already.

For example, Tokyo is already super scummy.

I obviously took that into account when factoring in his overall mafia-vibes. He's emitting rays of scum. Perhaps when he replies, I will feel better.

Why do you think I'm pushing him so hard?

Yes.

If Tokyo does nothing on D1, we lynch him if we got no one better, no if ands or buts.
I might oppose this. What are you going to do about it?

The fallback lynch structure is stupid. There is no need to plan things out to that extent at this point in the game, mkay?

@everyone: RR is the only one who has responded to my 132 thus far. Get on it please.

So our perceptions differ, I do not estimate the current amount of information to be worthy enough for me to say, "We are out of RVS." But I guess that is only a subjective thought.

TG policy lynch if nobody else pops up? okay.

I already kind of replied on the guus part and yes he was contradicting himself but if anything he was just trying to score points with JTB.
lemme read back a bit to see what you said on JTB.

I might oppose this. What are you going to do about it?
If your town, I would trust you had a good reason for it.

If he is a true determent at the end of the day and we're not pushing anyone else as a good lynch candidate, I'm going to first ask why, and then if your reasoning is shady push your lynch if it shows your going to be just as bad.

But I know you wouldn't push that unless you had a good reason as town.

The fallback lynch structure is stupid. There is no need to plan things out to that extent at this point in the game, mkay?
Read his posts, then tell me why we shouldn't?

Come home from a nice weekend and I see this **** >: (
Gonna mess up quotes in here.

Gustave's behaviour with respect to the gambit is somewhat contradictory and is characterized by being super safe.

Posts that suggest Gustave does not believe the gambit:

Note how after the fact he calls the gambit blatantly obvious. First post here suggests that he never had any idea of what JTB's motivation was, which he later confirms in 123. If he knew the gambit was fake, yet could not discern any reason for it, why does he not show any suspicion of JTB for it? Instead he makes a post opposing pressure on JTB in 44.
Why I did not show suspicion of JTB for his fake-claim of day cop:
I don't believe JTB is mafia, because of everything he did. I find it much harder to believe that a scum would put himself that out there on day 1, post 1, faking a copclaim with not much chance to get a lynch in.
I never showed suspicion because the fake-claim itself already cleared him for me, for now, as far as I'm concerned.
Opposing the pressure on JTB in 44:
It's exactly what I posted, it's not legit in my opinion to lynch someone for a flavour mix-up. I also think pressuring him for that isn't legit. Flavour doesn't always have to make sense, even if the mod spooges all over the subject. What it did do is make me doubt his claim even more.

Yet here, before the gambit was revealed, he feels the need to question sanity and such. These posts certainly do not suggest that he felt the gambit was "blatantly" obvious. Second post feels faked given the context.
Yeah, I didn't want to completely cockblock JTB and call him out the claim, so I played along with it (I wasn't 100% if it was a fake claim, there was always the possibility, but you know, 90% sure). I didn't care much to help him pressure TG7 because I don't really agree with his way of pressuring.
Second post also was faked, playing along.

Other posts that I dislike because he's just defending others:

He defends people on both sides, and neither of the posts provide much insight. ie- they could have been made by the person being confronted, yet he feels the need to step in. Why is he posting for them? Fake contributing? Trying to prevent future confrontation?

I never stepped in, I merely voiced my opinion. Yes, it was an opinion in favour of JTB, deal with it. See my response above to why I posted this.

I kept this post cleaner than I thought it would be.

T-block I don't really get what there is to reply to as far as your stance on JTB goes. Other than that he flunked the gambit and you "don't like him", I don't really see anything (unless you're referring to something before #116, then I gotta read again.)
I don't really like JTB myself either but that's because he was dumb enough to think enough people would pick up on his gambit in a DR mafia game, and then fail to realise people are not picking up on it (like myself)

Auspher, is there anyone you don't have as null?

TG, please tell me you are actually looking up how mafia works at least. I don't even mean strategies, you the basic goals and mechanics. you have done that right?

You can't have null on JTB, after the fake-claim to get a reaction, can you? You must have thoughts on someone other than TG7. Are you just being lazy or not wanting to contribute?

You know, I'm having the hardest time trying to get used to it.

I know my roles and restrictions. I just don't know when to do just that.

TG you can ask Xiivi pretty much anything (over PM) that doesn't relate to the very basics of mafia.

also "roles"? plural? care to clarify that?

No one should have any good reads at this stage of the game. Everyone is still null to me because we are hardly out of RvS. I'm being neither lazy nor avoiding contribution.

Also, yes, I can have null after that gambit. It isn't telling towards either alignment.

What makes you think it should move JTB's alignment from null for me?

What about his gambit made you lean towards either alignment? All that he did can be easily faked by scum or it could've been a legitimate gambit to get reads and reactions out of Tokyo.

They could even be distancing scummates.

D1 we are going to choose a lynch that will help us win the game - that's all there is to it. Ideally it's one that gives a lot of connections going into future Days. Why are you even entertaining the idea that we will waste D1 to such an extent that we'll have to say "oh well, let's just lynch the guy who was useless in the first 36 hours of D1"? You keep saying "if we have no one better", but that in itself is a problem - why do we have no one better?

My issue is not that you are okay with seeing TG7 lynched. It's that you feel the need to designate him as a fallback lynch when a fallback lynch is wholly unnecessary if we play properly. RR, what is the benefit of instituting a fallback lynch structure for this game? Even if we did need to fall back, why not just let that happen towards the end of the Day? Why explicitly state the strategy now?

As an aside, what is your read on TG7 then? Do you truly believe he is scum?

T-block I don't really get what there is to reply to as far as your stance on JTB goes. Other than that he flunked the gambit and you "don't like him", I don't really see anything (unless you're referring to something before #116, then I gotta read again.)

I just want to know what you thought of the post in general, and if there was anything in it that suggested JTB might be scum. Do you dislike him at the moment because he was dumb, or do you think there was scum motivation?

What if I said to focus on this part of my post - that he opted to "dismiss any information gained on TG7 in favour of casting suspicion on pretty much everyone else". He is poised to be able to springboard onto pretty much any wagon that arises, no?

Still waiting. JTB comes the closest to leaning scum, but like I said earlier, I still am unsure.
Just to be clear, you're referring to your 155 right? So your reasoning for JTB being scum is that he might have been trying to push a quick lynch?

No one should have any good reads at this stage of the game. Everyone is still null to me because we are hardly out of RvS. I'm being neither lazy nor avoiding contribution.

Second post also was faked, playing along.
Okay, so let's make sure we're on the same page:

You think JTB is not mafia because he put himself in the spotlight with a daycop claim. Do you not think it's possible that scum would fake that?

You were only 90% sure that a "blatantly obvious" fakeclaim was actually fake. Really?

You said you "didn't want to completely cockblock JTB and call him out on the claim"... so you think saying something like "Tokyo, are you scum? Why would JTB say you're scum if you say you aren't" basically right after saying something like "No, because I find it hard to believe that you would investigate TokyoGamer, someone who has never played before, over a more expierenced player to clear them" counts as not completely cockblocking?

@John, why do you support that notion?
Tokyo's a large null for me right now, but I would more than likely support a FB Lynch on him at the very end of the Day, if we have no-one else. It's too early in the Day to say for sure, since someone could slip/give someone away before then.

But... I don't want to take this one. :(

John, why would we lynch a null read? I'm one to love garnering connections, and we get none from setting up a policy lynch for a "just in case" scenario. If it's too early in the day to say for sure, why are you agreeing with something that sets a lynch in stone? That sounds pretty "for sure" to me.

We will come to a majority lynch, and they will provide us more information than a policy lynch.

Right, guys?

I'm assuming we have a form of PR that can deal with question marks much better than using up our D1 lynch on them can.

Do you have anything to add, T-Block? I'm not sure exactly what you wanted me to say.

We have 5 days to gather info and decide, Kan, so it's not like we are trying to kill TG7 right out of the gate. Personally, I would wait until the last...probably 12 hours before I got onto a backup lynch.

but why decide now what we're going to do in 5 days, instead of, you know. five days?

Why are you so concerned about your well-being? Are you scum?

Also, T-Block, if I don't get to your #132 tonight, I'll get to it after S.M. Town 2011.

You know what. I'm requesting a modkill then until the next game.

I'll be spectating this mafia game to see how it goes.

Win/wins for everybody.
